Corner 103

Wow, Corner 103 blew me away. It’s phenomenal!
The space is absolutely beautiful and intimate; everything was designed with impeccable care, and you won’t find any of the typical wine tchotchkes often found in wineries (i.e., cheesy aprons or tacky wine glass charms). It’s light and airy and the eye for interior design is inspiring.
ALL of the wine is incredible. Most wineries or tasting rooms have a specialty (i.e., zinfandel or chardonnay), but everything Corner 103 was exquisite, from the sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, to pinot noir, zinfandel, red blend, cabernet sauvignon, and more. We were especially pleased that we ended up liking some of the wines we tend to steer away from, such as pinot noir and zinfandel, and ended up even buying bottes of those varietals. I honestly wanted to buy a bottle of every wine we tasted, everything had tremendous depth and full-​body.
The cheese pairing was fantastic. I have been to countless wineries and tastings, and it was incredible to sip a wine with cherry undertones, then sample with cheese and actual cherries — the flavors exploded and it really helped us understand the wine better.
Having someone personally lead the tasting was incredible. At most wineries, customers are jostling at the wine counter competing for the hosts attention, so it’s hard to really learn about the winery and the wines. Our host, Lloyd, explained everything in meticulous detail. He was incredibly patient and took the time to answer our questions knowledgeably.
All in all, and incredible afternoon over Valentine’s Day weekend. I absolutely recommend for a date, girls or guys afternoon out, or a family occasion. At 12 wine pairings, it actually ends up being very convenient (versus trying to hit up 3 – 4 separate wineries for the same number of tastings in an afternoon), and afterwards we walked around Sonoma square and grabbed some apps (and bought some of the cheese we sampled).

Absolutely yes, if you are visiting Napa and Sonoma county, you must start here at Corner 103. Lloyd is extremely gifted and his wine making. You will enjoy the most superb wines at good prices. The base wine tasting is 20. For the extra tasting with either two bite food samples or cheese both paired with Corner 103’s fabulous wine is 40. You need, you must have a starting baseline of superb wines before you venture. My wife was excited and was thoroughly impressed with the high quality of wines at Corner 193. The experience that is provided at Corner 103 is exceptional. Owner and winemaker Lloyd Davis takes the time to educate you on wine and is so informative. All the staff and wine there is absolutely amazing!!!

What an awesome representation of the Sonoma wine scene! I visited Corner 103 as the first of three (wine tasting) stops on the Sonoma square. I made an 11am appointment via Unilocal!for myself and three girlfriends. Brent & Lloyd greeted us as we walked in and we had the place to ourselves! They started our tasting experience with Rosé Sparkling Wine, served in the lounge area. Once we shifted to the tasting table, we were spoiled with an intimate wine education from Brent (which made the wine/​food pairings so enjoyable). We tasted 7 wines in total: Rosé Sparkling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Merlot, Red Blend and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each wine was paired with a small bite that complimented the varietal. We all bought a bottle of the red blend at the end (tasting fee is not waived with purchase). Two hours was just enough time to enjoy the wine, food and conversation. Big thanks to Brent for the kind hospitality and increasing our wine IQ!

As a transplant to the Bay area, I constantly search for new and different activities to impress and delight friends/​family and may have finally found a winner. While Corner 103 is a nice compliment to the ubiquitous Sonoma wine tour experience, it’s actually become a stand-​alone destination for us and our guests (both from SF and afar). The food and wine pairings are not only mind-​blowingly unique but they’re also truly delicious. Finally, the friendliness, comprehensive knowledge and humorous story-​telling of the Corner103 hosts nicely compliments the intimate experience and you, your guests, and your palate will leave completely fulfilled.

Sonoma has needed a place like Corner 103 for awhile! With all of the quick stop/​impersonal wine tasting in the Sonoma/​Napa area you have a hard time really experiencing and enjoying the wine. At Corner 103 I met Lloyd (the manager or owner I think) and Brent. Both were extremely knowledgeable and willing to spend time answering all of our questions about wine, whether it was their wine or wine in general! We sat down to a private tasting of 6 wines, I think. I wasn’t counting, and every one of them was delicious (the red blend in particular). But what impressed me the most was the simple yet extremely balanced food pairing that came with the tasting. Each sip of wine evolved with each paired bite. The tasting was very well done. Highly recommended! I left as a wine member and I’m very much looking forward to my next shipment!

I can’t say enough great things about Lloyd & Corner 103. He did such an awesome job explaining the wines & glasses without overwhelming us with info. The ambiance is great & the wines are delicious. When we came in they were about to close, but Lloyd stayed open & made it a great night!

