I ordered a cake from here without ever having been to this bakery because I saw the reviews and pictures of cakes on their website and decided to go for it. It was a custom cake, designed by me, that had details that were instrumental in how I wanted the cake to look. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do, but they NAILEDIT! Not only did it look great, but it tasted amazing as well. Everyone was super impressed by how cool this cake looked and tasted! I would highly recommend ordering your cake from Solvang Bakery. Thank you so much, you guys rock!

Attention to detail and taste! I ordered custom shortbread butter cookies for my son’s graduation and they are awesome! I really appreciate the clarity of the edible photo(school’s logo), and their attention to details so that they match my son’s school colors. Each is individually wrapped with the school’s colors. Thank you —- great job!(and thank you Jeannette for all of your help).

I happened in rather late on a Friday night, they were just getting ready to close but I was able to get an éclair and a cream puff. The éclair was amazing! The cream puff good but messy. The two workers were not that friendly or receptive when I was there and that kind of was a downer.

It was ok. I started my Owl Eye bonanza here. An owl eye is a shortbread cookie about the size of a silver dollar, topped with piped marzipan and has a hollow spot in the marzipan filled with raspberry or strawberry. It was a very light cookie without much crunch, and the marzipan was light tasting as well. The jelly filling was a bit gelatinous, but had good flavor and discernible seeds, which I prefer. Also purchased a raspberry Linzer torte which was delicious and my wife got an éclair filled with whipped pastry cream. Ambiance/Cleanliness-Clean, but sort of unwelcoming and we left quickly after my wife ate her pastry. 3 stars Service-nobody asked us if we wanted anything else after we paid and ate our pastry. When leaving, I had to thank them and wish them a nice day in order to get a response in kind. Service was barely adequate-2 stars Food– it was good, not great. Would not go back. 3 stars.

Your typical tourist-oriented bakery with lots of sweets. Prices are a little higher accordingly. I am not a big fan of fudge but they were pretty tasty.

Ending our trifecta of Danish bakery tour, we scored big with Solvang Bakery. Tub of butter cookies, almond horseshoe things, sea shell things, macarons & to be a little savory and to pair with the yummy cheese we had purchased, we grabbed a load of their onion cheese bread The butter cookies are a must-indulge & I highly recommend getting 1 from all 3 bakeries(Solvang, Olsen’s & Birkholm) They’re each a little different & Solvang’s offered cinammony cookies as well as «standard» butter. The 3rd layer of the tub had some oatmeal-raisin My favorites were the cinnamon Mr said the horseshoe had a nice marzipan center — I didn’t much care for the choc-dipped seashell. The vanilla icing middle was too sugary-sweet for my taste but I really liked the cookies The macarons — wow! Solvang can make a macaron! The small cookies were tender & had a very nice ratio of filling to cookie & these would be repeats for sure! The onion cheese bread paired very well w/our cheeses & lasted for about a week — always staying doughy & fresh & this is a high compliment from us

I only had the macaroons which were delightful and would’ve like to have tried other treats as there were so many that looked good. Staff was ok, was trying to ask what they were known for but they didn’t really give me an answer. Cute exterior and sitting area, like a little doll house.

So delicious! Cute little bakery with a great selection of cakes and pastries. The butter cookies are good(of course), but definitely try the almond butter rings and eclairs — they are amazing! Lots of good bakeries in Solvang, but this one stands out.

I ordered cappuccino and i taste only milk foam. I enjoy somewhat strong coffee. So I didn’t care for their coffee. Eventually, I threw out one the way. Cookies were ok

Danish butter cookies, delicious! 10% discount with Unilocal check in?! SCORE! Got myself 3 bucket of cookies and saved myself a whooping $ 4. I think their cookie taste similar to the other local bakeries. its definitely an upgrade if you love Royal Dansk.

I was hoping to find a dessert place but no luck. At least a «Pinja» Kind of Dessert. This place was busy. They have cookies, pastries, cakes, and bread etc. By the cashier they had samples of their favorite items. I guess they are known for their butter cookies, they have different flavors. :Dessert: The Almond Butter Ring is one of their popular items. I liked it at first but when I kept eating, the frosting started to taste too sweet for me. Then I tried the Almond Butter Cookie which was small and just«ok». I’ve tasted better but then again I’m not a cookie butter expert. The yum for me would be the Custard Danish. The sweetness was perfect and the bread was good; I would get this again. If you are taking these pastries to go, heat it up; I think it taste better. Oh! I sampled the Jalapeño Onion Cheese Bread, it was pretty good. The bread was soft and I could taste the jalapeño flavor. ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) :Customer Service: A little friendly when it was busy and more friendly when it wasn’t busy. :Tip: Finding parking can be difficult :M’s Notes: ~Inside seating ~Street Parking

