Complete crap. Size of the sushi is like maybe a nickel if not smaller and is very pricy. Taste is mediocre and not worth the money. Go to suketumi in rehoboth.

I came here expecting decent sushi, and decent service. I went in thinking it wouldn’t too busy, but unfortunately it was. But that was my mistake, so I asked if I could order take out, and they«allowed» it. First I work in the food industry, I know dealing with customers is a drag and sucks sometimes, but that’s what you are getting paid for… literally if you are a hostess. I’m not asking for small talk, just a simple non-condescending tone of voice with no rolls of the eyes. Is that really hard? That wasn’t the worst of it. The sushi that I paid a ridiculous price for was definitely not worth it. Each piece was no wider than a nickle. In the future I will definitely go to saketumi in Rehoboth. It is more bang for your money. The portions are larger, and cheaper than that of this places. I would say the quality is greater at saketumi as well. Thanks for nothing misaki. As a local, and avid sushi eater, you dissapoint me.

Unassuming spot in small strip center, being from California, we would not have thought of Sushi at a Delaware beach. We went with local friends and loved everything we had. The sashimi was fresh with good texture. The chef removes the carapace from the ama ebi heads before frying — making them totally«munchable». The tempura batter is light on a nice assortment of veggies with two prawns(a good value at $ 10). We would return!

This is by far the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The fish is always fresh and the service outstanding. They have unique and creative rolls every night along with your more traditional ones. I really like the shin sonic named after the owner and the fire cracker. Lots of parking but I recommend reservations.

Went there for New Year’s Eve. Everything was EXCELLENT. Ryan the owner was super friendly, quick and helpful. The pomegranate martini and«cuke-tini» were great. had a tuna & spinach dip with homemade fried wontons, Chilean sea bass bites, veggie tempura appetizers = awesome! my friends had a surf & turf(filet & king crab) which was so good. I had a sushi dinner which was about 12 different prices of sushi– so good. would definitely go back & recommend it.

Seated immediately for our 6:30 reservation. It was ladies night and women got 25% off some appetizers. Nice touch. The 4 of us ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything was very good. A variety of appetizers, rolls, soup and wine. Nothing was sub-par, including the service which was friendly, attentive and prompt. If you like sushi this is the place.

We have been coming here ever since they first opened. We have been to many sushi restaurants from coast to coast. This is by far the best. We now live outside of philly but we still travel down once a month. Love it

Today, I had an appetizer that included ocean trout that was elegantly prepared, so fresh and so good. A very welcoming place to dine.

This is a pretty good sushi restaurant. The service is friendly and the fish is fresh. Most of the rolls have tempura in them and we are not huge tempura fans so we were very limited in what we could order. We had: Dragon roll — one of the few rolls without tempura — very good Tuna Belly appetizer — very good Tuna Sashimi — tasty Scallop Sashimi — good but they put a tiny slice of lime on each individual slice. It totally overpowered the flavor of the fish. Salmon roe with quail egg — tasty Tamago — tasty Surf Claim sushi — tasty but a bit chewy — I am not a huge raw clam fan. Tuna sushi — tasty Smoked Salmon sushi — good The pickled ginger was inedible, way too strong. Both the hubby and I started to cough right after a taste. We are both big pickled ginger fans too. The wasabi was way too strong. The smallest piece would bring tears to your eyes. Due to the lack of sushi options in Bethany Beach, we would probably come back.

Certainly a great relief from the pizza and fried food you find at the beach. The sushi was extremely fresh and very well prepared. I am used to NYC style/quality sushi and you can expect food on par with higher end restaurants. The only down side is the front desk staff. There were two women their dealing with take out orders, expediting carry out and seating patrons and they really did not do any of it well. They were slow and disorganized.

The past couple times I’ve gone the water has tasted badly which ruined my meal because I don’t drink soda.

If you are a sushi fan as I am then don’t miss Misaki. Don’t be fooled by its unassuming location in a strip mall. It rivals some of the finer sushi restaurants I’ve been to. The specials are fresh, delicious and creatively prepared and served. You can’t go wrong with any of the old standbys from the regular menu either. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing after a day on the beach and reservations are accepted. Try one of the specialty drinks on the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t hesitate to add Jumbo crabmeat as an add-on to some of the rolls. It’s a bargain and a treat for about $ 5 extra. Can you tell I’m obsessed with the place? They have a loyal following and with good reason.

let me start by saying this review was originally a 1 star. But that quickly changed. We had made reservations for 7:45 on a Friday. When we arrived the new hostess made a mistake and didn’t mark us down however the Owner Ryan came over and made it all Good!!! The food at this place was amazing, you cant go wrong with anything on this menu. however as a recommendation try the Seafood Caspachio. Wow!!! His Sushi Chef is incredible, presentation was beautiful, service was great. Overall great dining experience. Great find in South Bethany

My wife and I were there with our young daughter last week and we saw the reviews on Unilocal and thought it worth a go. Upon arrival, we ended up with bar seating with the high chair between us. It was my wife’s idea and the staff were accommodating. Pretty much everyone on the staff said hi to us. While I would like to think that it’s from my boyish good looks, I’m fairly certain that they were saying hi mostly to my daughter. We started with the calamari and it was excellent. It was lighter than most calamari — I’m unsure if they used panko, but it just didn’t feel as «southern fried» as some. My wife doesn’t remember the rolls that she got, but she enjoyed them a lot. I got the spicy chef’s choice or something like that — it was three spicy rolls. I thought that there were okay, but two were a bit on the bland side. Our desert was(and I apologize for not remembering the actual name) but it was a chocolate brownie-type thing with ice cream and whipped cream. Simply delicious. The staff was fantastic and our place at the end of the bar resulted in a few conversations as both servers, the manager, and the hostess came by to chat. My only other point of note was that there was no baby changing area in the men’s bathroom. Nothing like changing a poopy diaper in the trunk of my car. :( That being said, we would look forward to returning on our next vacation here.

one of the best places to get sushi at the beach, if not the best. calamari is hard to beat, fenwick island roll is quite possibly my favorite sushi roll ever, coconut crab soup is a must have, ambiance is great and the service is always awesome — told reservations were necessary now adays and its true. the place was bumping the entire time we were there. always have awesome specials too which is nice for sushi goers like my boyfriend and i that are pretty set in our ways(tonight we had calamari, an awesome tuna app with avo seaweed salad and crab imperial, and oysters on the half shell topped with an awesome salsa and king salmon) this place has been and will continue to be one of the few spots we will always frequent for date night — glad to have it close by and to watch it keep getting better and better

5 stars for quality, service, and flavor. Tempura calamari to start. Crunchy on the outside and very tender on the inside and comes with two dipping sauces. The mixed green salad with sashimi was a great choice — surprises scattered among the greens and veggies. Went classic with tuna roll and eel roll, but Ryan brought a tempura fried tuna roll with blue crab chunks and jalapeño, too. Out of this world! My wife has chicken teriyaki — delicious with a healthy helping of string beans. Make a reservation sometime and treat yourself to a great meal

Yokozuna used to be my favorite sushi place in Ocean City…(until I discovered OC Wasabi) however, I have been told that the previous owners or chef’s from Yokozuna(not sure which ones) are now at Misaki… and I have been here with friends and found the sushi to be excellent and the décor and service to be great. It’s too bad that it’s not closer to where I am in Berlin but it is definitely worth the trek. A bit expensive, but not at all unexpected for bethany.

Fantastic. Very helpful server. Made great suggestions. I suggest the a sea bass appetizer for sure. Presentation fair but taste of food makes up for it.
