Amazing tasting room with stylish décor, art exposition and of course great wine! For just $ 10(refundable with purchase) you can taste 4 great wines and hear their story directly from the owner of winery. I really like here all wines with Zinfandel being the highlight. Highly recommended!

It is just the loveliest place. So inviting, gorgeous, comfortable. The cab & the zin… Wow. The owners and tasting room hosts are the kindest people on earth. It will be my first tasting stop in Sonoma. Really cool art, gifts, pottery, too. Would give 10 stars if I could. Mad love for Bump!

First trip to Sonoma. During our honeymoon. Great guy who served us(so sorry we forgot your name!) But he was from just outside of Buffalo(we are from Syracuse). Either way he was wonderful! Lovely and super cool place! Highly recommend!

Phenomenal wine tasting to start the weekend. The Cab/Zin blend really impressed me. More than anything, I was pleased with the owner Mieko, who took her time explaining all of the characteristics of each libation. Beautiful place with amazing art every where. A must stop while visiting Sonoma.

Wonderful Tasting Experience! This was our first stop on our wine tasting saunter around Sonoma. We were the only gaggle of gals in the space at first and Mieko was warm, welcoming and just lovely in general. She invited us to settle into a cozy couch area and she would come to us. We were spoiled by Mieko who kept the wine and the wealth of information about her and her husband’s labor of love flowing. As the space filled up with several other groups, we were left to chat and enjoy the beautiful space and cool and very dramatic art on the walls. But we were never forgotten despite the fact that our hostess was the only person working the tastings and there were 20+ people in the space! The wine was quite lovely, our favorite was the sauv blanc and we bought a bottle to enjoy later. Tastings were $ 10 which was a steal compared to some other wineries, and the experience was even more memorable! Would definitely return!

Thanks to Unilocal we picked Bump Wine Cellars to visit last weekend after dropping off our son at Sonoma State University. Geordie was great, providing interesting information about his experience and approach to wine making and of course it’s always great when the winemaker /owner pours for you :-) I can’t praise the wines enough either. My wife and I ended up purchasing 3 bottles but could have easily purchased 5, that is, of the 6 we tasted, 5 were worth purchasing. We’ll definitely be back to Bump Wine Cellars the next time we’re in Sonoma.

We stayed at a b & b just outside of the square and visited 4 tasting rooms around the square and 2 vineyards while in Sonoma. We followed Unilocalers advice concerning which places to go(apart from a vineyard some locals told us about). Bump was our favorite from around the square with wine at about ½ to 2⁄3 the cost of the vineyard we enjoyed. The Bump owners are incredibly sweet and fun to chat with during the tasting as well. We left with several bottles that have been praised by all who tried it. If you only have time for 1 or 2 spots around the square, this place should be top of the list.

Very pleasant environment to sit and taste wine: on a couch versus a bar. Great wines. Knowledgeable proprietor.

This a great little winery with delicious wine, interesting art on the wall that is made by local artists, and a wonderfully kind owner who had a great conversation with my friends and I during our visit. I would definitely recommend going for a wine tasting at Bump!

We had a wonderful time at Westwood! Anthony was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and gave us great suggestions for other wineries. Definitely will be back!

Geordie owns the place with his wife and it’s honestly one of the relaxing and welcoming cellars in Sonoma. They have local artists featured every month and I’m surprised not more wine cellars don’t do this. Art and wine just seem to blend perfectly together. When my boyfriend and I visited Bump, we just happened to stumble upon it based on where we parked. Geordie was the only person in there and gave us nothing less than a 5-star attentiveness, he explained his lifestory and was just a real and humble guy. A family man who works hard to provide for his family with his passion. Their selection is limited but they are a pretty new company so they’re still expanding and experimenting on their wines. Their wines are decent, but have the potential and attitude to be great over time. Definitely coming back when I’m in the area to see what art and wine they have featured next.

Absolutely love this place! This is my second time here and the owners are very nice and personable. We came close to closing time and he was able to a accommodate us. Also, he remember the last time I was there since I came during an art gallery showing a year ago. This place host and sells local artist works. They also have comfortable seating and very spacious. I would 100% recommend and they close late at 6pm. Perfect place to wine down after a long day.

Awesome, intimate tasting experience in Downtown Sonoma. There were only two bottles open for tasting, but I’m glad we stopped here. The winemaker/owner poured for us. He was extremely nice and knowledgable, not pushy or overbearing at all. We really enjoyed hearing his insights and learning more about the operation. Both wines we tried were delicious. I’d love to go back once they have more additions to their tasting menu!

Really great tasting room in Downtown Sonoma — $ 10 tasting and the winemaker himself was there. It was great getting to chat with him and learn more about his business. Always good to put a face with the wine and hear about it direct from the source! Loved the reds in the tasting — they were really flavorful and good!

What an experience! I took a friend from out of town, and they treated us like GOLD. They sat us on the couch, gave us generous pours and chatted with us. We spent 1 hour on our 4 pours, and then we purchased some wine(I recommend their special white who’s name is escaping me now). Anyway I will return.

You don’t know Bump yet, but you’ll feel in the know after you come here. There aren’t a bazillion wines to taste — four to five — but that’s really all you need because they are all very well done. A Sauvignon Blanc; their«Fortune» which is a white blend in a rhone style; and a few beautifully done Zins. Taste these, and get to know the winemaker, Geordie and his wife and you’ll begin to understand what it means to have fantastic boutique wines made from the people who work and live in Sonoma and truly love what they do. Such a great departure from the big names with their caves and pomp and circumstance. The tasting room is beautiful, modern and cozy. But really, the wines shine beyond the tasting room aesthetic and they are at such a reasonable price point you’d be remiss if you didn’t stop by. AND they are right off the square!

Meiko was awesome and remarkably patient with our group who had already hit up a few tasting rooms. Geordie was super helpful in setting a reservation beforehand. Everyone had an amazing time at bump and on top of it, the wines were tasty and reasonably priced! We found a zin we actually liked and the syrah was a big hit. I’ll definitely go back.

After a vino-filled couple of days in Napa, we took the long way back to the airport, stopping in Sonoma and Santa Rosa before heading back to SJC. I was hesitant to take time away from our next stop(the Russian River Brewery – finally some beer on the trip!) but my mother-in-law wanted one last tasting, this time in Sonoma. And you do what your mother-in-law says. So we pulled into downtown Sonoma, and I was frantically looking for a tasting room, stat. I didn’t even have time to check Unilocal(because I was driving — don’t Unilocal and drive!) but we parked and, by chance, walked into the Bump tasting room. What luck! Mieko, the owner, met us and described their wines and process – she and her husband buy grapes from friends and other producers and rent space in a warehouse to complete their small-batch runs. The tastings were amazing(and she could pour glasses). The Chardonnay was not overly buttery or oaked(they age in neutral barrels) and had a delightful rich yet refreshing characteristic. The zin was delicious, as well. Well balanced and not over the top. They have a small distribution, which includes my home state of Utah, so we’ll be buying locally! An extra special plus is how affordable the wines are. 4+year aged reds still under $ 30 a bottle! Mieko was also willing to talk about her beautifully designed tasting room. From the exposed lathe on the wall to the recycled wood bar to the giant paper lantern to the couch with a fabric that anything could be wiped off of, she answered all my mother-in-law’s questions.(Are you sensing a theme here?) It’s a gorgeous place run by excellent people. So take a «Bump» off the beaten track, and stop by their tasting room!
