I’ll have to say that in all the times I’ve visited here that today was out of bounds and over the top. The brisket was juicy and smoky and the baked beans were the best I’ve ever had. I can also attest that the potato salad is at a level that is absolutely perfect! Please keep it as it is as it’s absolutely amazing!!! This place puts Dickey’s to shame and is the benchmark in which all others will be compared to. Outstanding job my friends!!!

You will not be disappointed! It is a little out of the way being at the corner of Seabeck Hwy. and Newberry Hill Rd. in the corner of a gas station but… You will not find better BBQ West of the Cascades & North of the Texas State Line. My only complaint would be that they serve Coke products and not Pepsi, but I can get Pepsi right next door at the gas station’s fountain. My suggestion is the brisket plate; as a tip: You will need to come early as the brisket and pulled pork are normally sold out before dinner rolls around, they are pretty much only open for lunch so plan to be here before 5pm.

Great local BBQ. We usually call in our order and then pick up/take out. We love their food. BBQ is flavorful, not dry, and portions are good for the price. The Big Daddy burger is over the top, amazing and easily feeds two. We enjoy the brisket, pulled pork and the burgers. Good food, good local business. Our go to place for good real BBQ.

Best BBQ in Kitsap county for sure. The owners are wonderful people as well. I would recommend Smokin Robinson’s to anyone and everyone!

So… I will start this off by saying that as a Kansas City native and long time barbecue lover, I am what most would consider a «barbeque snob». I have lived in Kitsap for 4 ½ years, and have yet to find what I consider to be good barbeque. I was excited to try The Smokin’ Robinsons Café after a fellow snob told me about it. He had not eaten there, but had heard great things from Unilocal and friends. I tried it for lunch today, and was a bit unimpressed. My son had the chicken tenders, as he is a very picky eater. For 5.95, he got 3 or 4 decent sized tenders, and a grown-up portion of steak fries. Not a terrible value. However, his tenders were all burned beyond the point of what I would consider edible. He would not touch them again after trying them, and after I had a bite, I don’t really blame him. They had serious potential, but hit quite a ways off the mark. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. She, like myself, is a Kansas City transplant to the northwest, and is similar in her opinion of what makes good bbq. The sandwich, like the kids meal, was a good size. For 9.95, it also came with fries(which they graciously allowed her to swap for fried pickles.) and slaw on the side to top the sammie with. Unfortunately, it was fairly dry, with little to no bark. Now, I am by no means a connoisseur of pork butt. It’s not what we do in KC. However, I lived in the Carolinas for a while, where pork is king, and this didn’t quite fit the bill. I’m not saying it needed that God awful mustard/vinegar stuff that they call barbeque sauce in the Carolinas, but it was frankly a little overcooked. I would give it a C+/B-. The fried pickles, though, were quite good. I prefer spears to chips, and they were cooked perfectly. For myself, I ordered the 2 meat combo with brisket and hot links. This came with 2 sides and a corn muffin, and I opted for fried okra and collard greens. The meal was 15.95. As the owners apparently hail from Missouri, I was a bit shocked to find no burnt ends on the menu, but hopeful none the less. Upon first glance, I could tell that the sauce would be mostly what I am used to, which means sweet and likely tomato/molasses based. It had an interesting bite to it, and was decent; a bit heavy on the brown sugar, but overall, tolerable. The hot links were decent, but nothing to write home about. The brisket, though, is what everyone really cares about at the end of the day, right? The brisket was a bit dry, as though it was left in the smoker for an hour or 2 too long. Most of the grease ended up in the bottom of my Styrofoam container, making it fairly clear that it was not properly rested, allowing it to redistribute its juice again. The biggest flaw, though, is that it was an inferior grade of meat. This brisket was certainly Select grade, which will never allow you to get a beautiful, sopping wet piece of meat like a Prime, or even Choice will. The pieces were fairly thinly cut, which isn’t my preference. The collard greens were PHENOMENAL, though. If you like greens, it is almost worth the trip for them alone. Overall, I was a bit let down by my visit to The Smokin’ Robinsons Café. The real reason this is 2 stars instead of 3, though, is the burned chicken. Yes, the sauce is a little too sweet for my taste, and the meat was a little off from what I normally cook, but I can overlook those things. Some people like really sweet bbq sauce! Not everyone(especially those running a business) can afford choice or prime grade meat! For the prices being charged, though, I would expect a higher quality meat and no burned food. Personally, I would be professionally embarrassed to sell burned food. Overall, not a bad barbeque restaurant, and easily in the top 2 I’ve had in Kitsap. The only problem is… The other one in the top 2 is Famous Dave’s. And that’s not company I would be thrilled to keep.

If I could give it 6 stars I would. Authentic southern/mid-west food excellently done. They have Fried Catfish! That is so hard to find in Washington. The Collard Greens are wonderful as is the fried Okra. The BBQ melts in your mouth.

It’s hard to find good BBQ in Washington, and this place is sooo good! They’re collard greens are amazing! Their sweet potato fries are crispy and delicious! And their pulled pork was rich in flavor! This BBQ joint is a keeper in Washington state, one of the few.

Just had the best BBQ in Kitsap county. The pulled pork was smokey with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. The rib tips had a wonderful crust and an amazing flavor. I can’t wait to try more of the sides. We had the fried green beans, slaw, and potato salad. All were great. I’ll be back when I’m near Silverdale. So worth the drive out of town.

