Vivian’s Clip Joint

Where has Vivian gone? I would still be getting hair cuts from her if she told us where she moved to.

Vivian is the owner operator of this little salon. I appreciated her attention to detail and her warm personality. It’s not a posh classy place but you will get great cut, which is really what matters, right?

Needing a quick trim and an eyebrow wax for cheap, but not wanting to risk a terribly experience, I, of course, consulted Unilocal!I’m glad I did, because I ended up getting everything I needed. The place was a little small and quiet, but Vivian was really nice and down to earth. She did a very good job on my trim. However, she referred me to the nail salon next door for the waxing. Maybe this was because it was about half an hour before she closed. Either way, I followed her advice and they did a really good job, I was just a bit put off by this. I was overall happy with the experience, but I probably wouldn’t go back.
As a side note, if you’re driving north on 15^th, there is a teeny little parking lot right next door to her place. I recommend parking there rather than searching for parking around the block like I did!

Vivian was a joy. I called about an hour before I needed to come in, she was ready to cut the moment I arrived. I just needed a trim and that’s what she did. She checked with me a number of time during the cut to be sure its what I wanted. JUST PERFECT!!! THANKS, see you in 6 months!

My husband goes here all the time to get his hair cut and loves Vivian. She consistently does a good job — he’s always happy with the cut. I just starting taking our 4 year old daughter there and was very please with the job they did. They have a booster for their chair and of course lollipops are always appreciated. ;-) They charge $ 12.00 for kids cuts (10 yrs and under). The place is nothing fancy, but it is just fine.
Parking is available in the back of the building.

I love going in and hanging out with Vivian. I get my brows waxed there, and she is amazing. So, I don’t go as often as I should (say no more) and she is always so patient and kind. She spends a ton of time making sure that my brows are just right, and her prices are so affordable.

After a disappointing (and long) run at the Greenwood DMV, I was a bit crestfallen. Not to mention decked out in some hopelessly dark roots and a mop of unruly hair that needed some serious TLC. But where in Seattle could I tame my locks and not break the bank? I saw the sign.
Vivian’s sign, I mean. On my way down 15^th, there it was. Haircuts $ 16. That was all I needed to know. Once inside, I was met by a happy stylist (Vivian) and two grandma-​types decked out in tight rollers, sitting beneath a dryer. Oops. Was this the kind of place where I could get an actual style? I mean, one that was modern and fun?
The answer: yes! Vivian gives a fantastic haircut, and she even agreed to color it for me. Even the most frou-​frou of salons has trouble with my hair, and when the color didn’t come out exactly right, Viv put some toner on and never stopped being cheerful, even when we ran way past her shop’s closing time. I mean WAY over. She told me to come back next week if I’m not happy with it and she’ll fix it.