This is the best wine tasting experience ever. Wish we were closer but this should be rated as the number 1 wine tasting experience of Sonoma. Matt totally made the experience amazing. We were guests at the fairmont Sonoma and the concierge recommended this place to us. This is not your usual tasting. We tasted over 8 wines with food pairings and along each tasting Matt guided us through the wine, the food pairing and with some funny stories. He really make it a memorable afternoon and it didn’t seem like we were there for almost two hours. I highly recommend taking the time to come here. If you aren’t a wine person you will love it and if your really into wine you will def love it. Come here and buy a few bottles. Don’t be shy and come with an empty stomach, eager mind and prepared to be wow’d!

My husband and I visited Corner 103 a couple weeks ago on our day trip to Sonoma. We both agreed that this was the best and most unique wine tasting experience we’ve had. We had the pleasure of having the owner, Lloyd, as our host. It was so nice to sit down and relax while we tasted, plus to learn about each wine. Corner 103 is so much more intimate than what you experience at most tasting rooms or wineries, which tend to be so crowded it’s sometimes hard to enjoy your time there. We were so impressed by both the wine and the experience that of course we had to become members of their wine society. We can’t help but brag about Corner 103 to all our friends and family. It’s definitely a MUST VISIT if you go to Sonoma.

Corner 103 was the absolute Pinnacle of a five day wine tasting across 10 wineries in celebrating our 25^th Wedding Anniversary. From packaging, to presentation, pairing to taste, Corner 103 far exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Lloyd Davis and Matt Cousins were the most passionate and helpful team we encountered throughout our wine excursions in Napa or Sonoma and we highly recommend the tasting/​pairing experience to anyone traveling to the area. My husband and I were so impressed with our initial experience, we scheduled a second visit with my brides maids and their significant others who joined us for three days to personally experience the best Sonoma had to offer after trekking through a half dozen vineyards/​wineries that paled in comparison. Once again, the Corner 103 team rose to the occasion and obtained two more long term customers. Each couple purchased their favorite wine to share back at the hotel and shipped additional bottles to enjoy with friends and family across Southern California and Texas.
Again, the entire experience is like no other tour/​tasting/​visit in Sonoma or Napa. Take an hour or so to personally experience the Corner 103 pairing/​tasting during your visit. You will not be disappointed.

Corner 103 is a welcome addition to the Sonoma Plaza. Classy, friendly, welcoming and has made the West Napa Street Corner bustling! As a Plaza merchant we welcome them as our neighbor and we confidently send guest to Corner 103 as we know Lloyd and his staff will greet the guest kindly and offer them an educational wine tasting, right here on the Sonoma Plaza. If you live in Sonoma, take a moment and stop in and if you are visiting Sonoma Valley, please take the time to stop in, taste and enjoy the wine and food pairing. This is a cool place that isn’t a belly up to the bar style tasting room. Instead, it focuses on food and wine pairing tastings. It’s great

The service here was beyond amazing on our trip to Sonoma! My husband and I did a double date with our friends here on our fourth stop on our wine tasting tour (should have been our only one haha) we made same day reservations and they had room for us! Walked in, we were greeted, super friendly! Got seated in 5 mins to an array of different wines! Such great presentation of their names on what wine is what, Matt was our host/​guide and was truly amazing! Explained everything on the pairings of food with what wines, what flavors we should be tasting, etc. It made us members on the spot! We will need to revisit this place whenever we come back! Thanks again for such an amazing tasting!

We had a wonderful experience at Corner 103! Loved the location, comfortable ambiance, and friendliness of the staff. Not to mention the amazing wines available! A must visit for anyone traveling in Sonoma!

We had an outstanding time with Lloyd abd his crew at Corner103. The venue is elegant, warm and inviting as are Lloyd and staff. Wounderful food pairing s with superb wines. Lloyd Davis & Team 103 have really out done themselves! My husband and I followed Mr. Davis from a prior venture and we just can’t wait to see where it leads us. (I’m aiming for the cruise LOL) The location, the ambiance, the décor, the wine rack, the pairings, THE WINES! A+++
We came on a Saturday & picked up 5 bottles. Was back that Monday and picked up 4 more. From the bottles to the labels to the wine, we love but hate to share it.
The tastings… perfectly paired with the food they served alongside. All while receiving a personal education on each. From the grape selections to the wine maker. We enjoyed every minute. Definitely will be back and bringing friends!
