I don’t frequent Happy’s as much as the Bottle Shop but I have nothing bad to say. You can find almost anything you need — it’s like a small 7 – 11. The people who work/own the place are always nice. I remember one Christmas they left Santa up halfway thru January. I asked the guy why he was still up and he said«Santa is my very best friend.» I don’t know why I found that funny but I still remember. It’s mid-Jan now. Maybe I should check to see if Santa is still up.

Family owned businesses rock! I usually just walk here, plenty of street parking on Sierra Madre Blvd. or you can park on the Baldwin in their private lot. The Indian owners are friendly and don’t hesitate to greet you with a smile. Like when they ask how you are doing, you can really feel they care about their customers and not asking just to ask. I come here not for their wine or spirits, but the beef jerky they carry. The brand is Sierra Madre Provision Co., best locally packaged beef jerky. Really hard to find in stores but Happy’s carries it so to Happy’s we go!

Conveniently located. Decent selection. The woman is nice. The tall gentleman is nice. The dude with the belly is… well, he’s a little strange. They also sell pretty good tamales in the morning at a decent price.

Happy’s is conveniently located on the corner of Sierra Madre and Baldwin. They have a parking lot that is a lot larger than is needed, but as a customer that’s a good thing. The employees(and owner?) are very cheerful, and as Eric’s review said, one of them likes to sing. If he’s singing when you walk in, he will keep going while you make your purchase. I think it’s fun. I’m never looking for anything difficult to find, so Happy’s and The Bottle Shop are both great stores in my opinion.

This is a very small privately owned convenience and liquor store with a moderately decent selection of wines for its size. The best thing about it is that it is Indian owned, so the shop carries a lot of incense and some other imported food stuffs. Prices are comparable to The Bottle Shop 1 black west, but Happy’s is about a tenth of its size. The good thing about Happy’s it that it is open an hour later than the the other, and also the service is very friendly, and one of them is a singer and even sings Indian Ragas to the customers. It is a good honestly little shop. Also, it opens earlier than the Bottle Shop as well, if you require that sort of thing.
