THEYAREUNDERNEWOWNERSHIP. MUCHBETTER!!! This place really rocks. The ingredients are top notch and far above any other place where you can get a sandwich in the area. The preparation is done with care and consistency. Prices for the sandwiches are actually cheaper than their competition and they don’t skimp on out on the ingredients. The place is also very clean, unlike the pizza place next door(Simjis) I can’t remember her name but the new owner is a trained chef and it shows. She has also brought Austrian pastries and sweets to the shop. They are authentic and AMAZING! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

This place has to be on its last leg. I return to this place every few months as a last resort. Nobody is ever in the place except the employees. The location is in a basement of a building that is for sale with 75% of the other retail spots vacant. I ordered a roast beef sandwich that was so dry I might as well have ordered cardboard. I only had a $ 50.00 which they could not break and they don’t accept credit cards.

Great breakfast place, I always get the egg, ham and cheese on my bike rides. Owner could not be more accommodating. Friendly and engaging.

Well, THAT was disappointing. I hadn’t been here in a while but I remember their sandwiches were very good so I stopped by to get a sub, the Downtowner. Almost ten dollars for a bottled drink and a very mediocre sub. The bread was not fresh and the turkey was very poor quality – more like over processed turkey loaf than the fresh kind. I didn’t notice what brand they are using but they must have switched from a higher quality deli meat, like Boar’s Head. I ate half the sandwich and tossed the rest. Even D’Angelos makes a better sandwich than this.

Whenever I try to go to this restaurant I am always baffled by their outstanding service, but I have often been disappointed by their inconvenient store hours.

I have tried to eat here for 6 years but the place is never open. I went there today and the sign said«open.» The door was locked and the lights were off. This is not the first time. What gives? One time, I arrived 45 minutes before close and the woman at the counter said they were closing soon and couldn’t serve me. Bunch of slackers in this town. Sheesh!

Ok. Gotta say that we were disappointed. Entire place seems beat up and hodge podge of décor. Which can be charming. This just seemed disorganized and cheap. The bathroom outside and around the building was very grimy with no paper towels and dirty bar soap. The food was mediocre at best. Pre-made salads w slimy lettuce. Veggie wrap was decent. Staff was young and pleasant. This pace has lots of potential and I’m sure a big supporter if the local community. A bit more attention. To overall quality and it would be a real gem.

I came here for lunch last week. I was meeting my friend who lives in a nearby town. She had been before and suggested it would be a good place to meet since her kids had a music class nearby. I was early and so I walked in and my 3 boys immediately noticed the HUGE toy box full of cool toys to play with, not something you see every day at a deli! The second thing I noticed was that they served Boars Head meats! I knew immediately I would be getting myself a wrap instead of the pizza that my friend was raving about! The third thing I noticed was the owner Dave acknowledging every customer that walked in the door with a smile and friendly banter. It’s clearly a place where there are«regulars» and I love that about places! While I don’t live nearby, I would definitely come back next time I visit my friend. Not only was my wrap delicious and the boys loved their pizza, but you could tell that he really values his customers(the big ones and the little ones!). We had an incident with other customers who thought our boys were being too unruly(they weren’t — they were just playing with the toys at their table). Dave told us that he thought our boys were very well behaved and that they were welcome anytime. He has that big toy box for a reason! Then he proceeded to follow us out to our cars to chat and to fix my bumper that popped off. Now that is customer service!

Although tough to find this little gem of a sandwich shop offers premium Boar’s Head meat piled high in creative sandwiches. The bread is fresh and tasty and the environment is eclectic. It only accepts cash and beverages other then the coffee are all bottled so come prepared. The small country feeling dining room offers large tables with ample seating. For the little ones there is even a toy chest to keep them occupied while the adults enjoy their tasty meals.

I have been to great spot a couple of times for lunch. They have a wonderful selection of sandwiches. The added bonus was the quaint dining area. Kind of an old lodge feel to it. Different color tables with sturdy seating. The help was friendly and helpful. I had a sandwich with the freshest bread I have had in a long time. Would recommend this spot for anyone out to have good lunch and a reasonable cost.

I haven’t been here in years and years… but this used to be one of my favorite places to get sandwiches when I was in high school. The owner cooked a lot of his own meats(roast beef, corned beef, turkey, chicken, ham), as well as made his own meatballs, and his own tuna and chicken salads. And using the fresh cooked meats, as opposed to Boar’s Head or other prepackaged deli meats really made a HUGE difference in the quality of the overall sandwich. In all fairness, I haven’t been here since they changed ownership, expanded into the former video rental store space, added a dining area, and started serving pizza. So I have no idea if the place is any good any more. But this used to be the pinnacle of what was possible with deli meats, as far as I’m concerned. It took the simple concept of a sandwich, and elevated it to an art form. I have had very few sandwiches since that have come close to reaching that goal.

Everyone from Dover-Sherborn loves this place! Good sandwiches, coffee, salads, pizza, and muffins. Great place to meet friends for an early morning breakfast, or a famous visions-of-catherine sandwich.
