This place is your standard Peruvian chicken place. Really nothing to write home about. I will say they are reasonably priced. You can get a family platter(whole chicken, two sides and two drinks) for $ 20. Dinner for 4 easy. I will say this the older later that works the register isn’t friendly at all. She seems to always come off like you’re bothering her when you place an order. I go here on a regular basis because the food is decent and its two minutes from my house.

Food is great! Service is trash. The lady behind the counter never greets us and sometimes just stares at us. We only come back for the food, customer service is a 1.

The chicken is very well seasoned and moist, but not dripping, which peruvian chicken shouldn’t be like to begin with. The fries are very nice and hot, they make new batches very, very often. I’ve always had really great customer service here. I don’t see what the hype is with the other peruvian chicken places is in the area? This is my families go to spot when we feel like having a little bit of home.

The food is average– white meat is very dry. The sides are just OK. Why I don’t go here anymore, even though it is only a couple minutes from my home, is that they started being sauce nazis. They used to give plenty of the green spicy sauce and the yellow sauce until recently when I went and they only gave two of each for a whole chicken I ordered. When I asked for more, they wanted to charge me $ 0.25 each!!! Would rather drive farther and get better service, better food, and a decent amount of sauces without being charged. There are many other better chicken places out there.

Service is terrible and they are very rude, especially the woman who works there. I believe the woman is actually one of the owners. I have given this place a number of chances although I have never felt very welcomed here. Let me tell you about my wonderful experience there today. I went in around 7pm. There was only one customer in front of us. I walked to the counter and no one said a word. The young guy was preparing someone else’s food, possibly getting food from the cook in back. He was facing toward the back, and he turned around to look at us. He did not say a word, and he continued doing what he was doing. My sister said hello, and the woman said, hello. Then, she continued to walk past us to the cash register. Now, this is several minutes later, and they didn’t take our order nor did they let us know that they would be with us shortly. Nothing!!! What can kind of customer service is this??? Please tell me??? We walked the hell out and will not return. The food is just mediocre anyway.

The chicken itself is pretty good, they skimp on the sides though. The side orders are also not that good. Pollo Brasero is definitely a notch below Sardi’s. They skimp on the amount of sauce and charge $.25 extra for each sauce cup besides the free two that you get. This place is «okay» if you’ve never had Peruvian food but Sardi’s is much much better.

Pollo Brasero has good food for reasonable prices. They pretty much serve Peruvian chicken and some sides. That’s about all. However, this specialization has given them the ability to provide this food as fast as any fast food establishment. My wife particularly liked their sartenas, which are inexpensive. There are two caveats to this — first, the white meat can be dry. The other thing, and I took off a point for this, they sell drinks by the can and have nothing on tap.

The food is excellent. I was torn between the empanadas and the chicken. I ended up ordering the chicken. I’ll order the empanadas next time. The sides were more like home cooking. Everything was so good and freshly prepared. I enjoyed my visit.

Delicious char boiled chicken. Not exactly a sit down place, but they have plenty seating. TV had soccer on which was great. Would definitely recommend this place.

The place looks like not much but the sarteñas are really filling and juicy. It’s not just dough. I had the chicken and yuca. The latter tasted a bit stale and it was probably due to it being sitting under the warmer for an undetermined amount of time. Bathrooms are clean. There were many people that would order for carry out. The chicken and their side selection is typical like other places.

Outstanding chicken. Great service. Clean place. Great prices. Most everything is homemade and delicious. I highly recommend. On my visit I ordered the ½ chicken and 2 sides, I could not finish the entire plate. I really liked the premevera rice. Good stuff

Disclaimer; the chicken was not the«best I’ve ever had». Despite that, I really liked this place. While it’s billed as a Peruvian Chicken place the menu is actually a mix of all three of my favorite South American countries: Perú(chicken, lomo saltado and ceviche), Bolivia(salteñas) and Argentina(alfajores and argentine style empanadas). As mentioned before the chicken was good but I wouldn’t call it the best I ever had; I would say the same for the salteñas. Both were missing something but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. On the plus side the chicken was a little spicier than other places and I did like that. The empanadas were awesome– in my opinion the must try dish here. Also, the alfajores were definitely more Argentine style than the Peruvian/Bolivian ones you normally get in the area(Argentine ones are better imho). I was somewhat disappointed that they had no coffee to drink with my alfajor but it was made up for by the fact that they serve Peruvian and Bolivian beers and Argentine wine… Something You never see at the hole in the wall stateside Peruvian chicken places. The Classic Peruvian soft drinks, Inca Kola and Chicha Morada were also available. Finally, I would add that the overall the décor is nicer than a lot of the other more barebones Peruvian chicken places in the area; it was a pleasant place to have a meal.

Pretty good. My husband and I tried pollo brasero for the first time this week. The chicken is tender and flavorful. The black beans were cooked perfectly. The highlight of our meal was the empanadas. Very tasty! I particularly enjoyed the beef empanadas. The plantains were not as juicy as I like plus you have to pay extra if you choose that as a side. The steamed vegetables were nothing special. Quite bland. Overall, we gave brasero a B. Our favorite Peruvian chicken spot still reigns.

Best Peruvian chicken in the area hands down, if not a bit overpriced due the owners knowing this fact. P. S. Wheaton has options that blow it out the water for considerably cheaper though, if your willing to make the drive.

This is the only place that I like the chicken because it’s not dry. It’s cooked to perfection. The side dishes like fried yuca and plantain are really good. Their salads are fresh. I would eat at this place everyday!

Rarely do I write reviews while still full from the food I’ve just eaten, but LETMEJUSTTELLYA“LL. That chicken boy! wooo weee. It’s smells divine. What ever seasoning they use it perfectly done and its juicy, tender and just the right size for a late lunch. And that sauce… I ordered the ¼ chicken dark meat, yellow rice, beans and plantains. All of it was warm, delicious and having the sauce on all my chicken and rice was so worth the 25 cents extra I paid for more sauce. All of that came to $ 8. I’m just going to succumb the the food coma… if you don’t hear from me, I died happily.

Anytime I’m in this area I’m getting some of this amazing Peruvian chicken. Even the white meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. The yuca was good even though I’m not usually a fan and the mashed potatoes were good too. Just make sure to get the gravy for the latter. The family meal(whole chicken, two large sides, and two cans of soda) was more than enough for me and two friends; all for under 20 bucks! Great place for a quick, cheap, delicious bite to eat.

If you’re looking for inexpensive, quality Peruvian-style chicken, go no further than here. This place rocks. The prices are really good, the chicken(and all the food for that matter) is delicious, and the place is amazingly clean.

Got the lomo saltado and fried plantains. Can’t complain. Lomo was pretty good. Didn’t seem like enough meet or fries, but I’m not sure bc people were picking at my plate… and the plantains were fried really well; just the way I like them! The green sauce was good, but not spicy enough.

Always amazing… especially on days you are craving it. I work right near this place. It looks bad from the outside, but it’s very good inside! The price isn’t bad, and the portions are great. I often get a whole chicken’s combo meal with sides. and take out. It’s cheap and convenient! Around lunch, you can see a whole bunch of men watching soccer games on the TV. But it’s relaxed and a nice quiet place to eat lunch alone too. Everything that they make is good. I normally get steamed vegetables and rice/beans. or the house salad which is good. I think at first, some side items could taste bland to you, but there’s salt and pepper packets to-go, if you like more taste.
