Really going downhill… went to lunch there and table was gross: sticky, old food on table and lots underneath table. Old food stuck to menus and SLOOOOOOOOW service and tasteless food. Sad.

My husband and I went here today for lunch. It was ok. The table guacamole was good but not great, we asked for extra spicy and it wasn’t. The food was ok nothing to write home about. The service was great though.

Traveling here from California where we have some of the best Mexican food ever. Stopped in here based on its location from my hotel. This had to be the worst Mexican food I have ever ate or at least attempted to because I was so hungry from traveling. I knew I was in trouble from the start when they brought me the chips and salsa which looked to be store bought. The burrito was tasteless and dry served in a paper wrap that gave it a fast food feel. Never again!

Since it’s Cinco de Mayo I felt compelled to grab tacos for the family and tried Tito’s about a year ago and remembered it being pretty good. I’ve driven by this place a number of times and don’t remember ever seeing the parking lot as full as it was today… makes sense I guess. The parking lot was so full that I had to create a spot for my brief run in to grab the to go order. The bar was absolutely packed and most of the people looked like they had taken a half-day(at the very least) to get their party started early! I made my way to the back and my food was just getting done being boxed up. In and out relatively quickly… no chance or room for a quick beer unfortunately! When I got home the food was still hot. I may have snuck a couple of chips during the drive home and they were pretty good. The bbq port tacos were really tasty and the kids enjoyed their tacos and quesadillas. I’ll be back, but hopefully next time there will be space for a beer!

So I used to like this place it was cheap with decent food and service. The last few times the food has been downright bad. Not sure if they have changed cooks. Today my family walked in and we stood at the door for 10 minutes. Only a few people were in the place but nobody came over to seat us. We left. Luckily there is a New Mexican restaurant right down the street Plaza Azteca. It was tremendous !

Tito’s is my go to restaurant. Been eating there about 25 times a year since it opened. It’s very close. Food is consistent. Drinks and beer go down good. Quick take out. Fantastic salsa. Prices have plateaued out after a few jumps five years back. They’ve been amazing to us as costumers and it’s nice that you see a lot of the same people working there for some good runs.

Needed a quick meal, so stopped here on the way to Cumberland with the family. The kiddos got a ‘dilla and a bean and cheese soft taco — they enjoyed them just fine. I got a bean and rice burrito with the salsa/sour cream which was awesome. Partner got a veggie burrito. It was all very delicious and relatively quick. We had both been there before separately and I thought I remembered it being expensive but it was only $ 33 before tip for the 4 of us. Pretty cheap. I’ll be back whenever I’m in the area.

First time here and was expecting authentic Mexican, why from a chain I’m not sure, but that’s far from what we got. The waitress was nice but not really familiar with the menu when asked a question but that didn’t bother us. We ordered Santa Fe Tex mex rolls, chicken tortilla soup, chilli, bandito burrito and shrimp dinner(forgot name) the complementary chips were good but the pint size salsa wasn’t enough even though was good. The rolls were ok but was expecting more, the main dishes were not to our liking either. I ordered a side of guacamole, which was a small tiny cup of avocado not spiced, was not good at all. The rice and black beans looked dry and tasted like from can. The burrito was decent sized but not good. This was a one and done for us. We won’t return especially if you are craving authentic definitely don’t go here!

I first heard about this place at the Unilocal event at hope and main when I tried their excellent chips and salsa that were made onsite. I love Mexican food so went with a small group from work because we had won a contest and were asked where we would like the gift card to, I suggested Titos bc I had been wanting to come here. The décor is fun for a Mexican restaurant and they had plenty of seating as there were no other customers. We sat at a booth, were given chips and salsa which tasted as great as they did at the event. I ordered the shrimp tacos with corn and Mexican rice. We asked for more chips which came about 10min later. We never saw the waitress again for drink refills until our food was ready. Now the food I have to say was excellent, the tacos were amazing, wonderful seasoning. The only reason for this rating is the service, now remember we were the only table in the place and we were on our lunch break. The food took longer to come out than expected but that is not a big deal, the problem was when we were done eating, we sat and waited, and waited for the waitress. After 10min two of the people in the party left bc they needed to get back to work. We waited another 10 min with all of our dirty dishes and still couldn’t see a waitress. I finally found another woman to ask if we could please have the bill, she got it for us, gave it to us to pay and left all of the dirty dishes. My advice, get take out bc the food is amazing but do not eat there unless you have hours to wait.

Delicious food, very friendly staff. Highly recommend the titos bandito burrito. The drinks are also really good as well. I will dive over an hour just to get a burrito from them. Excellent A+++

Came here because I was craving for salsa and chips(I could have gone to chipotle or to Chilangos instead but anyway). I ended up ordering Nachos with chicken. It was okay but I wished there was lesser cheese on it. Just a suggestion, it would be great if they can layer the chips, cheese, meat, etc. first layer should be chips and then add the cheese and other ingredients and then another layer of chips, and so on. It will make the nachos more substantial instead of making it look like you just threw the chips at the bottom then fill up the plate with the rest of ingredients. Service was good though the server was attentive and helpful.

I love the salsa here but can never get enough in the smallest plastic to go cups that it is served in. Serve it in a larger container, please! I had a tower of those by the end of the meal. The tacos are simply delish! We opted for the crunchy and the crunch was there and yet they did not crumble on the first bite. Nachos! Loaded with cheese, beans, sour cream, pico, hold the heat please, big enough to share! No lettuce here. The service was good, the restaurant could use a good cleaning which leads me to the 4 stars rating. This was a Saturday afternoon lunchtime which was not busy but slowly got busier as we ate. I would go back because did I tell you I love their salsa!

