First time visit and we loved it! My wife and I have eaten Mexican food all over the place, my all time favorite is in Tijuana. However, I’m not going there anytime soon so we get by where we can. We’ve eaten all over the local area and this place is great. The salsa is different bit very fresh. If you don’t like the orange one they also offer a more traditional colored one that is much hotter. I love them both. The chips are definitely in house made and are served warm, fantastic. My wife and I both had fajitas, not a TON of food, but just the right amount. If your a piggy and looking for quantity over quality this likely isn’t your place. The drinks are out of this world! They are loaded with alcohol; I think a previous reviewer that trashed the drinks is probably more used to the crappy sour mix taste in their margaritas. The El Presidente’s we had were fantastic. Kids meals were FREE on Sunday, very kid friendly! Honestly will come back here again and again! Glad we found it.

Just came back from this place. We’ve seen it before but decided to stop in today. Never heard anything about it. Never Unilocaled it. Went in and we’re greeted by a nice energetic lady. We asked her what the specials were and she rattled off a few popular choices. We ordered house margaritas(3.95 special) and fried burritos. The waitress was super engaging and came off very sincere. We were the only people in here until a family came in. Very slow. The drinks came up very quick. Very good margaritas. Solid. Next time I’m going to try the presidential. The waitress checked in on the drinks. We told her we were happy with them. The burritos came and we were exceptionally pleased with them. I had pork and my gf had chicken. Both were great, good rice and beans in both. Not too overpowering as to ruin pork or chicken. The news were smoked and well cooked. The burrito was crispy and flakey. Solid and fresh guac on the side. $ 29.95 bill for all until we added a to go churro. Super good, chocolate and frosting dipping sauce. Good place on 44. Check it out.

Always feel welcomed when we come in. It’s a super comfortable atmosphere and the food is great. Love that the dishes are made in house with fresh ingredients. Sometimes i even call in orders for take out for the family on my way home from work. I recommend this as a go-to spot.

Great Mexican place, our go to spot now. Very clean, and kid friendly. Chips and salsa are great, as is the guac. Really confused by some of the other low reviews, this place is much more authentic and tasty than other places around. Mole was amazing!!! Must have.

What a lovely little gem of a place, right on Rt44! It’s really a surprise inside, really well done, warm, inviting, immaculate, and cheerful. Flowers, beautiful Mexican ceramic tiles, and wooden cask fountains welcome you. To start, grab a drink at the bar with some chips and guacamole. The salsa is fresh too, not out of a jar, so don’t expect taco bell color and flavor. These guys are doing it right. The owner and wait staff were really friendly and accommodating. I liked the menu options and the drinks.(Made with fresh squeezed juice, not loaded with cheap overpowering margaritas mix.) The food was tasty(we loved the guac!) and although my shrimp diablo could have been spicier, it was really good. My sweetheart’s chicken dish was great too! I suspect this place isn’t packed because another spot opened up down the road near major shopping, and this spot is just a little farther afield. But give this place a try. I hope they stick around. Oh, and they are open late too! :)

Fruit flies, salsa taste like Chef Boyardee! Mentioned fruit flies to waitress, she said they were working on it. Did not stay for dinner! Go down 44 in Seekonk to El Mariachi, never disappoints.

Don tequillas is an excellent Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and the decorations were exceptional. The service was prompt and the server was kind. More importantly the food was delicious. My banderas burrito was beautifully presented with a diagonal cut in the middle and corn tortilla chips sticking out. It had 2 tasty sauces on it, one red and one green. The chicken was cooked perfectly and there was a good mixture of all the ingredients. My girlfriend ordered enchiladas verdes. It was presented decoratively with plenty of rice, beans, guacamole, among other good stuff. Both portions were moderately large and neither of us finished. Overall the food was fairly priced and I don’t have and complaints.

I had a late lunch here with a friend on Saturday. We happened to drive by and said let’s try it! The atmosphere is beautiful! The staff was very attentive and gracious. The Margarita’s were large and delicious, and had many options to choose from. The waitress started us immediately with chips and house salsa which was very good. My friend had chicken taco’s with rice. I chose the steak fajita, and I thought it was excellent. Came sizzling hot with all the fixins. I even had enough for a second portion later on that evening. And it was just as good the second time around. My friend had the flan for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely go back. They have great atmosphere for a date or even a large group.

Smoking hot bartender, but the cooks apparently don’t know what’s going on. Italian sauce on enchiladas and our nachos had no cheese and barely any toppings. Got my order wrong btw on everything…

We had the fish tacos and carne asada Ribeye. The salsa and chips were great! Spanish rice was so moist and yummy! My agave margarita was awesome and a good size. I would come back!

Had lunch(and drinks of course) on a Tuesday afternoon. Because it was slow, my wife and I got to talk to the wife of one of the owner’s, Maria, who was extremely nice. She explained all the work that went into the restaurant and you can tell. I cannot fathom how anyone could give such negative reviews, unless they were expecting the usual«chain» type restaurant, but this is as good as any Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The food was excellent, as were the drinks and service. We will be regular customers.

