This place is absolutely phenomenal! Excellent meat quality! They also have great meat for traditional Brazilian dishes (carne seca, linguiça, bacalhau). Owner is also incredibly nice and very helpful! (English is a bit of a challenge — but he’ll get you what you need!)
This is a true gem for this neighborhood! Screw Market Basket and Whole Foods when it comes to meat — this is the place to go.

This is a great, clean butcher shop with friendly staff.
As noted by other reviewers, the butcher is not strong on English, but he IS friendly. I have studied a little Braz Portuguese, and I can tell you a little goes a long way in winning his friendship. If you go in, try saying «bohm jee-​ya» (mornings) or «boa tar-​jay» (afternoon/​early evening). Thank-​you is oh-​bree-​gah-​to (if you are a man) or oh-​bree-​gah-​ta (if you are a woman).
My Portuguese fell short in getting exactly what I wanted, but he was prepared: he called over the pretty cashier, who is fluent in English, and happy to help.
The steak I bought was trimmed BEFORE weighing according to my specifications. It was excellent on the grill. And it wasn’t all that expensive for a nice steak.

I love this place. The meat is fresh, and while there’s often a language barrier between me and the butcher, I always end up with what I need. Do yourself a favor and get yourself the sausage here-it’s all meat and not a lot of fillers, and different varieties (chicken, pork) are $ 3.99 a pound. They have various meats marinating as well that I haven’t tried. I have purchased beef ribs here and they were a fraction of the cost of what they would have been at a regular grocery store and no where as fresh. The butcher always seems to be the same gentleman whenever I go in and he’s always very welcoming and smiling.
The rest of the grocery area is great-it’s really clean and well stocked and the products are well presented. If you like Coca Cola made with real sugar versus corn syrup, they sell it in glass bottles, as well as a large variety of other imported beverages and products. They have a small amount of produce, and it’s all fresh and decent as well.
The counter staff is really friendly as well. I whole heartedly endorse shopping here!

You can find anything from xuxu to calabresa at this place. There is a great selection of meats and a friendly staff. All sorts of farinha and beans, canned goods, Brazilian spices. Prices are very reasonable.

This place is great. Excellent steaks cut to order and their pork ribs are terrific. They have a good selection of Brazilian foods. I especially like the frozen fruits (mango, acerola) for making blender drinks. The butcher and the rest of the crew are very helpful and friendly.
