The strawberry salad with grilled chicken is heavenly. The Tuesday special shrimp and grits is my 2nd favorite. Comes in a small portion, but still enjoyable. I come to the downtown location frequently. Lunchtime is chaotic for them. But the end result is certainly worth the wait. Always friendly service.

Excellent service, first rate food and overall one of the best catering companies I have done business with. I live 200 miles from Shreveport and needed a bridesmaid brunch catered at a local hotel. I called Bistro to Go and Delisa(please forgive if I misspelled!!) made me feel like family. She had excellent suggestions regarding the menu and the amount of food needed. She also served the guests. Overall, a great experience. Price was in line with other caterers, but it was the personal service and attention to detail that will win you over.

I went to Bistro To Go several years ago when he was just starting up with a name change and leaving Southpark Mall. Everything I had back then was good and everything is even better now, more perfected and lots of new menu items. He’s doing some killer business. Upon Picha’s review and persistent demands :-) to try their smoked turkey sandwich and to(as she put it) express my ever-lasting love to my wife by taking one to her on her lunch hour at work, I relented. I’m glad I did. I remember a couple of the options were to add cheese or fried green tomato. I got ours with fried green tomato and for my 2 side items that come with it, I chose a bag of potato chips and their spinach dip. There is a humongous amount of meat on the sandwich and the sweet curry mayo on it puts it over the top. Delicious! The dip was very tasty but left me wishing for a larger container of it. I also had their bread pudding and while I did enjoy it, I make a much better rum sauce(though I usually opt for brandy), no fault with the breading part though and I still recommend it as I think it will be better than what most people have ever had. I definitely recommend Bistro To Go and I look forward to trying much more on their menu.

Woww~ this place never lacks of smiles! Once I opened the door, they greeted me with huge smiles!(feel important ^^ heehee). Both owners and servers are nice! ^_^ Your glass will never be empty and your table is cleaned promptly. Everything is delicious! My most favorite dish is the Smoked Turkey Sandwich, it’s soooo good! The turkey is tasty and the bun is soft and crispy at the same time! I really wanted to know how they do it but, I didn’t ask them, too shy. ;“p The chicken chunks in the gumbo are big and is yummy! I am drooling as I am writing this review. :“9 Will definitely be going back! I really wish they were also open on the weekends! ^_*

They delivered lunch to my office and it was so good! Grilled chicken breast, with mushroom sauce or a Thai chili sauce, salad, a rice dish, fresh brownies, and iced tea. The sweet tea was fresh and not too sweet. They also delivered a bag of ice which was incredibly thoughtful and appreciated. The brownies were soft and full of melty chocolate chunks. The chicken was moist and flavorful and I loved the mushroom sauce. The rice was tasty and had chunks of zucchini. The salad though… I could eat that forever! A perfect green salad topped with strawberries and the best dressing ever. The next time I’m in Shreveport I plan to go by and see if I can buy the dressing on its own in a quart or something! I will definitely make it a point to go to the actual restaurant and try some more of the delicious menu offerings!

stopped in to get a quick bite that I could eat on the road. It was packed for lunch! But the woman at the counter was very nice. I ordered a turkey sandwich and small cup of gumbo and sat and waited… and waited… and waited… until I died of hungry. I kid– I did not die– but it was a close call. The good: So having waited so long…(25 min was a loooong time for turkey sandwich) I was thinking… man! this had better be the best friggen turkey sandwich I have ever eaten! Know what? it actually was. Not kidding. Had a little curry kick and pickle both which I liked, and the turkey was sliced and oven toasted… also a win… and the bread that I am not supposed to have … also a win! Will have the gumbo today bc did not want to drive and gumbo– but since so many raved I just had to get. I also like that they have take away options that you can heat and put in the oven at home. Next time I will try. Less good: Parking– this place was packed and their lot small. however, there is a bigger lot across the street and the walk is not bad. Bottom line: yum.

Was in for lunch today. Delicious Bistro Burger, some Gumbo, macaroni salad, and twice baked potatoes. Then the best bread pudding you ever had. Great atmosphere, fantastic food, reasonably priced.

Stopped here for lunch while on a business trip to the area. Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Gumbo was delicious. Shrimp and grits were on point. And lastly the bread pudding was a nice ending. Would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

This place is amazing! Two of my co-workers took me here when I was in town for business and I’m so glad they did because EVERYTHING was delicious. I’ll warn you though they are super packed and busy so you may have to wait for a table. Good news is the waiters are quick on their feet and once you’re sitting they will get you in and out fast. We started with the spring dip and chips which was a really yummy spinach type dip that I really enjoyed. Cool and creamy and excellent with the chips. Then I had a strawberry salad which was way larger than I thought it would be and had the best flavor to it. Not only did it have fresh greens and strawberries but some shredded cheese and a sweet vinaigrette. I really loved it! The friday special was Catfish Lafite with shrimp étouffée and white rice. It was rich and flavorful and was actually a pretty large portion for a VERY reasonable price. I would have eaten the étouffée by itself for sure so even if this isn’t the special of the day, try and order it! My friend had the chicken salad sandwich and she loved it, orders it almost everytime because it’s good, and I really can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in town and try more on the menu.

This is exactly my type of place… great Louisiana food served at a small family restaurant. All of their entrees, salads, and desserts were common Louisiana staples yet unique in their own way. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with my questions. I look forward to each visit.

The absolute best food around. Home cooking all the way. Our favorite is the spinach stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes, but we’ve had many different entrée, sides & salad options and all have been winners. Our office is catered by Bistro To Go very often because they are so much better than everything else around. They serve a special butter with their rolls that is amazing. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and flavor of the food. Two thumbs up!
