Had Valentine’s Day brunch with the family here today. The food was totally fine, the omelettes wonderful and everyone liked what they ordered including hashbrowns and toast and coffee. The service was excellent, and the décor is very cute. It was a big crowd but they handled it well and we got our table and reasonable time. I would’ve given five stars but the French toast was not quite as fabulous as I was hoping for. Also, I would love if they had actual cream versus half-and-half. Will definitely go back here. Much better than a lot of other places in the area.

This place is horrible. The food we ordered was a mystery. Whatever it was it was? It was served(finally) undercooked and cold the staff was non-caring and belligerent. *Going out to eat here was really a big mistake. I especially felt horrible with the waitresses hostile response to my concerns

Breakfast was close to awful. Food: cheese omlette was non-descript, short on flavor, flat as a pancake, ingredients were of questionable quality, a losing proposition; hash browns were gross, oily, flavor was highly suspect. Coffee was not bad. Servers were polite and efficient. Ambiance is friendly.

I’m a brunch fanatic. Luckily, so is my best friend, so we have made it our mission to have brunch at every available diner in the Boston area. Stop #18, Station 5 Grille. Ambiance: B+ Speed: A+ Service: A Food: A Our server was fantastic and sassy, two of my favorite ways to describe someone. She was a «no bullshit» kind of waitress. There was quite a bit of a wait for a table, but apparently she could see the murderous hint in the back of our eyes considering we hadn’t yet eaten and it was almost noon. The place was filled with rowdy children and families, but we knew in visiting a local diner, that’s what we were signing up for. We were seated at a booth in the back and our order was taken almost immediately. The food came out within 10 minutes(always impressive) and the entire dining experience took us under an hour. The eggs benedict was good, pretty generic and hard to mess up. Their specials looked great and had some very eclectic pancake options, but I was not feeling quite so bold. My favorite part of the Station 5 Grille is their personal connection with the local fire departments. I’m a sucker for firemen, understandably, and found it really nice that the entire restaurant was covered in fire department memorabilia. Several firemen were sitting at a table next to us in between long shifts, and after their server learned of this, their meals were on the house. I have tremendous respect for any establishment that makes such a small gesture to show thanks to the brave men and women who deserve great appreciation.

Terrible terrible food. I ordered an omelet with cheddar, onions, and mushrooms, and ended up with a brown flat mess of over-cooked eggs and welfare cheese. The home fries tasted like they were cooked yesterday and left to soak up the rancid grease they were cooked in before slopping them onto my plate today. I ordered extra crisp bacon, and did receive bacon that was reasonably crisp, but it was nearly all fat, so probably the absolute cheapest bacon you can buy. $ 10 for very poor quality food, of which I ate very little. I would have had better food at McDonald’s.

Great Irish Bennie. Hash was crispy on outside and creamy inside. Just like the hash browns. Cool place with the fire station décor. Great for families. Service was quick and attentive. Only problem was they under-cooked my GF’s eggs.

The place was pretty empty for a Sunday morning and I should have questioned why. When I got my breakfast, parts of it were very hot and others were cold, like it had been microwaved. The mushrooms in my breakfast wrap were very chewy and obviously came right out of a can. Beverages were super expensive for the size cup they came in. My friend and I both couldn’t finish our meals. Definitely will not be returning.

The waitstaff here is incredibly rude. On two occasions I’ve gone there with friends and they’ve treat us like shit. Maybe because we are younger and artsy, where as everyone else is old and fartsy. Either way I won’t be going here again. The food was fine, the coffee was gross, but I can tell you none of us enjoyed the way we were treated and won’t be returning. I’ll give my business to Java Jims– they’re incredible.

Went here on a quiet Thursday morning… Pros Open atmosphere with«fire station» character Friendly and attentive waitstaff Good sized menu and portions Great sausage, eggs, and coffee Cons Slow kitchen(considering it was not busy) Sad looking and burned bacon Barely warm and old looking home fries Dry, somewhat grainy pancakes I think this place has a lot of potential, but the quality of food needs to improve.

Absolutely terrible. The bacon was like 2 week old, cold food taken from the trash. Looked disgusting and tasted worse. The French toast was soggy and basically just egg with some syrup on it. Cash only and not worth it. The only thing slightly edible was the toast, and it was still cold.

Cozy fire station themed spot. Pleasant staff. Delicious breakfast. Kids loved it. Had to wait a bit to be seated because it is so popular, but it was worth it.

I had to wait 30 min to get a table. 10 minutes to order and after 30 min waiting on my food the server comes to me and tells me they out of a omelette breakfast at 10:00 am …

Can’t beat the prices on the early bird specials. Their bacon egg and cheese sandwich is awesome. I got a jalapeño eggs bennie once and it was good. Cold butter is tough to spread on a warm muffin though.

Great breakfast place. In all the years I lived there, I had never been. Well, I was in town for family and decided to drop by for breakfast. Boy, was I not disappointed! Everything was cooked perfect and the pancakes, my God, the pancakes! That is how a pancake should taste: light, fluffy, buttery. Not burnt, not underdone. Aboslutely perfect. The waitstaff was great and friendly. Perhaps a bit on the pricy side, but worth every penny. The dish was so big I didn’t eat again until dinner! You will not be disappointed eating here

I had been to the Station 5 Grille half a dozen times before, each of those times at «breakfast time,» and had always come away pleased … but not blown away. Last Friday, I was in the area around lunchtime, so stopped in at 12:30. I noticed the sign on the door stated they close at 2pm. Maybe the restaurant was 20 — 25% full at best, an hour and a half from closing, with what still looked like a pretty good compliment of staff. I was by myself, so as I went to grab a seat at the counter, I was immediately amazed at how I could barely find a clean counter spot to sit at. Strewn(and used looking) utensils to my right, balled up napkins and dirty plates to my left, sticky syrup from the menu I helped myself to now on both hands. I ordered a Florentine omelette breakfast plate, and the waitress and kitchen did a good job honoring my special requests(light on the cheese, please add some tomatoes), but could not get past how no one cleaned any of the filth from the counter area for the entire 45 minutes or so that I was there. The food was good, just an average portion(they skimped on the home fries), which I’m sure I would have liked better if I had been a little less observant of my surroundings. Maybe just not the time to go, but they were still open, it was lunchtime and there was plenty of staff.

I left this place very unhappy and angry. Not only did we have to wait 25 minutes outside to be seated, but we also had to wait another 25 minutes for our food. Yes, the place was busy but it’s not an excuse. The staff was very jumbled and they seemed to forget what tables were their own. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese. A simple bagel and cream cheese. How do you screw up a bagel you ask? You toast it and let it sit out near a heat source so it gets soggy. And also, their bacon was the greasiest I’ve ever eaten. Not an exaggeration. The grease literally poured down the strip as I picked it up. I can get better quality food at dunkin donuts. And pay less and get more. Not coming back to this place when I’m in town again. Waste of my money and time.

I was so excited to see they had hashbrowns… but sadly, they were not good. they came out crispy, but then oddly soaked with grease! My omelette was over down(see brown picture) and I ordered wheat toast and got this sad, small white toast. The waitresses were nice, but I think the place needs a good cleaning. The pepper shaker stuck to my hand, yikes! P. S. their hollandaise is fake i.e. powder, ick
