Applebee’s

The one nice thing about a visit to this Applebee’s is it makes you appreciate how Chili’s is so much more of a superior chain restaurant. First, Chili’s has a $ 3.29 «bottomless» chips & salsa appetizer. The chips are always freshly made and the salsa is delicious. Eat all you want & they bring you more. The $ 3.99 chips & salsa here were the worst I’ve ever had. The chips were stale & the salsa was in a small condiment cup. Yeah, I’m going to eat 50 – 75 chips with salsa that comes in a cup they usually serve you butter in. The salsa itself wasn’t bad. It just lasted about 10 – 15 chips. The remaining chips weren’t edible without salsa to hide their staleness.
Everything on the menu here is more expensive than Chili’s too for comparable items. It’s easy to average $ 15 – 20 per person here for sub-​par food. Face it, if you can’t cook a steak correctly on a grill, you shouldn’t be cooking in a restaurant. I ordered the 6oz sirloin well done. It came to the table with pink in the middle. To our server’s credit, she said to cut into it and make sure it was cooked correctly. It makes you think this happens quite often. I did, it wasn’t, so it went back. More than half of it was inedible because of fat & gristle. Sorry for the graphic grossness, but I spit several pieces of it into my napkin. Not good. A Google search shows that this is a chain-​wide problem. I also decided to try the «barbeque spiced» fries. They are nothing but regular fries with a tiny amount of seasoning sprinkled on them like the kind they have at Steak & Shake.
I should also mention that it took at least 15 – 20 min to get our chips & salsa app. Really? it’s not like you have to cook any of it, you know? As for the entrees, it was another 20 min until they found their way to the table. They had a few tables occupied, but it wasn’t like there was a waiting list or anything. It was just slow service. And finally, the menu is a mess! It’s actually 3 or 4 menus they give you as 1 and they keep falling out. If you get the 2 for $ 20 or 2 for $ 25, you have to flip back about 5 pages to even find the sides to order with your entrée. It’s seriously the most screwed up menu I’ve ever seen. Someone should be fired.
I like 3 things when I leave a restaurant. I want to feel full. I want to feel like I got my money’s worth. And I also expect error-​less food orders and above average service. This Applebee’s FAILED on all of the above. We won’t return here. Our local Chili’s is far superior.

Today was our first visit to Applebee’s in quite a while. We always enjoyed their food, drinks, overall atmosphere and generally their service was pretty good unless it was slam busy. Unfortunately, as a result of today’s experience we are DONE with this chain.
Issue #1; My wife ordered a Corona light and was told that they didn’t have Corona Light, so she ordered a Bud Light (yuck). A few minutes later we see someone at the bar being served a Corona Light.
Issue #2; I ordered a burger, well done. Most restaurants are able to make a well done burger that is still juicy and flavorful. The burger that I got at this Applebee’s was burned to a crisp (so was the bun), tasteless and completely dried out.
Issue #3; My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Quite simply — it had ZERO flavor. When I asked her how her soup was she described it as «a tasteless bowl of goop that has no flavor, not soup at all».
Issue #4; The loud blaring ghetto music is not really conducive to a nice dining experience.
Add the overcooked, tasteless food, the lack of knowledge on the part of the servers and the overall atmosphere of this Applebee’s and you get a place to AVOID.

Don’t waste your money. We haven’t been here in several years, so we were very surprised to find how much this location has declined. The food had a very strong chemical aftertaste– both the chicken and the steak. Nothing was seasoned, and the fries were cold and hard. Service was slow and unknowledgeable, and a server at another table was visibly flustered while trying to tally up her checks– there was lots of huffing and groaning. A really unpleasant atmosphere all around. We each took approximately two bites of our food, and when our server came to take it away she didn’t comment on that at all.

Zero customer service very rude !!! We went there yesterday, we were told 5 min wait time to be seated, they were seating people who came in after us and the people the hosts knew (and being very prejudice), they had a number of tables available and not being occupied, after waiting for 45 min we asked how come we were not being seated the hosts who were seating said we came in after all the other people they had seated and started laughing at us, after that happened all the others customers started asking questions as to what the wait time was, as they were told 5 min as well, the host gets angry and said the kitchen asked that they stop setting customers anymore, As they were backed up and would take another 45 min wait time, They are a joke!!!. Will never go back there, people please avoid going there and giving your hard earned money to them, they don’t need the business. There are plenty of others mom and pop restaurants in the area who would appreciate your business.

This Applebee’s is always very under staffed. There is never a time where we have come here where dishes are dirty or they simply run out of plates. Tonight coming right out the kitchen you have trash on the floor. All the staff are just walking right over the trash at the door (see pics) As a person eating at the bar that isn’t something you want to see coming out of the kitchen your food just came from. The bar is full of dirty cups. The bartender is very slow and she has no help! Where is management at???

