Yuri Sarkisan is the owner or Werner’s Tailoring. I was introduced to him through his alterations work at Mario’s downtown. His work is simply the best. He once re-​worked a dress taking it apart completely to get it to hang correctly, eventually finding that the asymmetry was because one of my legs is longer than the other. It was a hideous amount of work to figure this out, and he was very gracious about it. Yuri has updated older couture clothing to give outdated favorites a new life, and through smart alterations has made lesser quality items fit like a million bucks. Yuri is capable of work far beyond basic alterations: I’ve seen one of his bespoke men’s suits that was featured in a local glossy magazine spread a few years ago — marvelous workmanship. Prices are reasonable and he always delivers on time.
