I have to give this amazing place a 5 stars. This is because I honestly have never really been a chocolate guy I’ve always like all the starbursts and sour patch kids but this place has complete changed my idea of good candy. It is also amazing because it’s no to expensive and they have a great variety. This is why they deserve a 5 star rating.

If you love coconut, then you are in for the thrill of a lifetime. The TOASTED coconut ice cream at Kilwin’s is OUTOFTHISWORLD! A taste sensation beyond anything you’ve ever tried. I had read on Unilocal about Kilwin’s toasted coconut but until I actually experienced it myself, I could only wonder, «is it really that delicious?» Believe me folks, ITISAMAZING! FYI: Dark chocolate ice cream and toasted coconut, the BEST combo ever. Treat yourself.

Fresh made fudge, delicious traditional ice cream, and assorted candies and chocolates will ensure no one can resist their temptations. Their toasted coconut or makinac island fudge ice cream flavors are outstanding and the fudge is top shelf.

I wanted to write to thank the two gentleman that worked tonight(oct 26th). My family had a wonderful experience !! They were very friendly and went out of their way to make it a nice experience most especially to my husband who just had jaw surgery and could only do shake options. My family really appreciated it.

Stopped in at Kilwins thinking it would be be a great relief from the heat. Ordered a tin roof sundae. The chopped pecans tasted stale and«store bought» marshmallow fluff even though Kilwins has there own marshmallow sauce. Asked for a glass of water and was told I c old either buy water or use the water fountain. Looked at the fountain and looked kind of moldy. I WON’T be going back.

Their fudge and chocolates are great. Got the peanut butter cup and it was delicious. 10x better than a Reese’s Cup. However, their ice cream was okay. They have some interesting flavors but the quality wasn’t good.

Have visited often for ice cream only. Good stuff but Very pricey-$ 8 for a milkshake. Ice cream prices are expensive too. Most recent times-experienced terrible service from people that look/seem like managers. Rude, playing extremely explicit music loudly, told friend after asking a question to «f***ing leave then a**hole». I was shocked. Shouldn’t have given them my business and won’t ever again.

I first encountered Kilwin’s in Ann Arbor, then Holland, MI, then South Bend and Chicago and I’m in love with the toasted coconut. I’ve been to Kilwin’s probably dozens of times now since moving up north in 2009 and I’ve only gotten something different than toasted coconut twice. I can’t help it. I must have it. Occasionally with a scoop of dark chocolate, but thats only when I’ve had a rough day.

Went this evening for the first time – will definitely go again. Salted caramel, cinnamon crumb cake, and south bend mud ice cream. YUM.

What’s not to love? Best fudge in town without having to trek up to Michigan! Another perk is I walk my two dogs here and not only are they always welcome to hang out with me on the patio, often the workers will come out and give them treats! Any place that is pup-friendly is five stars in my book.

You can literally smell Kilwin’s while walking down Eddy Street. The smell is what first drew me in on a hot summer day. I had the toasted coconut ice cream and now I refuse to splurge on dessert anywhere else. The price is a bit higher than normal ice cream shops, but that’s what you get with a designer chocolate store. I can justify the price for a delicious treat for myself once in a while. The chocolates and caramel apples are a big seller. Although I’m not a fan of caramel, the smell is almost enough to make me love it. Conveniently located directly across from Notre Dame’s campus, it is definitely worth trying on a trip through South Bend.

Great desserts and a nice little seating area outside. The staff is friendly, courteous, and will patiently let you try different flavors. Great place to go for dessert after dining elsewhere on Eddy Street Commons. I knocked off a star because they are ridiculouslyyyy expensive! The average South Bend-er probably cannot afford something like this on a regular basis. This place is kept in business by the Notre Dame crowd.

4 and a half stars. Good local ice cream, with good flavors. Nothing too creative but enough flavors to please most. I had the Blueberry Wafflecone and Georgia Peach. The Blueberry was a bit sweet, but the Georgia Peach was perfect. A good fruity combination of big scoops.

They’re pricey but I really loved their Salted Caramel ice cream that we got. The Michiana was also really good but the Salted Caramel was where it’s at. Nice location for a sweet fix. We came here one night before the ND vs. Michigan game. Really cute storefront.