I love mexican so I was excited to see this restaurant pop up in the long vacant milano’s space. They did a great job with the décor and everything was very cozy and comfortable. We ordered drinks — my wife got the pom margarita and I got the Mojito. The mojito tasted like crap, like they forgot to put an ingredient in it. It was extremely bitter and after a few sips I had to send it back. They made another one and it was the same. Tasted terrible! The margarita was decent so I got that. The waitress was very nice but kept screwing up our order to the point where it got very annoying. I’m not a picky person and I understand people make mistakes but after 4 or 5 times where I was brought the wrong food or she had to come back to ask me what I ordered, I was starting to get annoyed. The food came out and it was good. Different but it was pretty good but doesn’t even come close to the food you’d get in Providence 10 minutes away. Even the taco trucks like Poco Loco destroy this place when it comes to food quality. They skimped on meat with every dish too which is no bueno. My meal had such little amounts of chicken in it, I might as well have not ordered it. It wasn’t cheap either. At the end of the meal they came back and made it look like they were doing us a huge favor by taking off the terrible drinks and the food I didn’t order off the bill! I couldn’t help but laugh. Nice try, Don Tequila, but you have some work to do. I’d be happy to give this place another shot and update my review(again — I understand they are new and are probably working out the kinks) but i’m going to give it 6+ months so they can hopefully get their act together.

We approached our visit here with a bit of trepidation. The reviews thus far have been odd and some suspect. Feeling adventurous we gave it a go. They did a nice job with the inside and we were promptly greeted by Jasmine, who also waited on us. We were quickly given chips and salsa. Chips were warm, which is always a bonus. The salsa was a pale orange color, and was more of a tomato/onion flavor as opposed to the salsa/pepper flavor at some other restaurants. It wasn’t bad though. We ordered the guacamole. I’d give it a pass. While fresh, it was on the blander side. The margaritas were good and my husband said his draft beer was fresh. The manager/owner came by a few times to make sure we were doing OK. The meals were a bit different than some of the other local Mexican spots. I ordered the chicken enchiladas verde. The enchiladas were three tiny corn tortillas rolled tightly with just a little chicken in them. Overall, there wasn’t a lot of chicken in my dish, but it was tasty enough at $ 10.95. My husband’s fajitas were super thinly sliced and also probably a bit less chicken than other places. They also had a soy-like flavor to them. They were OK, but definitely a bit different. Overall not a bad experience and we would visit again, but now with so many other Mexican restaurants in the area, it wouldn’t be our first choice.

Waited eagerly for this restaurant to open, hoping to have a local«go to». Disappointed would be an understatement. The restaurant looks nice, but the food and service were terrible. The Salsa seriously lacked any flavor. Our enchiladas and chicken fajitas were cold and tasteless and our margaritas took forever! Manager/owner appeared to be hanging out at bar with friends. So bad we will not be giving a second chance. Did go to to El Mariachi the following week and were thoroughly and surprisingly impressed(after all it is strangely located in a hotel)!

Stopped in with two friends, staff was working hard but they were not completely organized. Everything got sorted out eventually and we were seated. Overall the place looks cool, but the food was sorely lacking. The staff kept stressing the authentic Mexican cooking and flavors, but my chicken enchiladas with mole sauce was pretty much a disaster. One friend ate his entire burrito, but the shrimp burrito went untouched after a couple of bites. No issue with the staff’s learning curve, but the food is not that great. I’ll be back in town in August and will give it another try.

I’ve driven by this location over a year waiting for it to open. Finally my husband and I went there for dinner. The salsa tasted like they opened a can of diced tomatoes, no flavor. I asked for a Margarita with no salt, I was served a Margarita loaded with salt on the rim. I ordered Mole Enchiladas with flour tortillas, received corn. Our server was very nice and helpful but the owner/manager saw the returns and didn’t bother to come ask what the issue was. Very unprofessional.

Had dinner there. Chips and salsa were yummy, fresh chips, not greasy, and I really liked the salsa. The dinners my husband and I had were very good, sauces very flavorful and more authentic than your americanized tex-mex. The portions are a good size, not huge over the top but the prices well match the plate. Will return.

As the last reviewer, we have watched the construction and been anxiously waiting for them to open. I’ve been twice now. Once for lunch and had the guacamole which was pretty good and the shrimp tacos which were disappointing. They were very uninspired with some bland diced shrimp and cabbage with a few red onions. I had to ask for the sauce which was supposed to come with them which helped but still not so good. We went for dinner as well and were very disappointed. We ordered the Queso and a quesadilla to start. Queso was a solid chunk of white cheese floating in an unappealing yellowish broth and came with two flour tortillas. We weren’t sure what to even do with it or how to try to eat it. We were expecting some sort of dip for the chips. The quesadilla was very plain, just flour tortilla and a bit of cheese with fries. We thought the fries were strange. Again it seemed uninspired. We both ordered enchiladas, one mole and one suizas. Both came with chicken and we found both to be pretty much inedible. The staff seemed unorganized and a bit unprofessional. The manager seemed to be drinking tequila at the bar and not paying much attention to what was going on. We realize they just opened and really hope they will try to improve as we would like to see them succeed. It will be awhile before I’ll go back and then will just try lunch again.
