If you get a chance to go to Solitude don’t pass up Stonehaus Pizza. I am surprised by a previous review that was negative, because I have been here multiple times and only had great service & great pizza winter or summer.

New management trying to upgrade service and this is greatly appreciated.

I got three pizzas from them this month. All three times they were ready in 15 minutes or less. Great crust and good toppings. High-quality cheese. I know they make their own dough since I watched them one morning mixing it by hand. The Stonhaus pizza is my favorite. Chef suggested cutting the kids pizza in small slices which was a hit.

I live at Solitude a couple of months a year and have gotten very familiar with the Stone Haus and their staff. Their pizza is as good as it gets in the Salt Lake area. It’s really good. Thinner crust and a good cheese mix along with some pretty nice alternative of recipes. Their meatball sub and chicken salad are really good as well. The workers there are probably not what you would consider«super professional» but I always find them very friendly and nice to talk to.

Imagine playing disc golf down Solitude on a hot day, taking around 2 – 3 hours and getting your fitbit from 0 to 10,000 steps. You get to hole 18 and see the menu for Stone Hause, think that pizza sounds good, and decide to go for it because you’re absolutely starving. You get there, a group or two are already sitting down and waiting for their food, so you order. Then you wait… and wait… and wait… at least over 30 minutes for your 2 sandwiches. Once those finally come out you wait another 20 or so minutes for a pizza. By the time the pizza was out the sandwiches were long gone. I asked the guy to put our pizza in a to go box since we were all ready to leave before the pizza was even close to done. The pizza came out and we left to go eat in the car on the way down. Of course they were out of lids for their drinks, so now we’re eating pizza in a car with no lids on our drinks. The pizza crust was burnt, which made sense after how long it was in the oven. It had potential, but how in the world does a thin crust take 40+ minutes to make? As far as the toppings, we went with pepperoni and olives. The cheese and pepperoni were okay, the olives were the Greek overly salty kind. Not the kind I prefer on a pizza, but I made due. Grease was also a topping, but not one that we had ordered. I haven’t seen those kind of grease levels in years, and it dripped through my napkin and into my no lid drink more than once. I was starving when we got there, so I ate it up. I didn’t like it much, but I was too hungry to be picky. A few small changes and it could be fine. They charge reasonable prices, especially for being at a resort. Sandwiches were less than $ 10 and a 16 inch pizza was around $ 18. Unfortunately I think the problems are in the management and employees. Neither employee seemed particularly thrilled to be there and seemed to be pretty frustrated towards some of the customers. When I asked about lids they weren’t the friendliest. I also saw one of them making some sandwiches without gloves on… so take that for what it’s worth to you. After they gave me our pizza I turned around and he said something like, «Your sandwiches will be ready soon»…I can only assume that he was talking to me because I was the only person in the general area that would have heard him… but we had already had our sandwiches around 20 minutes ago… so we left. The worst part is that I really liked playing disc golf at Solitude and the temptation to call in an order from hole 18 is too great. I’ll give them another chance sometimes soon, but I won’t be happy about it.

Randomly stopped and grabbed a pizza while up at Solitude and was BLOWNAWAY at how tasty it was! All 4 of us were very very impressed. We got a half pepperoni/half veggie pizza with pesto on the whole thing. Wow, was one of the better pizzas I have had. Great crust and not too much bread either. Just right. We will definitely be back.

There’s a reason this placed has low reviews. It took 45 minutes for them to make a 10 inch pizza and a meat ball sub with no one in front of us. Then they burned the sub and we had to wait another 20 minutes … and the meatballs were cold when we finally got the sandwich. No apology, no compensation. Don’t eat here. Food is so so and service was awful.

They didn’t seem to be well stocked with basic pizza toppings and the pricing was high, which I guess is to be expected in the resort. I do not like sweet tomato sauce which is what was used on the pizza and the crust is too doughy for me.

This is a quiet little pizza place snuck cozily amongst the snowy slopes of Park City’s ski resorts. There aren’t many restaurants in this area. And most of the ones are extremely pricey diner-like places. If you are travelling with a bunch of friends, like I was and get hungry after a wonderful session of skiing, I suggest you check out this place. The pizza is fresh, delicious and relatively cheaper than the other nearby places.
