Used to take take out from here often. Agree with others in attitude. Have not, will not retur, since I had a slug in my mei fun about a year ago.

The food at Tin Tsin is greasy, decidedly below average, overpriced, and always served with a mandatory side of bad attitude if you dare to request anything as simple as «sauce on the side.» They are likely only still in business due to the lack of less-awful competition in the immediate vicinity.

I have been known to get take out from here for my parents because it’s the only Chinese place nearby and it’s passable. They have your typical American Chinese food offerings. The broccoli with garlic sauce is okay. The crab rangoons are okay. The spring rolls are okay. The lo mein is okay. There are no tofu dishes. The fried shrimp are small shrimp in a whole lot of greasy batter, so I don’t recommend it. The service is quick and friendly, but the food is mediocre. This is not a place I would go to on my own or recommend to others.

Tried this place twice. Why… Food is super greasy. The first time I had the beef and broccoli. I’ve never seen this come in a pool of oil before ordering here. The second visit I tried the chicken wings. It was so oily the sauce wasn’t even sticking to the wings. Nasty is an understatement. There are MUCH better choices in the area such as Rangoon or Asia Grille.

Two words: food poisoning. Filed a complaint with the state. Two more words: never again.

My husband and I, after moving to Smithfield a few months ago, and after numerous(more than ten) trips here, can safely give this place five stars. The staff is very friendly and courteous, the food is made fresh, and never have they messed up our order. We will be steady customers for life!

Most likely the last visit ! The food has gone down hill consitantly over the last year or so. Egg rolls that are 80% wrapper & pork fried rice with missing pig ! Too little for too much.

Not the worse, but below average. I got fried dumplings and Kung Po Beef. The dumplings were just okay, but the Kung Po Beef was all filler and very little beef. Also, the sauce was thin and not very spicy. I would rather pay a little bit more and get better food. Note: Since I did not pick up the food, I can’t comment on the interior,

Love this place! What can I say, the food is made in woks right in front of you so you know its fresh. There is nothing I crave more than the won ton soup when I have a cold. Its the cure all for colds! Prices are very cheap also. Definitely a regular spot of mine.

I don’t get all of the bad reviews about this place. I live close and go all of the time and none of the food is pre-made. You put your order in and they make it right in front of you. I have never had a bad meal here and if you read any of my other reviews I wouldn’t hold back, especially about Chinese food. Tip: This is a take out place so don’t expect to sit down, but they do have a couple of tables if your in a pinch. Tip 2: Grab a take out lunch here, the prices are cheap and the food is very fresh. I always order the spicy broccoli lunch which comes with rice and an egg roll. The egg rolls are always fried to order so they are never soggy. They also have great wonton soup if you have a cold. Give this place a try and write a review, they could use some good pub. Thanks

Ok Chinese food for takeout Pretty much your average strip mall Chinese food, a bit on the greasy side but more than edible. Lo main is pretty good as are the egg rolls, boneless spare ribs not bad either. Not any place I would rush to go to again anytime soon, but if I happened to be in the area with a craving for Chinese, I may consider it

I recently moved into the area. I don’t mind looking for Chinese restaurants. But once you find a good one you don’t want to lose it. Tin Tsin is that place. So far, I’ve been stuck on the large shrimp in spicy garlic sauce. Every time I go there I have to order it. I want to try so many other things. So now I order two meals just for me. I’m big fan of hot and sour soup fan. I have had many good bowls and many bad bowls. I would not give this a 100 score. I would give it a fair 7 to 8. I I have tried hot and sour soup and so many places I could not tell you who’s is the best so for right now, around here, this is no question in the top two at the very least. So, to sum it up? This is where I buy my Chinese food now. Nowhere else. I have already tried them. With regards to the other reviews, I can’t speak to the house. I wasn’t there. I do, however, agree that it is not the best dining experience. Very bland. But then again, I never sit in this type of a Chinese restaurant. All I want is the best food I can get for my buck. And I love it there. If you Tried it but didn’t like it, try again. On my honor. I am in no way connected or associated with the restaurant.

