A great little nook to get a drink and treat and relax from the daily activities. I stopped in here during my morning walk and had a nice cup of coffee and a piece of their homemade loaf bread. It hit the spot. I just wish it was easier to park here but it is a great spot when you are out and about in Solvang and you want to sit back and relax for a few.

Such a cute little spot to pick up some coffee and grab a magazine or book for the road. They have an extensive coffee menu and I can appreciate the variety. The staff is quick and friendly, the shop clean and intimate, and the drinks made strong and hot. On a rainy day there wasn’t much seating available to be able to take in the Solvang morning rain while people watching so we were forced out. Bummer. Oh, well.

Absolutely love this coffee shop! Their soy caramel iced lattes are amazing, along with many other drinks they serve. They also have a lovely front patio area with some tables and chairs that is very nice. The location is extremely convenient as well and is attached to the darling Book Loft. My favorite spot in all of the Santa Ynez Valley to relax, read, and drink some great coffee.

Such a great little local place on Mission Drive. Friendly baristas and good coffee and cocoa. It’s right next to a magical book store — don’t miss out on either one. Great pit stop for us — thanks!!!

They were the only place we found with almond milk (though pricy) and not sure the iced coffee is a cold brew but it was at least not hot and then poured over ice. Really tasty iced coffee and iced vanilla latte. Cute spot and next to a bookstore which is great too. Super cool workers and owners.

Love this place! Great fresh organic coffee and pastries, muffins and bagels were all fresh and great tasting. The staff was polite and quick. Love that it connects to the book store, too.
**Having two smokers smoking right outside the shop was a real disappointment, so we had to sit inside on a beautiful summery morning to avoid inhaling the toxic smoke. Because of this, I gave only 4 stars.

Great tasting coffee. When we are in town we enjoying sitting out on patio and having a cup of Joe. We did come here a few times when it was the Bull Dog.
Nice variety of pastries as well. Connects to the book store.

Coming from a barista myself, I Just had an iced blended spiced chai… Pretty good and fair price. Hopefully I don’t ever have to be back in this area again (because I’m here for a speeding ticket court across the street lol) but if I am ever back I will definitely be back. The gentleman & the lady working were pretty nice & quite which in my opinion is good service considering that it’s a quite book store as well.

Decent coffee, cute spot with lots of potential — but horrible WiFi — has always been the case, and yet no matter how many times it’s changed ownership, no one seems to care about this one important detail. I would come here all the time of it had decent wifi — but alas it does not ;(

Stopped off this morning for a cup of joe with my hubby. Enjoyed a latte and some pumpkin bread (October yummy-​ness). Baristas were super friendly and my latte was great!

Santa Ynez, CA
I have been coming to this location for years. This was formerly the Bull Dog Café. I still get the best coffee and service here than anywhere else in Solvang — or the Santa Ynez valley for that matter. It has a beautiful courtyard in front and is attached to the Book Loft book store which makes a nice combination.
Coffee is kept fresh and I order Americanos to guarantee that. A private parking lot in the rear makes it very convenient.
The staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Super friendly staff. I assume they’re left over from when this was Bill Dog coffee. They know their lattes and even though they look young, they’re NEVER on their phones.