We have visited here several times and never had a positive experience. We kept trying in hopes that they would get their act together and make it happen… Nope.
I posted two pictures. One was supposed to be what my food should have looked like and one was what my food looked like. Nothing similar at all. So disappointed.
When we walked in we were greeted right away. We requested a table instead of a booth. As we were walking through the restaurant she took us to a booth. We said again that we would like a table. She then told us we had to wait. There were no less than 15 open tables. I dont understand.
Our server took our drink order and brought our drinks almost right away. We were never brought and napkins or utensils.
I ordered french onion soup as an appetizer. I asked for it to be cooked well done with the cheese being very dark on top. It was brought out and the cheese was barely melted. We still didnt have utensils and had to go to the bar to get them.
Of course I sent my soup back… The server asked me if it was cooked enough, I said NO that is why I am sending it back. He kind of gave me this dumb look. I asked him if he had ordered it the way I did would he accept this and his reply was … «It looks good to me»
It was finally brought back to me and it was cooked correctly.

The server was just … slack. They were playing Rap music really loud and the volume was on from the TVs. Very loud.
I promise you we will not be back.

Every single time we have ate at this location it takes someone 20 minutes to come to our table and the food is horrible! Like others said save your money and don’t go to this location. I will NEVER go back to this location again.

Waited for almost 30 min. watching employees playing around. NEVER did a server come to take our order; much less ask what we wanted to drink. After waiting almost 30 min. I went to the bar to get something to drink… that is when an employee asked if I have been helped. I said no and asked for the manager. Still waited at bar without a bartender for about 5 min. when the manager showed up.
Told mgr. I could not get any damn service. Mgr. accused me of cussing at him, and accused me of yelling… I did neither. Was told to leave… I did.
Called Applebee’s corporate office, and reported this. Was told I would hear back within a week. Was never contacted. Called corporate back after a week and a half. Was told that the store reported to them that they have contacted me… A outright lie!
Waiting to hear back from Applebee’s again. Is this a business you want to patronize?

Dinner and service were great. Very clean restaurant and we were made to feel very welcome.

I’m not a fan of Applebee’s but I love their lunch menu! The Grilled Chicken Salad, 4 Cheese Mac & Cheese & Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders are grreaatt! I returned here 2 days in a row and asked for Teri. She’s a great server! Ask for her if you go!

The service was good and the food tasted alright, but the chicken was firm as if it was cooked to fast.

Worst food I’ve ever had in my entire life. Save your money and don’t come here. The steak and burger was way overcooked. The sides tasted like they had been sitting out the entire day and then microwaved. Just awful!

We sat at a table for 20 minutes before anybody even acknowledged us. After ordering our drinks our waiter came back and told us the drink machine was down but he could still get a sweet tea. 15 minutes later we still hadn’t seen them and ended up getting up and leaving. While we were sitting there waiting we saw half of the waitstaff singing and dancing along to the music that was playing making music videos using their phones. It is in fortunate that this is the only Applebee’s in the area because we really do love it but we will not be back at this one.

I’d give them 0 stars if I could. Bartender didn’t know that a margarita is served on ice and not room temp. There was a huge stain on the bar. The manager walked right passed it 4 times while where were there and never did anything about it. The turkey sandwich was a tasteless as it could be. My husbands sandwich came out wrong. The bartender never checked back with us. Dirty, bad service, tasteless food. No reason to ever go back! Skip this place they suck!

This place has gone south. Maybe different management and/​staff. Last two times were my last. Time before last the food tasted like it was leftovers warmed int the microwave. This last time we were seated and 10 minutes later we left after no one showed up.

What happened to this place? Horrible service and food. Ordered a salad and got it DRY, no dressing on it or on the side, pasta was hard and shrimp was rubbery. Sat down and got antagonized by the waitress to order. We get our food and have no silverware, asked multiple coworkers for some silverware, they responded «we will tell your server» took around 10 minutes still. I felt like the server went home and washed her clothes, we rarely saw her. The manager asked «what do you guys want me to do?» He should know.
Also. NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY
Unless you get down eating side salads or paying 12 bucks for a salad with no animal by-​products.

Pretty good food. They never seem to get my steak right… But that’s minor. Warm food, cold drinks, games on the TV and music playing in the background. I enjoy it.

Food was great. With a group, struggled with correct orders and in a timely manner. I would recommend this restaurant for great food. And our server Sherelle M did a superb job. Thanks. John L

The Applebee’s wifi apparently blocks all religion sites. Not cool. I can’t come here on Saturday night to finalize my Sunday school lessons.
