My first visit here was Thursday, February 18th. On my way home, I thought it would be a great idea to pick up some deli sandwiches for dinner. Neither my husband or I felt like cooking. When I first walked in, the place was freezing, like an ice box. They had the A/C on full blast. I couldn’t wait to get outside, it was very uncomfortable and I even overheard other customers complaining. From the kids menu, for my daughter, I ordered the turkey and cheese sandwich with Cheetos. For me, I ordered the Sweet Chipotle chicken sandwich and tortilla soup. I ordered my husband the Turkey Ruben with potato salad. First off, the guy who placed my order said my daughter’s sandwich would be grilled, like a grilled turkey cheese, however, it was cold. There was hardly any meat or cheese. They made the sandwich with one slice of bread, cut in half with ½ of a ½ a slice of turkey meat and ½ of a ½ slice of cheese, horribly made, thin bread and hardly meat or cheese. I could have made this sandwich better homemade and for less. The sweet Chipotle sauce in my sandwich was tasty, but, there was NOMEAT. I will attach pictures to prove. Where’s the meat? I paid money for chicken not bread. I ate the three small, thin strips of chicken, and had to throw the rest of the bread away. I have pictures to prove. My husband did not enjoy his sandwich. His sandwich order was my fault because I didn’t read how it was made. I saw Ruben and I automatically assumed it would be a Ruben, but it was not. It’s made with Cole slaw and not sauerkraut. I spent over $ 20 for all this horrible food. We ended up making more food at home because we were still very hungry. This place is terrible, and I will not be returning. I hope the management reads this and makes necessary changes the next time he goes into a meeting with corporate.

I had a terrible experience here a few months ago. Took my friend from Florida there for lunch for a club sandwhich I had ranted and raved about(we love a good club sandwhich) We were both starving and on the verge of a low blood sugar melt down from traveling. We ordered after quite a wait in line and sat down at a table amongst about 10 dirty tables… We are both in the service industry and have rest. managing experience. If you have a send to clean a dirty table you do it because it makes your establishment look bad. We were losing our minds watching what was going on behind the counter while waiting for our food. There was about 8 plates just sitting in the window for all to see, yet no one was running food. I looked around and saw the same dismay on other guests faces. No one was happy. I watched a few young girls in the kitchen stand their and chat while eating in plain sight for every single guest to see. The«bus boy» or whatever they call them there, was wiping the same portion of the counter for about 5 minutes while all of this was going on. Food to be ran, tables to be cleaned and guests to help! The manager had a stressed out look on her face and wasn’t doing anything to manage the staff she had. She was running around saying that people had called in so they were short staffed. Don’t make excuses lady especially when guests can HEARYOU! She did nothing to manage the little employees she did have. We literally sat and watched as it was going up in flames and being in the industry we saw every little thing that needed to be done. Our food finally came and it wAs wrong and the tea tasted like it has been sitting in an urn for days.(I love getting tea there and used to stop JUST to get tea there!) We sent our food back and that was the last straw, we approached the counter and the manager to complain and to kindly ask for a refund. At this point — 15 mins had passed and we felt like we were about to pass out we were so hungry. She gave us attitude and told us she would refund us after arguing with us that the tea was just brewed and said we could keep it. Umm no, we don’t want nasty tea to keep– just give us a refund. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough! Nothing wAs handled well and no apologies were made when we complained. Wrong wrong wrong. I would chose a different location if you really need some McAllisters in your life. Let me know if y’all need a new manager! I can send you my resume! Jk not interested. Hoping someone higher up will see this because I wrote in online via the McAllisters website and never heard back. It must have been that same manager receiving the emails, right?! Of course I didn’t get a response!

This place was absolute chaos. The manager was totally incapable of controlling what was going on in the kitchen. I waited over an hour for my food to come out. When I finally complained, I was told the server couldn’t find my table so they threw the food out! Come on! I had to wait an additional 15 minutes so they could remake my order. 5 other customers had similar problems while I was there. Completely unacceptable.