I used to go to Solvang a few times a year when I lived in Los Angeles and I would always have a few Rum balls and a Danish pastry or two. Now that I have lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years, this outing was the first time in decades for me and the first ever for my husband. First stop was looking for a rum ball. Yes, what can I say the rum balls in Vegas are not the rum balls I remembered from Solvang. This bakery is cute inside with a lot of pastries to offer. Of course I asked for a rum ball and the price for the rum ball was very inexpensive. And the taste OMG yum. The size was bigger then I remembered too. The pastries were great but I needed my rum ball and got it

Danish pastry tour stop number 5! 10% off your order with Unilocal check in! This is a small little bakery. Peanut Butter Brownie — $ 3.50 — Huge brownie bottom but topped with peanut butter cream and chopped up peanut butter cups. Yum!!! Almond Macaroon — $ 2.50 — The almond filling was nutty and sweet. The chopped almonds and chocolate dip add a nice texture. Loved the tart shell!

Delicious Danish. Very friendly, full of smiles, generous hospitality. Not to mention the place is clean, colorful, cozy and European feeling. Tried both bakeries near each other and definitely favor this one.

Cute bakery that really has lots to choose from with a bit more charm than any of the many other local bakeries. My sweetie and I came here on a rainy Saturday and they were still pretty busy. The counter staff are friendly, but they seem understaffed. This bakery stays open the latest and the size of their pastries seemed bigger(and pricier) than the others we went into, however the selection was much larger. I purchased a slice of rainbow cake – the girls working the counter didn’t sound impressed with it as they told me it was just«white cake with a lot of food coloring and vanilla buttercream» but it was actually very tasty and held up through a five hour drive home! Not too sweet, light, buttercream was rich. A really good piece of cake. Beautifully baked and assembled(six layers all in different colors). I also ended up buying one of their coffee mugs and that came with a free cup of their drip coffee which was surprisingly good. Boyfriend got a donut and cheese spread. I also bought a cookie cutter for at home baking pursuits. All in all, mug was $ 8.99 w free coffee, $ 5.95 cake slice that was tasty and fresh, $ 4.95 cookie cutter. Cute shop, tasty goodies and lots of fun stuff to look at. Only downside are the rude tourists who pushed and bumped into me the two separate times I came in, an hour apart. I will be back and look forward to trying the cinnamon bread!

If you are in Solvang, you know you’ve got to visit a Danish bakery store! Unfortunately, most of Danish bakery stores were closing early in the Christmas Eve(like before 1~2PM) and this was the only one still open after 2PM. Nice and cozy bakery shop with couple tables and chairs to sit and enjoy bakery goods. Free Wi-Fi available(pretty important considering there’s no Starbucks in the City of Solvang). Solvang Bakery also offers self-serve coffee in addition to their butter cookies, eclairs, and other Danish pastries. Cream puff($ 5): It was one HUGE cream puff with layers of whipped cream. Excellent dough, but too much whipped cream. I still like Beard Papa’s cream puff a bit better.(3.5÷5) Not too bad, just not sure if it was a great value.

The store is so cute! Outside and inside. Items they have are pricy though. I bought kringle and I have had better one. It was $ 5 a slice!

Out of all the bakeries I walked into in Solvang, this was by far the cutest one. It’s also located right next to the windmills, so that you get the picture perfect spot when you walk out with their delicious pastries. I tried their raspberry Danish, and it was definitely a step up from the oily, dense danishes that are always laying around the office. I didn’t get to try too many different pastries since we had a big eating agenda, but I’d definitely come back here next time I’m in the area.

Every now & then I’d head down to SoCal with excitement coz I know I’m going to make a stop here. Danish pastries galore! Quite pricey but it’s not so bad when you only visit 2x a year or so. I’m serious any pastry, bread or cookie you get here is sooo delicious! Fills up your craving for sweets. The store is small, owned by a local baker and they bake pastries fresh every morning and as you arrive at 7 am you’ll see these freshly baked goodies being delivered to the shop. Great place for breakfast & coffee. They also custom make cakes for all occasions, gingerbread houses that look like castles, gift boxes; you can choose from candies, desserts, pies, breads, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookie houses, cupcakes, decorating treats, aprons(not edible), French macarons, tarts, and the marzipan filled pastries. Yumm!!! Yes I can hear you saying that too! If you haven’t been here, no need to be present coz you can order goodies online. . There are other bakeries nearby you can choose from but I somehow am magnetized by this cute little store because it reminds me of my early years as a little girl loving those fairy tale books. The interior & exterior reminds me of that.
