CLOSED — 1 star because I can’t give zero. This is for continuing to sell gift certificates 1 month before they closed, it would have been nice to let people know you were closing in a month, either so they wouldn’t buy the gift cards or so people with them could redeem them. No sign on the door when they closed or message on their answering machine either. Just closed up shop out of nowhere. I did email owner saying I had two gift certificates that I had just received a month prior for baby shower gifts and she just said she would «keep people posted». Right.

Came here as a birthday treat from my mom years ago.
It’s a very relaxing spa that really puts your mind at ease
The massages here are top notch. I enjoyed mine, but I can’t honestly say I have ever not enjoyed a massage!
The prices are expensive but if you looking for a good gift or just a day to treat yo self than look no farther

Wonderful service and amazingly quality mineral baths. Very nice aesthetics. I have been there several times and the massage therapists have ALL been very good. Try the combo bath and hour massage — I was in heaven!

I’m on my wife’s profile but wanted to give a great review for a great massage. I used the gift certificate I got for my birthday in July and was greeted by Sarah. She made me tea and got me a warm pillow for my neck. Then Tera, my MT, came and got me and brought me to the room. I had a great hour long massage and am still feeling great while writing this!

I get a massage once a month every month for over four years. I just moved to California and hated the idea of finding somewhere new to go. A friend of mine said look no further, just come to mermaids with me. So I did. It is 30 minutes and three towns away but then I met Gina and now I know why we go there. Gina is the breath and soul of the place and I feel relaxed as soon as I get there. You have to get there early so you can sit with your tea and neck wrap then on to your service. I got the bath which will loosen all of your muscles so you can fully enjoy your massage. I have not had the same person twice but always get really great massages. Gina makes everyone give her a massage and if the pass Gina’s test they pass mine. When you go to dinner do you just get an entrée or do you enjoy the whole experience? Go to mermaids and get the whole experience!

We just had the most wonderful experience at Mermaid’s Spa. I was treating my sister as a birthday gift and looking for someplace new to try in wine country. We chose a package with one of their signature aroma baths and a massage. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted with heated lavender scented neck pillows and tea while we perused the menu of bath options.
Now, I’m not one of those women who are really into long soaking bath experiences in general, so I was really focused on the massage portion and thinking the bath would just be a warm up to prep me for a relaxing massage. Was I wrong! What a great experience… I’m led into a lovely room with soft lighting, candles, and a big jetted tub. I chose the seaweed muscle soothing bath, and as the bubbles start rising from the jets, long strands of seaweed swirl around me — so wonderful — I couldn’t help smiling under my cooling head towel as I lay there.
Then things only got better, the massage was absolutely wonderful! Relaxing, but she also really got in there to attack the knots in my shoulders (and I had some serious knots going on!). Everyone there was so sweet and did everything possible to make it a great experience. Thank you Mermaid Spa! We’ll definitely be back.

I’m really spoiled. Since I went on my first cruise when I was about…13? I’ve been getting massages regularly. As an adult, I try to get a massage at least once a month, preferably twice, depending on how busy I am. Many times, I go to Mermaids. In the at least 4 years I’ve been going here, I’ve never had a bad massage.
The owner, Gina, is super incredibly friendly, and has a very soothing and relaxing demeanor. You begin with a calming hot tea and warm buckwheat and lavender neck wrap, then off to the massage rooms! There are a plethora of wonderful choices to pick from, including aroma therapy massage, hydrotherapy, sauna treatments, hot stone massage, detoxifying body wraps. exfoliating scrubs, and really great couples packages.
The place is totally spotless, and all the therapists are exceptional. I really appreciate that they only contract with knowledgeable and practiced therapists, and even though it’s rare that I’ve had the same therapist twice, everyone is just as capable and excellent as the rest.
They even offer a local’s discount! My favorite part is that they’re located in a great part of town, I usually do a bit of shopping at Rosemary’s garden, get a massage, and then go to Infusions to get some nibbles or Screaming Mimi’s for ice cream.
My only drawback is sometimes it’s hard to find parking, and Sebastopol has some crazy one way streets, so getting turned around can take you awhile to find your way back. All in all however, this place is the bee’s knees!

I don’t go to spas much, but now that my baby is 10 months I really needed it! I got the coconut silky oat bath, which was heavenly. The room was spotless, the music relaxing (not cheesy) and it came with fancy seaweed face scrub and lavender ice water to cool my face off. The massage was also just right. Gina is super nice and chill, as well as professional. I’ll come back next time I’m in the area!

Super friendly, and convienient, with a range of massage styles available. My husband and I like deep and they have some strong masseuses. Very relaxing from the moment you arrive (tea and neck warmers) until you leave (reasonable prices). Clean and with soothing music.

I love Mermaids. It is the only place I know that I will consistently have an excellent massage every single time I make an appointment. Not once have I been disappointed.
Consistency is what keeps me coming back. I talked to Gina, the owner, who explained that Mermaids requires all of their massage therapists to have the same training and certification. I have had many different massage therapists there, and all have been amazing. Cindy is probably my favorite, but if she isn’t working I will take any practitioner.
The spa is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Right in downtown Sebastopol on bustling Main Street, you’d think it would be loud. Mermaids must have done some major sound-​proofing because I can never hear anything. I always leave thoroughly relaxed and happy that I made time for myself. Also, at $ 85 for an hour massage, it is one of the better values in the area.

Over the years I have had almost every treatment available. Great atmosphere, friendy knowledgeable staff. My favorite package is the Seaweed Wrap, Mineral Bath and Massage.

I am a spa connoisseur and I LOVE mermaids spa. It is my go-​to, old faithful. You can’t beat the value. Exceptional treatments and a great price. I love the set up, it is detail oriented and very pretty, but still relaxed and casual.

This place was great! Three friends and I, two men, two women, wanted a really nice spa day on our trip to wine country and we found Merimaids Spa on the internet.
The place is small (three treatment room) and spotless. The prices were very good compared to those in the area. I had a mineral bath, a massage and a facial, all fantastic. Each room had a jacuzzi and massage bench. They really pay attention to details.
Gina the owner is wonderful! She really knows how to talk to you and help you decide what you want to good.
The place was top quality, if you are in wine country, stop by, you will be glad you did!

Get the color bath and a massage and you will be in heaven! Gina the owner, is an amazing person, she will intuit what is needed to create the perfect blissful experience for you! I love the seaweed baths, and all of her massage therapists are first class!