I’m not sure if there was a change in management or something, but the last two visits I’ve had at this location have both been extremely poor. Both times, my soup was lukewarm, bordering cold. Both times my order was not accurate and/or poorly made(the sandwich looked like it was literally thrown together and cut up and I was given the wrong cookie type) and the drive-thru folks took an incredibly long time to get my order together even though it was placed 30 and 45 minutes before I arrived for pickup(seems like that defeats the purpose of having an order ahead system?).

Great fast service! Called in an order for southwest Cobb salad and was able to drive in and out. Super easy !! All their salads are amazing and large potions.

Aby is the BEST worker at this location. Shes the only reason why I go… true story. I love the cookies here(if they are freshly baked and soft). If they are hard then they’re a bit old and may need 5 – 8 second warm up in Microwave

Ultimate Nachos were very yummy(could’ve used a tiny bit more cheese though: a tad dry). I ordered my daughter’s pizza«light on the cheese» because this place loads on so much cheese, I don’t know how kids don’t choke. It still came with mounds of melted cheese(that always comes off in one clump while taking the first bite). Oh well, we just took most off ourselves. We frequent here and love the food.

Don’t bother trying to go during lunch. Lines are to the door and not enough people working

The food and staff are amazing! They are always checking to make sure your experience is going well with positive attitudes. I had a suggested sandwich that was out of this world, come to think of it I’ve never had anything that my taste buds didn’t dance for here. I will recommend this place to anybody. You can get good food anywhere but the hospitality is something hard to find. A++++

So… the tea was of course, Amazing! I go with half sweet half unsweet and my hubby goes with straight sweet! 5 stars for the tea. My husband had the Spud Max for lunch. It is a giant baked potato that comes loaded with black olives, chives, bacon, butterball turkey, black Forrest ham, sour cream and butter. He is still talking about the taste. His only complaint is that it should be served hotter since it will cool with butter and cream. I had the Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller. The young lady at the register said it was life changing. I disagree. There was hardly any corn. The poblano peppers were few. The Chipotle sauce had no kick at all. I was disappointed.

Always good food, fantastic location and they have a drive thru for those who order ahead. It’s always so busy so I suggest either coming before or after the super lunch rush, if you can.

The young man at the counter was very nice. Then my food came out right when I sat down which was great. The food was awesome. It looked and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful and great for a family lunch or a casual dinner date. The GM was very helpful in maintaining the restaurant and obviously puts forth a lot of effort in running the place. Can’t wait to come back again!

My first visit to this recently opened Mcalisters deli was alright. There is an almost too wide variety of lunch options to pick from, but the«big and nasty roast beef» that I had was really good. Lunch lines are long, so be prepared to wait 8+ min to order. The cashier forgot to give me a number so I waited 15 minutes to be served my order. Also, the prices are closer to Panera than a newly opened deli. Overall good, but I plan on coming here infrequently to keep in budget. They did give me a free drink since it was my first visit.

Just like any other McAlister’s, this one is great all-around! My other half and I were invited to a sneak-peak of this new location in Shavano Park. We scored some complimentary spuds with the works, a variety of soups, salads, wraps, and sandwiches to choose from, some fruit along with many other things including their DELICIOUS sweet peach tea and strawberry lemonade! Highlights of the meal definitely included the chicken tortilla soup and their club sandwich. The salad with chicken, bacon, and honey mustard was also mighty tasty! Everyone was extra cordial(including the GM who’s very personable and super friendly!) and the layout of the restaurant is nice and roomy, very inviting. The large menu at the counter also seemed very quick and easy to read and order from. For those of you who are in a hurry, they’ve got what appeared to be a drive-thru window for telephone/online orders. Aside from my usual location on DeZavala, I think I have found my 2nd favorite McAlister’s Deli and hope to return very soon!