I saw this place got voted Best Barbecue in the Central Kitsap Reporter. I had no idea where it was at, but once I found it, I was thankful I did! I grew up in Louisiana and Texas, so I know all the best barbecue comes from nondescript little places. A hole in the wall next to a gas station off the beaten path certainly is nondescript! I had the brisket, chicken, some collard greens, sweet potato fries and cornbread. The Styrofoam container I was handed containing my food was so heavy! What a generous portion for the price! I easily made two meals out of it. The brisket was the best I’ve had outside of Texas. A generous portion with just a little bit of fat, and all big meaty taste. The smoked chicken was out of this world — it just fell off the bone! And it’s been a good long while since I had collard greens that delicious. They’re not slimy and cooked down, they still have just a little crunch and were delightfully perfect. The cornbread wasn’t sweet like the cake most places around here serve and call cornbread. It was yellow with some big, thick crunchy cornmeal grains mixed in. Don’t come here expecting something fancy. Come here expecting a lot of wonderful food. And I saw there was a breakfast menu… Now that I can’t wait to try!

Ok, I have only been here once and that is enough to know this place is amazing. I was on my way to the Kitsap Humane Society and realized I was starving and wanted to eat before my shift. This seemed like the only place around, and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much since it is located next to a gas station. However, right as I walked in, the staff was so friendly and just plain happy. You don’t get much of that these days. For some reason, I wound up ordering the grilled cheese with mac & cheese on it. I took a bite and literally said, «You’ve got to be kidding me.» It was amazing and I knew I was doomed. I think I felt tears forming. And to make matters worse, some of the mac & cheese was overflowing from the sandwich and coating the fries underneath. I will definitely be coming back to try any and all of the BBQ next time. I already know this place is worthy of 5 stars. Yum.

You don’t expect great barbecue far away from the South, but Smokin Robinsons is definitely an exception. I had a 3 meat combo that came with 2 sides and cornbread. The meats I had were rib tips, pulled pork and brisket. I loved all of them, but the brisket was my favorite. My sides were potato salad and fried pickles. The fried pickles were pickle spears. They were excellent. The potato salad was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place!

Best BBQ place in the Pacific Northwest — hands down! This TEXAS girl knows good bbq & Smokin Robinsons has brought the best of the south to the PNW! I couldn’t be happier! This small little hideaway off of a gas station might leave you feeling a little hesitant, but the staff & food are just amazing. The brisket is my absolute favorite! & I love it with the Mac & cheese and fried okra! I do like to mix it up with fried pickles sometimes… The pulled pork is a second favorite, but my go-to is usually the brisket because that’s not something we make at home & his is perfect! :)

The single best meal I’ve had in a dozen years of living in Kitsap County, at any price. The brisket is juicy and trimmed the way I like it, with a good bark and lots of smoke. The pulled pork is excellent. The sides were all fantastic — I ordered four and tasted two more. My grandmother would slap me if she heard how good I think the potato salad is. They close early, and when items are gone, they’re gone, but I’ll plan ahead for house-made sides and killer BBQ served by friendly people. Just don’t get there before me and eat it all yourselves.

If you have ever had southern style greens and can’t find them anywhere, look no more!!! Some pulled pork, greens and a drink will bring back memories of sitting in the yard during a family gathering without the wired uncle that embarrassed you the last time you were at the store…

Thought we would give this place a try after several people recommending it. Small place Located on Seabeck hwy connected to chevron gas station. The place was nice and clean which I appreciated! Food was amazing! Service was excellent! friendly staff! We had a little bit of everything, pulled pork slider, brisket Sammy, ribs, sweet corn nuggets, collard greens, cornbread muffins, steak fries and coleslaw. All were delicious. Better than famous Dave’s and Dickey’s! Good portion sizes. We will be back! They also offer military discount!!!

I went in on a lunch break(11am) and ordered the rib tips, Mac n cheese and baked beans. By the way, I’ve come here before and their food was way different. I was disappointed this day to find that the Mac n cheese is now runny and filled with large bacon pieces in it, the baked beans taste very saucy like they were drowned it in and the rib tips were over cooked. My husband ordered the pulled pork meal and come to find out it doesn’t come on the bun anymore like it used to. We paid $ 30 for two meals with no drinks. That’s a bit much. I could’ve went elsewhere for that. I’m a bit upset about this ordeal and I probably won’t come back.

I can do nothing but praise this place. The attention and dedication placed into their food is obvious. The owners and staff are amazing people. If for some strange reason you haven’t eaten this food yet you must find an excuse to go out and remedy that fact. Okay, so it may seem strange for me to ride out here when I don’t eat red meat nor can have wheat/gluten, but that doesn’t mean my family members follow the same diet! I have had their potato salad which is delish and their sweet potato fries are yum too! But let’s talk about what the fam loves to get. The Big Daddy — Sis’s favorite and it is a monster! Each time she orders it I swear it gets bigger. She loves the fact she has leftovers she can take to work and show off lol She also loves their mozzarella sticks. The best comment I heard her say was the first time we ate there she said«finally take out food that taste good!» Praise indeed! My dad normally just orders a hamburger, but after reading an article about them tonight’s dinner was for the pulled pork with steak fries and coleslaw. When asked if it was good the answer was«Oh yeah!» and he also likes the amount of food you get. Seriously take that trip. Find an excuse. You won’t be sorry.

Highlight’s: Brisket, Cat Fish and pulled pork is money well spent. You can tell they are small and happy to be open with a family Friendly atmosphere. LOWS: mediocre sides. I hope to come back and try the ribs with Mac and Cheese. I’ll update this review soon. ***Come HUNGRY