The worst worst worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I went there once and it was atrocious, years later I decided to go again and guess what? Still sucked… steer clear and when in a pinch go to Ho Ho’s across the street.

Cleaner than most hole in the wall restaurant. It’s Chinese American food so don’t expect much outside of the norm.

Ordered $ 60. worth of food at 5:30 pm on 12÷31÷13. I was told 30 — 45 minute wait. They asked only for my phone number. I arrived at 6:10 girl asked for my number so I gave it to her, she says no, not that number, that’s all I’ve got, I was never given a number Anyways she writes down my phone number and proceeds to look for my order, gives up, does other things. Meanwhile I’m very patient, but at 6:40 I had had enough. I ask the same girl, if my order has been found, she says no, what you order, I didn’t bring the slip of paper with me, I don’t really know. I told her to forget it, I’d go somewhere else. Meanwhile the phone is ringing off the hook, more and more people are coming in and walking out. The male help is arguing loudly, you could tell they were really upset. There was a woman who was waiting to pay for her order with a credit card, every time the girl tried to swipe her card, the other girl on the phone would slap her fingers(charge line is hooked up to phone line). This poor woman had already waited 15 minutes. I apologized to the people in the restaurant and told the girl, that they needed to stop taking orders until they had filled every one in the restaurants order and that they needed a better system for payment, poor ladies food was getting cold as she waited to pay. Needless to say, I will never order from Tin Tsin again on New Year’s Eve. not even sure if I’d ever order from them again.

After giving them another try I have to admit they seem to have gotten better. Tried the jumbo shrimp which were actually some of the best I’ve had and the chicken chow mein was really good. The bf tried the beef lo mein which was also a hit. I still think the prices are somewhat high but with no other good chinese places in the area it is worth it.

Food was ok. Prices were good. Service was very friendly. But the kicker was the chef that cooked our food hacking up loogeys the whole time we were trying to eat… just adds that little something special if you ask me. Made our lunch a little nicer!

I have waited a week or two to write this review and the memory of my «dining» experience at Tin Tsin has only gotten worse over time. I actually kind of want to vomit thinking about the food here. There is a small seating area but I got the feeling that we should just order at the counter, no table service would be provided. I ordered General Tso chicken which I never usually order but had a weird craving for that day. My girlfriend had Kung Pao chicken. Both entrees were part of a combo with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was provided in carry out containers with plastic silverware. There was plenty of it. The rice looked ok, everything looked ok. It was hot and apparently recently cooked, although I watched the pre-cooked«chicken» pieces dropped into a quick fryer bath for my General Tsos. This was the worst kind of General Tsos chicken. Seriously, zero meat enveloped in the rancid soggy, extremely salty mess of batter. Small sinewy strips of seldom utilized chicken fat, cartilage and tendon overwhelmed me as I tried to stomach this horrific pile of dog food like«cuisine». After about my third piece I bit into a nice crispily fried chunk of bone. Appetizing! About the same time as this I watched one of the cooks clear his throat loudly and spit into the garbage for about the third time. My egg roll was fine. My rice was ok. The place appeared fairly clean. But really this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had eating somewhere. My girlfriend pretty much concurred although there did seem to be pieces of actual chicken in the Kung Pao. Just disgusting.

We ordered take-out on new years eve from«the best chinese place in the area,» Tin Tsin. We ordered an hour in advance and were told that it would take approximately 45 min. After stopping at the local dollar store to pick up immitation red bull(RIP-IT), we arrived at tin tsin to pick up our food 45 minutes after we ordered. We waited for about 5 minutes to put our order together — meanwhile 15 or so patrons visited the counter, gasped at the approximate time until there food was ready, and left. We arrived home to much delight and jubilation. The feast began and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. We’ll be back next year. Tip: A lot of people order food on NYE. Plan ahead.

I can’t believe nothing has been written about this place! All in all– the hands down worst Chinese food in the entire world. I used to work at the Urgent Care next door and this was the only place that had vegan options near me at the time so I would get their crappy veggie lo mein and just deal with it. Literally though i am certain it is a front for money laundering it’s that friggin horrible.
