Great store with wonderful handmade items that are unique and reasonably-​priced. We go in several times a year when we are in town. Owner is friendly and very helpful — stop by!

Bethany Beach, DE
I have been coming to South Bethany for as long as I can remember, and since this store has been open I have stopped in each time I come down. There’s always something new to see and the prices could not be beat. The jewelry is fantastic and beautiful. There are plenty of lovely decorations for the home and an eclectic array of instruments. This place is different from any other store at the beach and is worth the stop. Staff is always friendly!
If you don’t need a bag for your purchased items they’ll give you a small chocolate!

Made by Hand is in a little strip mall on the Coastal Highway. It’s easy to miss, tucked in between a gourmet market and a bait and tackle shop.
The store is crammed with fair trade items from all over the world. There is a great selection of jewelry, novelty items and clothing. When I was there the store also had a good variety of Christmas ornaments from Russia, South America and Asia in addition to the usual craft items.

I walked in to the tune of drums, flutes, and other instruments being played by young beachgoers trying out the different instruments offered here.
This store is a great respite from the overpriced «beachy» stores and outlets up and down the Delamarva coast. Very similar to the Ten Thousand Villages stores which are found in many metropolitan areas, this store has numerous fair trade products available. Jewelry, ornaments, instruments, just to name a few things! Reasonable prices and you will feel good about your purchase. Definitely fun and cool place at the beach!