I have been very unimpressed with Tito’s. We keep giving them another chance because of the convenience. The last two times we went, my husband and I were treated very rudely by the waitress. The dish was not edible, the chicken had a bizarre texture and flavor, like it was old. It was sent back. We paid for it anyway. How do you mess up Mexican food? I used to like the redfish burrito, but there are enough restaurants that make good salsa now that we can cross them off our list of options.

I’ve driven by Tito’s plenty of times and never really gone in. Then I had the pleasure of meeting an employee at a Unilocal event, and I was enticed to try it out(tasted their house-made salsa and was hooked). I’m glad I did. This is a solid place. The service was above and beyond. Shannon was our waitress and she was just amazing. Each person in my party had not been here before. We all ordered very different things and each one was super amazing! One friend ordered shrimp and I tried one. It was so flavorful and tender! Cooked to perfection. Another friend liked an item on the menu(cod wrap with an orange glaze), but wasn’t keen on having fish. He asked if he could possibly have it with chicken instead, and the kitchen happily obliged. It was BOMBDOTCOMB. I don’t even like chicken all that much, and I would eat that all day. I ordered the steak fajita salad. I’m on a diet, so I wanted to choose something a little lighter. The steak was flavorful, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the dressing was delicious. The free chips and salsa on the table were addictive and yummy. The owner came out to chat with us and see how we liked our food, and we had a lively conversation about Unilocal.I sympathized with some of his grievances and explained how he can respond to them as the owner and show diligence with customer service. He was grateful, as he had no idea, and then came out with a dish he was testing out for us to try: a mango salsa pork chop. Delicious! You can tell that the folks here are really putting themselves completely into this place and love what they’re doing. This is one of those local eateries that I am more than happy to support. We will be back very soon!

So let’s start from the beginning… the service was excellent, the waitress was attentive and helpful. she tried her best to keep us happy, although the food didn’t give us the same effect. i had a mango frozen margarita. it was good but i have had better(at texas roadhouse which isn’t even mexican) honestly. we had the chili with a side jalapeño of cornbread, which was fairly good, it was warm and fresh, although a little bland with flavor. the burrito was meh. the re-friend beans were overpowering and the chicken was slimy. I kind of felt like the food took a long time and the presentation was really good, so i expected to be wowed, but it was unexciting. overall it was bland and i felt like it was«chain» food tasting. i don’t think i will return again but they did give me a free bag of chips and salsa which i will enjoy at home.

In my opinion it’s pretty hard to mess up Mexican food… this is one place that has not figured it out. Everything lacked in quality and for the price I expect a bit more. ie, Fajitas are all pre-wrapped burrito style(no sizzling platter) which is poor. Beans and rice are mush. Margarita is small and full of ice.

I’m sad to see so many negative reviews on my favorite Mexican restaurant. Every time I’ve been to Tito’s I’ve had a good meal, been greeted by friendly staff, and had a great time. I highly recommend their salsa, it is the absolute best anywhere! I think the key is that the use fresh cilantro to make it. They always serve a bottomless bowl of chips and salsa to every table, and I always happily eat it to my hearts content! I highly recommend getting their sangria, it’s really good and it comes by the pitcher if you’re sharing with a group. Tito’s can get pretty busy on the weekends so you may have to wait a while until a table opens up. I really like the window booths, there is more privacy and you almost feel like you’re eating outdoors. The décor is cute and festive and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. It’s a great place to meet friends or for a girls night out.

Oh Tito’s. I don’t think you have gone downhill so much as my tastes have matured over the years. For the past few years we have received a Tito’s gift card for Christmas. Both years it has taken us almost a year to use it. There are just better options. My husband and I were Tito’s groupies back when they first opened in Middletown. My husband used to work across the street for one of the Navy contractors and spent quite a few of his lunch dollars there. Tito’s was always such a treat, considering one of the only other Mexican options at the time was Taco Bell. Our love affair with Tito’s continued when they opened the Seekonk location, much closer to where we lived at the time. But things have changed and Tito’s is no longer the only game in town. We decided to use our gift card from last Christmas last night. First off, I have to say our service was stellar. I LOVE Tito’s salsa and could drink a vat of it. When I professed my love to our waitress, she pretty much brought over a vat of it for me. The chips were warm and crispy. Now I am a guacamole and Mexican rice snob. Tito’s fails on both of them. The guacamole, while tasty, was obviously cut with sour cream or something. It could also use a bit more flavor. The rice here may very well be some of the worst Mexican rice I have ever had. It is always overcooked and mushy. That’s a sin for Mexican rice in my book. We started with one of the specials for an appetizer, the baja shrimp rolls. While tasty enough, there really wasn’t that much shrimp and they were a bit mushy and very well could have been previously frozen. They were also a little bland. I ordered an enchilada special because it came with corn tortillas, which is unusual for Titos. It was OK, but bland and greasy. The beans were super bland and I’ve already told you how I felt about the rice. My husband ordered the special fish tacos, which came with fries and coleslaw. He felt they were adequate, but the fish was basically frozen fish sticks. The fries though were delicious. My margarita was on the sweet side, but adequate. If you are in the area and are looking for a quick Mexican meal and are willing to settle for adequate, by all means stop in. If you have the extra time, take the drive to Fiesta in Somerset or El Mariachi in Taunton for much better Americanized Mexican, or drive to El Rancho Grande in Providence for something a little more authentic.
