My experience has been unsatisfactory, I’ll never go to a salon again.

My advice is to keep looking around if you need a blow out and a trim… The salon is just not set up to take care of those persons without locs. They don’t have steam treatments… I guess Urban Bella in Atlanta has spoiled me. I remember walking out of Urban Belle and it was so awesome and everyone was so friendly. At, Noire Salon, the person that shampoos your hair is very aloof, close-mouthed, and not friendly. Her customer service skills are severely lacking. I thought that the stylist was a bit scissor happy even though you provide clear instruction. Therefore, be warned– she will take liberty and do what she demeans necessary. Try the salon for yourself, but I wont’ be going back.

Noire was recommended HIGHLY to me by a really good friend and I have been looking for a natural hair salon for awhile now so I am excited to finally find a place 1) The Stylist are extremely busy… it took two attempts over about a month to get an appointment. I usually am looking for something up to about a week out and they are just booked solid. And with only two of the stylist doing natural hair, if you are a new client, just be prepared. 2) The Stylist I booked with was over an hour late, didn’t apologize and didn’t communicate with me after three separate attempts to reach out to her while I was waiting. 3) She did a great job. Unfortunately, I found her completely rude and unpleasant and really don’t want to give her my business… ever. As for if I will use them again — I will not be going to Ashley again but will try to book with the owner as I do not feel Ashley had good client relations.

I went for a blow out and trim yesterday. My appointment was at 1pm and when I arrived, I was immediately shampooed and prepped for Camille. I agree with other reviewers, the salon is small, but I don’t care about that. I loved that both Fredrika(who shampooed me) and Camille were knowledgeable about hair and products. Camille was actually able to explain the science behind some products and gave product recommendations. Overall, my experience was great. the price was reasonable(25dollars for blowout and trim), the other client who was there was very nice, and the stylists were friendly. I’m definitely going back. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment for color.

This place is great. The stylists are knowledgeable and professional, and will treat your hair right. I have gone to places that claim to serve customers with natural hair yet don’t know what they are doing or get upset at the texture of my hair. Not so here! They are great and foster having a positive attitude about your hair. Ashley has been my stylist each time and she is wonderful. Plus, they open in the evenings so you can come by after work. Yes, it’s not the biggest or most glamorous place but as the stylists are by appointment, it’s never crowded. They specialize in locs but are great for providing maintenance and styling for all hair types. I always get compliments on my styles after visiting Noire. You won’t regret your visit!

I’ve gone several times to have Camille trim my hair and have recommended others to her. She does a great job, and getting a wash, blow-dry and trim for less than $ 25 is a deal in the natural hair world! She’s always professional and polite, and my appointments are always quick(usually under an hour). I haven’t tried any other services(or any other stylists) but I’ve been pleased every time I have gone, as have the people I’ve sent to her.

this salon is private and i like the owner’s ability to know what a client needs as far as hair treatment. The styles she creates are fantastic! I give the experience 5 stars!

If you do go to this salon, please don’t make an appointment with Shawntae. She is the most unprofessional stylist that I’ve ever dealt with! First, we made an appointment and I went to the salon after work rushing because I thought I was late. Well, she didn’t even show up! Twenty minutes later, another stylist called her and she was apologetic but I was still annoyed. We made another appointment and then two days later I get a text from her asking me to change it to a different day. She didn’t even have the decency to call – she handled it by text! I just said forget it because I don’t have time for that. Obviously, if I made my appointment on a certain day then that works for my schedule. She is very unprofessional and has a lot to learn about customer service. Don’t even waste your time with her.

The salon is small and cozy. The service is professional and the staff is knowledgeable. If I lived in the DMV area, I would be a regular customer. I highly recommend Noire Salon for beautifully crafted and well-cultivated loc styles.

Before coming to Noire Salon, I heard about Camille via word of mouth… naturally, even before getting into her chair, I would take note of her knowledge on hair… and I must admit, she is what I consider the expert on the science of hair, which made me more comfortable… not too many ppl can rattle off correct PH’s for our hair like Camille. My hair… well lets say… I am a leader of my personal pack, I do not have locs, anyone who tackles my hair automatically comes with a grimace… or tries to change my mind into something which is easier for the stylist moreso than my needs. Camille tackles my hair… and with a smile… she knows how to tame my tresses, in addtion to her wisdom to keeping it healthy which is a blessing witin itself. I do not live near her area, however she is so worth the trip… no one touches my tresses unless its Camile… I will always refer ppl to her salon, my word is my bond, and I do not like to wreck«my» image… so there you have it folks: D

I’ve gotten my hair done at Noire Salon twice. Both times I got my hair braided in the front and two strand twisted the rest. The style turned out nice and lasted about 2 weeks.(I untwisted and rocked a twist out the 2nd week.) The salon is tight. And both times, my appointment was 3 – 4 hours long. The stylists were really nice when I went. Once though, I had to go to the ATM because the owner didn’t allow the other stylists to use her credit card machine. It was a bit bizarre. I made sure to bring cash the 2nd time I have not gone back and don’t plan too. It’s too pricey for me.
