I really like this place, walking distance from the NRC Soloman’s. Their food and drinks are reasonably priced and enjoy our time we’ve spent there. Their tuna is great, and the bartenders are great and patient.

Haven’t been here since they were captains table restaurant. … food was good just busy that night so it took a little while to get our food. Other than that decent place on the water

Although, disappointed when visiting the Angler after it first opened I decided to give it another try and was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal with friendly, effecient service. Once in a while you just gotta eat some fried seafood !! We started off with the mini hot dog pretzels(I know not upscale but I like hot dogs, it’s a childhood memory thing). They were delicious as we’re my husband’s fried shrimp! The shrimp were large and breaded in a interesting and different mixture of herbs, cracker meal and flour. My fried oysters were nice size and fried to a holden brown. I have visitors on several occasions since and we have sampled the soft shell crabs, crab cakes and the bacon scallops all of which received 2 thumbs up. The view of the water plus the warm welcome guests receive all add up to one enjoyable dining experience.

This place has the best seared Ahi tuna wrap ever! Very generous portion, very fresh, and the cucumber wasabi dressing/sauce is incredible. I have to get one a week. Not a huge fan of the new cream of crab soup, unfortunately. It was my favorite, back when Anglers was Captains Table, but now it is a little too sour. The wait staff is very friendly, and the outdoor seating overlooks the marina. Gorgeous! I will definitely be coming back over and over.

Nice place, beautiful view, friendly waitress, good food, decent prices. I had the fried soft crab… a little dry but there were 2 for the price, which was nice. Yummy hush puppies, cream of crab was delicious, mozzarella sticks & chick parm sandwich were tasty too.

This place makes for a decent dining experience in southern maryland. The crab mac and cheese needs way more cheese! I think the chef failed to make a proper roux before baking this dish. The crabmeat is tossed on top with some bread crumbs, it is not mixed in! However, there is a healthy serving of crab and the overall flavor is nice. My mother enjoyed the soft shell crab sandwich and has had it before. The sidewinder fries are also not bad and have a good coating in old bay. I was also surprised to see that their draft beers including goose island! Overall not great but not bad and I would be willing to try some more options.

Worst ever! Have eaten there dozens of times but yesterday was terrible! New Years Eve I had about the best prime rib ever and yesterday the worst. After all the rare(ordered medium) plus marbleing and grissle my 16oz prime rib might have been 8 oz. I don’t believe they could have found a worse cut. House salad, hold the cucumbers and it had many, the crab dip which we normally love they forgot to put crab in it. Menu has changed at least 3 time since becoming the ANGLER. Wife wanted something light so got a BLT, another mistake(how I don’t know). Burnt wheat toast and 1 sliver of the worst tomatoe, the end everyone cuts off where the vein enters(black and crusty) and 1⁄3 of a sliver for the other half sandwich. I figured I got at most 5 decent bites of prime rib, cheesy, soupy crabless dip and my wife ate her prepackaged salad and not 1 bite of the sandwich. Had to complain and bartender/waitress discounted some of the bill. I forgot the iced tea was good, but noticed none of the marina residends were present that is usually not a good sign when they eat elsewhere ! First stop was the McDonalds up the street, didn’t want to drive on empty stomach. They have gotten worse instead of better since opening and overpriced at that !

After a turn here and turn there came across the place for our VD lunch. There were only a few people eating, which might had to do with the bitter cold weather or that everyone going out for dinner for VD. I am going with both. Sat in the dinning room at a table by the window, so we could look out on the water while eating. Our sever was right over for our drink order and with menus. Went with broiled rockfish sandwich, which was tasty. The server was good and friendly. I am sure in the summer the place is packed, since it is next to several marinas and a hotel. Had a nice bar area and outside deck with seating.

Hidden treasure. The crab dip is on point! I had the crab cake club which was amazing. A very well executed combination of delicious crab cake topped with bacon on wheat. My son tore up the chicken tenders but not before I managed to sneak a bite of. My wife got the grilled ham and cheese, which was equally tasty. finally, the curly potato wedges served on the side were interesting and yummy. Why haven’t I been here before?

Had breakfast at Anglers. This place is nothing fancy and not a ton of choices on the breakfast menu. I had 2 eggs with home fries and toast. KInd of hard to mess up scrambled eggs, so it was ok for what it was. The home fries were good. Not sure what the spice on the potatoes was, but it kind of tasted like poultry seasoning. My husband had the omelette with veggies, sausage and cheddar cheese. He thought his was good. The servers were friendly. No frills place and reasonably priced.

Very slow and inaccurate order response from the kitchen. Servers on the ball but the kitchen can’t get food out in a timely manner. Poor response when it was brought to the attention of the management staff. Avoid.

We visited previously when this was The Captain’s Table. We were seated very quickly and our waitresses throughout the weekend were very good. Very slow getting food out, but the food was great! This morning’s breakfast was very slow coming out and one of our orders was incorrect. I would visit again because I’ve experienced good service before. It is a very nice location and extremely calming on the marina.

The food was not very good. My crab dip was over-broiled and the worst I’ve ever had. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Really wishing The Captains Table was still there. Doubtful we’ll be back.

We enjoyed everything! The server was good nothing special but she blamed the kitchen when my hubby’s wings came out with sauce! He asked for them naked! We know she forgot to the cooks! Cause why would she bring them to table! But she took them back and they redid the wings! But other then that all food was Delish! The Rock Fish Bites were fried to perfection! The Crab cake Club was a beautiful site! 6 slices of Bacon! I gave my Dad 3 slices! He got just the crab cake sand. And OMG the French Fries are the best I have ever eaten! They are different but soooo good!! they are a must have if you eat there! The Cole Slaw needs some help its not sweet no flavor! But the MD. Crab Soup was really good! For that place just opening A week they are on the Ball!!! We will for sure be back! Also thought the prices were very good! The new deco is very nice! Can’t wait to go back next time want to sit outside! We always sat outside when it was captains table except Winter time! Keep up the Good Food and we will see you all soon!!!
