Don’t go here if your a «one please». They will seat anyone before they seat you. Or push the bar. I did not ask for the bar. If I wanted the bar I would have said. One for the bar please. I’m getting a bad taste in my mouth about these places down here.

I’m finally writing a review because this place has really gone downhill. In the last 3 to 4 years I have come here about 4 times a year. It was a 50⁄50 shot whether you would get good service or adequate food. Well, the last 3 times have been bad. Service is still about 50/50, but food is not good. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries. When asked how they cook their burgers the guy said Med. well. I asked if I could have mine med. rare, and he said ok. It came med. well. The bun was sitting in a literal pool of grease and the bun was sopping wet. He did bring a new bun. Also, it had a sweet flavor that made my hands sticky.weird. Needless to say, I only ate the fries, which were good. Oh, and there were tiny fruit flies all over… which means rotting something… and that’s not comforting. My friend and I were batting them away our entire meal. It’s really to bad, since it is a nice cozy location. But the owner has obviously given up on this place. And, so have I.

My last visit to Soho was not so good. I ordered the Country fried steak. And it was not good the steak was raw and tough and the breading tasted like saltine crackers my mash potatoes were cold. The service was just ok. My wifes chicken was also cold. I will try again one more time because I have gotten good food here in the past

We had tried going to Soho several times, but due to lack of customer service we were never seated. Once, we werent even addressed when waiting 15 minutes to be seated, despite the three employees standing idly and chatting. This time we were seated, albeit after some difficulty explaining to the staff we did not want to sit at the small high top table adjacent to the kitchen. Once finally seated, we had to explain to the hostess/server we would require a drink menu if we were to order drinks. After selecting entrees, we were served our food very quickly. This turned out to be a negative point, as the blackened salmon I ordered was almost completely raw. While i do enjoy sushi, this was nit very apetizing. I explained to my server this was unsatisfactory in a polite manner, and was given a shrug. The staff’s attitude and work ethic really show through at soho, not in a positive manner.

Fun atmosphere, good beers and decent food. Only place i have been where Rogue beers are on tap. Avoid the West O IPA! Typical sports bar atmosphere but good beer makes the it more better! Had the cuban. Sandwich was good, fries were alright.

I love this restaurant and bar! They have an awesome selection of delicious burgers(Mac and cheese burger is my favorite). They also have so much more to choose from like pastas, fried pickles, salmon(the blackened salmon is amazing), homemade kettle chips and even portabella burgers. The beer selection is great and I’ve always had excellent service here. I can’t get enough of this place!!!

Got here early on a Monday(5 pm) and the place is almost empty. They boast a respectable tap list, prolly about 40. Solid selection from around the Midwest. Notable omission — Surly. That’s a negative in my book. But they do have Bell’s Two Hearted so they earn that point back. I ordered an app and it was out in under 5 mins. Granted there’s hardly anyone in here, but still. Seems like it would be a fun place to come with a group of friends on a weekend night. Plenty of space and seating. Bartender is quiet and scarce. Again, they opened an hour ago and there’s hardly anyone here, but still. Have a little personality. Anyway, I’d prolly come back, of only for the good taps.

Had the Hawaiian burger and a few«local» brews. The food was average at best. Nice place, clean, etc. waitress was friendly, bartender less so.

The only reason I’m giving this place a 4 instead of a 5 is because service is so-so and is completely different every. single. time. But the food is BEYOND great! Their salmon is seriously the best salmon I’ve had outside of Alaska, no joke! Bar situation is on point. The flatbreads are amazing! But be sure to have someone to share with or plan on a LOT of leftovers. Martinis are great! I LOVE the décor but I’m a Broadway geek. Great spot in Sioux City

The atmosphere of this place is great and with the promenade right down the street, the location is idea for a night out. The menu is a step up from what you’d expect at a downtown eatery, and they’re French fries are awesome. I ate at the bar and received good, attentive service.

Had a great lunch here with a group of seven ranging from 3 years old to grandma. We had a small room in the back which was really convenient with children. We arrived for a late lunch on a Tuesday and had very good service. The waitress returned several times to ask if we needed anything. The menu is varied and changes periodically. Some items may seem experimental, like a burger with jalapenos poppers and grape jelly(my son loved it) and the mac & cheese bacon burger(very good). I enjoyed the caprese salad and the sweet potato fries. A couple of the kids split a flatbread pizza which was larger that expected and full of toppings. When I return to Sioux City next month, I am going to make sure we eat here again!

Terrible attitude by the staff. Messed up my order. No sorry. Bartender would not get manager. Will never be back.

Awesome food at a cheap price. Fantastic selection of beer. Nice relaxed atmosphere. When it is busy, it can take a little time to get sat, but as soon as you get sat, you get great service.

Absolutely love this place. The portions are huge, fries are delicious(especially the sweet potato fries), and burgers are so unique! If you love traditional American food with a twist, then this place is definitely for you. Waiters are generally nice and helpful. I am for sure coming back when I get the chance.

The food was good and it has a fun atmosphere, but their customer service was TERRIBLE. Even the Owner was horribly rude and refused to honor our discount card, to make matters worse we were there celebrating our sons birthday(which they were fully aware of) and still were RUDE and lacked professionalism and general customer service skills.

This place was terrible all around. I read the reviews here and thought to give it a try for some American food since the reviews for the nearby Mexican and Italian joints were bleh. We ordered the quesadilla for the appetizer it was nothing special and far larger than an appetizer should be so we were full just from that but then our dinner came. Do not order the French dip. Yes it’s thin sliced but full of fat you’ll be pulling fat strings out of your teeth ick. The au jus was not seasoned and it was bland and the fries were nothing special just peppered shoestrings. Hell even the lemons they have for the water were sad.

When we got into Sioux City in the mid afternoon, I turned to Unilocal to help us find a place for a late lunch and we decided to give Soho a try. The place has a cool vibe to it with a huge bar, tall booths and exposed brick. They’re obviously going for a «New York» feeling with lots of city accents– which means that its not very Iowa feeling. They had a decent beer selection and appeared to have a well stocked bar. I had the Mac n’ Cheese Bacon burger(which was incredibly messy but cheesy & tasty with a quality burger patty & good bun) and sweet potato fries(which were good, but not especially outstanding). My husband had the Hot in Harlem burger and he thought it was good with a mild spice, but not too hot and was well made. He also had the onion rings, which were fairly average. The servers were starting to set up for a big party that night, which lead to a lot of confusion and slamming of tables & chairs– which was a little distracting. This also meant that we were kind of forgotten about and we had to track someone down to get our bill.

I am in the Sioux City area on business. I have been to Soho Kitchen three times. I took to business associates with me last time. The beer selection is the best I’ve found in this area. I’m a craft beer guy, and they have a reasonable selection. Thumbs up to Amanda. She’s a great bartender. Helpful, friendly, and engaging. Both times I ate, I ordered the Jambalaya. I know… in IOWA??? It may be the best Jambalaya I’ve had… although I would suggest NOT having it on the(optional) linguine pasta, but over traditional rice(ask for extra rice) My friend said the flatbread pizza as excellent. My other friend enjoyed his meal, but I can’t remember what he got. Nice atmosphere. Sort of trendy, but fairly quiet when I have been in there. Recommended!
