MAC Cosmetics

From beginning to end my experience here was amazing. I came unannounced on a Friday afternoon prom season. I feel so bad I forgot the first girls name, but she was so sweet and although was busy with other people, she talked to me and explained to me that it’ll be a while and after 7 minutes or so, offered me a seat so I was comfortable. Then, in front of me mentioned to Karen that I’ve been patiently waiting for a while and asked if she could help me. Karen talked to me to see what I wanted and told me she’d be with me right after she finished the girl she was working on. Which was maybe another 7 minutes. Totally I probably waited 20 – 25 minutes, maybe more but it went by quick & they were so nice I couldn’t complain.
Now I’m with Karen and she was amazing. She listened to what I wanted and brought exactly that to me. I told her I was a beginner and she understood that. It was amazing how she gave me exactly what I needed and it blended with my complexion perfectly. I couldn’t be happier. So thank you Karen and thank you MAC. I’m officially obsessed and will definitely take the drive to come here.
Side bar: Because I did come from a MAC counter in Menlo and was disappointed so decided to drive 30 minutes to Short Hills and was satisfied.
These MAC girls definitely know their stuff.

I love this location. The girls are very knowledgable about the products! It gets a little crazy in there on the weekends, so plan to be patient and to spend a little time if you need lots of help or want a demo. I went early in the week and got to really pick one of the artists brains. So if you go during the week it definitely makes a difference. The lady who helped me told me they offer uninterrupted services now too! so if you book it in advance, you get a whole hour with an artist without them having to step away to help other people. I can’t wait to do that!

This location is smalll and dated. It looked like the 1990’s. Its sort of dark also. As usual getting help took a minute. They did not have what I wanted.

MAC makeup is excellent but I think I need to try a different location. MAC actually makes several foundations for darker skin tones so it’s a little frustrating to deal with salespeople who consistently recommend the wrong shades for both foundation and concealer.

I only buy my make-​up from M.A.C. The quality of their make-​up is absolute top-​notch. You pay more, but you look better, and then your look lasts longer (all day, all through the night). The service at this particular M.A.C. is great. They all know their stuff. I go in and list off the products I need and they scurry around the store to grab it all and ring me up. The make-​up artists are also extremely willing to try out different looks on you, for no cost at all (they hope you’ll buy whatever they use on your face). They are all extremely talented artists. The service is so great. One of the workers recognizes me now!
I will always recommend M.A.C. makeup for both their great quality and fabulous customer service.

went here last night for an event (Disney Villainous Villains Collection launch) and i was really impressed! the staff was SO NICE, the store is small but well lit and organized (i could actually find everything I needed, as opposed to some other stores). I chatted with one artist for quite a while, she gave me some good tips on new techniques i was interested in, and even offered to have me come in for a free makeup lesson! yaay! if i lived closer, i’d be there all the time :)
