The working mans coffee shop. Cheap, efficient, friendly. I always see local dock workers and firefighters enjoying a cup of coffee here. The staff are friendly and they always seem to be watching some Netflix movie or local sports game on the television by the barista bar. They have comfy couches and tables for you to stay and relax or work and their wifi is reliable. $ 5 for a 24oz latte is a deal around here!

Rico Mocha is the best mocha I’ve had in Seattle and I’ve tried a bunch of coffee shops. Not too sweet, little bit of spice, just awesome. The space is surprisingly bigger than it looks and it’s got an awesome vibe. We will be back!

Coffee was fine but I was very disappointed in the rude service(neither a hello or thank you) and the 7Eleven style microwaved breakfast sandwich. Seriously, a place known for having good sandwiches could do better.

Great little coffee shop — coffee is ok but atmosphere is great. Sweet art hanging up and once when I stopped by I got to meet«Henry». Yea you know — the too cool Seattle artist. Nice place. Great walk along the canal and you can by some art too.

Was looking for a place to bang out some work in between client visits and stumbled on this place. Great location, atmosphere, friendly staff/fellow customers — some with their«service» dogs. The drip coffee was good too! I think I’m a regular now.

This place has the most amazing lunch sandwiches! I have to come once a week at least for my white coffee latte and turkey-veggie sandwich.

I love this place. Awesome space for working, relaxing, socializing, or for in an in-and-out cup of whatever. The women who work here are very friendly(to everyone, sometimes to their detriment…), and remember most, if not everyone. The owner/manager is in seemingly every day and works alongside everyone else. You can get sandwiches, drinks in any size you can think of, and cooled beverages here. I was even offered a few slices of the owner’s personal stash of gluten free bread so I could try one of their sandwiches. I almost always get an enormous hot cider, because it’s good and giant and cheap: D They have lots of regulars who flow through throughout the day, giving the atmosphere of a cozy, hometown meeting place. And the bar is often more like a BAR then an espresso bar, which I think is cool. Everyone’s chill and knows one another. I think they’re one of the best cafés in Seattle.

You have ruined me for Starbucks! Coffee from other shops fall flat now. Rachel and Nicole brighten my morning every day. And my daughter loves the kid hot chocolate the best here. Henry art on the walls, good coffee, reused furniture and a quirky garden– this is the ultimate Seattle coffee experience.

Best coffee shop in Seattle by far. This is in the top 3 coffee shops I have ever been to in the US. The people are amazing and so is the coffee. This place doesn’t have the jerk baristas that are too good for you. They treat you well, and all without the attitude. Whether you are on your laptop or just grabbing a cup, this place wins as the best place to go in Seattle for coffee and friendliness.

How have I missed this little gem of a coffee shop?! I frequently pass by driving from Fremont to Ballard but never stopped in until yesterday. They were quick with the service and very friendly, even though I wasn’t a regular and everyone else seemed to be. The coffee they use is delicious(Dillanos) one of the best I have ever had, very rich and smooth. They also carried some pastries and sandwiches(which I did not try). Their prices are definitely reasonable, they have some parking and the shop is good sized inside; I will definitely keep coming!

Above and beyond, every time. The second time(second time!) I drove through, the barista remembered my order from the last visit. The coffee makes me feel refreshed and focused. It is well worth the drive for me!

I’ve lived in Fremont almost 3 years so I noticed when the location moved closer to Leary. On my walk to the bus stop I decided to check it out. I was surprised at how large the sit down area is. The inside was clean and I wished I didn’t have to work so I could enjoy a cup of iced coffee. I ordered a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was just what I was looking for, delicious basic and reasonably priced. They also sell non dairy smoothies which I thought was cool. The baristas had tasteful tattoos, and were friendly. I would definitely go there again. We need to support the non Starbucks cafés.

Checked this place out for the first time this morning, as I work just a few blocks away. Service was great. Coffe was great. Breakfast sando was great. I also really liked the setup of the interior. Very laid back casual. Will probably be stopping by more for coffee on my way to work.

I recently moved to the Fremont area, and have been trying to find a good coffee place that is not Starbucks. Every time I get coffee from here the ladies that work here are always extremely friendly, and do a great job. This is seriously some of the best lattes I’ve had in a while. They are always fast, courteous, and friendly. I’ve frequented so much that they have my «usual’ ready for me by the time I pull up to the drive through window. And considering I get two flavor shots, and a milk alternative, the prices are very reasonable. Also, they’re breakfast sandwiches and baked goods are wonderful. I definitely recommend giving them a try!

I am very disappointed by the unprofessional encounter I had tonight. I was walking around Fremont on my way to a friend’s place, looking for an open coffee shop that wasn’t Starbucks. Anyway, I got all the way inside, up to the counter, only to be told that they are having a party and closed at 5:00. There was not one thing that indicated they might be having a party and be closed — no signs, no hours posted, no chairs up, nothing. In fact, the place had several people in it, the music was on, there were what appeared to be patrons sitting around drinking coffee and reading newspapers, and several people behind the counter who clearly worked there. The door was wide open when I walked in. It’s not like I walked into a clearly closed establishment or even that they just hadn’t had a chance to lock the doors yet. It’s fine for a business to have a private party for staff — but you should indicate to potential customers, in some way, that you are closed at this time! When I said that if they are closed, they should have some kind of sign indicating that they are closed for a staff party or lock the door, the person telling me they were closed, the girl at the counter just shrugged and offered no apology. They really, truly looked open. There was nothing at all that indicated they were closed. It’s a shame, because I was interested in trying their chai options, but I will never try coming here again. If I walk by again, I’ll just assume that people behind the counters and people standing and sitting around drinking coffee and an open door means they’re closed.
