Came here on a whim to meet up with some friends and was impressed with the ambiance. Laid back and friendly bartender/server, host wasn’t as friendly but not rude. We had a slight mishap on one of our dishes and the chef(not the Asian guy, may be a new chef) came to our table and not only apologized in person but also comped and remade the dish and then continued to bring 3 of their most amazing dishes free of charge. It wasn’t so much the free food, but the fact that the chef came over to the table himself to apologize instead of sending the server back with a fixed dish. They packed the bones from our bone marrow dish for my dog with a big smile and that pretty much won me over(even tho I forgot the bag…). I would definitely come here again and recommend the place.

The only thing almost right with the meal was the chinese doughnut cannoli(which is really more like fried dough than donut). That was tasty, but the rest of the food was MEH and service was almost rude. Two stars is being generous. The best that can be said of the evening… I liked the simple décor. We had a 8:30 reservation on a weekend night and arrived on time, but felt like we were being rushed out the door the entire(short) evening. At before 9:30, we thought the kitchen was closed because it’s an open kitchen and it looked like the staff had already packed everything away well before 9:30. Our initial waiter also disappeared by this time and another staff told us that the kitchen was not actually closed yet. Also, the servers kept trying to take away our plates before we were done eating or drinking, the entire evening. We had to tell them several times that we were not done eating. The most efficient thing about the evening was getting our check — they brought that very quickly. Everyone seemed really keen to go home by like 9:15/9:30 ish. As for the food and drink, the menu was mediocre and execution subpar. I’d describe it as Asian inspired but rather lacking in flavor(or just not quite right). Of the dishes I remember… The kfc while somewhat crispy was sweet but lacking in heat. To call it Korean is an insult to real Korean fried chicken. The veggie medley they brought around contained a mash of some sort that was too bitter and contained too much Szechuan pepper. The«pickled» veggies in it didn’t taste pickled to me. The farro was fine though somewhat bland and had a lot of water in it. The duck confit fried rice was much too salty. I probably would have liked this dish if it wasn’t so salty. The bone marrow could have used a touch of salt — it was bland and paired with a rather sweet toast. All I could taste was the sweet toast.

Been driving by this place forever but never saw much parking. When I saw a spot tonight I stopped and ventured in on my own. Sat at the bar and the service was impeccable. I described some flavors I liked to the bartender and he created one of the best drinks I’ve ever had on the spot. Amazing. Ordered the ssam hangar steak and got some of the dim sum offerings. A cured fish(salmon??) with little chunks of pear and a feta cream was yummy — almost a creamy texture on the fish. I’d call that one the best, but all were interesting and tasty. Staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return!

We had reservations for a Tuesday night and arrived early. The place was pretty much empty. We were seated right away at a tiny table for two. I get a little turned off when that happens when the restaurant is empty because I tend to order a lot of food and would prefer more space. I guess I could have said something, but I shouldn’t have to. It was happy hour so we went with the KFC and petite ssam with hangar steak that were on the HH menu. In addition, we ordered the hamachi, steak tartare, and duck confit. We didn’t want to order too much because the server told us that they would come around with random offerings every once in awhile, dim sum style, so we wanted to save some room. Before any of our dishes came, a server came around with a tray with a cabbage salad with Chinese doughnut«croutons». It was basically a very bland cole slaw and three pieces of Chinese doughnut. This ended up being the only«dim sum» item that came around that night. What a disappointment. I guess business was way too slow for them to offer more. And to make matters worse, the server did not take away our empty plates even when he delivered our food. We had three empty plates on the table at one point, half of them hanging off the table because we just did not have enough room to fit everything. The best dish of the night was probably the duck confit. Great flavors and I liked the inclusion of mushrooms. The hamachi was good too, but totally overpriced for 4 pieces way smaller than you’d get at ANY sushi restaurant, even a conveyor belt place. The accompanying avocado mousse was tasty. It was very Latin-fusion-y with the jalapeño, avocado, and lime. The steak tartare was delicious — very creamy and I enjoyed the hint of sweetness. The hangar steak in the petite ssam was very tender and lightly seasoned. The dish came with perilla but it must not have been very fresh because it was so bland and tasteless. The Korean Fried Chicken wings were big whole wings. Sweet, salty, and topped with sunflower seeds(I liked that). The batter and the sauce were very thick. The batter could have been crunchier and I don’t know what happened to the spice(nonexistent). We definitely enjoyed the food but were let down by the service and the lack of experience we thought we would get while dining at Tray Kitchen. Perhaps we will try again on a busier night, but probably not.

Great surprise! They offer dishes in trays that you can get when they come by. Don’t underestimate these small dishes. They are not on the menu~ the spare ribs are the best. Personally, I think they taste better than the KFC wings. They have three kinds of sauce that you can add. The Korean one taste really good. Marshmallow dessert is a must try. Goes good with the cocktails. Great vibe, great service. Good for 4−6people groups. If you are around the neighborhood. Be sure to stop by~

The concept is a little complicated and there are definitely things to figure out — especially since as the night progresses and the waiters have to ask if you’ve already seen certain trays. I really could have been ok with the trays and not the a la cart menu, since we were full and the trays continued to be new and delicious looking things! As a vegan, they were very accommodating and most of the tray items were or could be prepared vegan! But regardless of them being vegan, the dishes were inventive and delicious takes on ways to prepare vegetables and I highly recommend trying it out!

We been here a couple of times and love it every time. Their dishes are truly innovative and super flavorful and changes pretty often. It’s definitely an Asian fusion place with some very authentic ingredients, I was quite impressed by how the chef incorporated in the fermented tofu with black beans and ginger to make this amazing dressing for a blanched green beans dish(I loved it so much I attempted to replicate at home, which turned out great) If you love Asian food but wants a bit more flare and fun, Tray is the place. My suggestions are don’t get everything right away because you may not have room for their entrees that seems to come out after 5 – 6 rounds after all their appetizers, salads, vegetables dishes, all great but you will run out of room. We came the first time during happy hour and ordered a bunch of dishes from there,(must have their skewers and wings from the HH menu) But by the time the entrees dishes came around, we were stuffed that we couldn’t even try it. Second time was a much more successful as we were pacing ourselves. They are also dog friendly so it’s great to come here with our little dog and sit on the patio.

Believe me when I say that I really wanted to like Tray Kitchen. Americanised dim sum with fusion food that’s brought around in trays instead of carts? Count me in to give that a shot. Add to that a bright, airy, tastefully decorated space in Fremont that houses the restaurant, and you’d think you have the makings of a fine evening. Alas, no. Trays are sporadic. We got five or six veggie/leafy trays in a row, followed by one with meat. Why? Everyone else in the restaurant had already grabbed the good meat stuff. Grr. That essentially ruined the experience for us as we’d see trays of meat get devoured by the table beside us, much to our dismay. The veggie trays are also fairly sparse in their portions for the $ 6 – 7 price tag they carry. I was also pretty disappointed with the«fusion» in the food, as a lot of the stuff just seemed kind of confused. At the end of our meal, we paid just over $ 20 a person since we arrived during happy hour and took advantage of the cheap meat skewers. I will give the skewers a shoutout since they’re tender, delicious, and what kept me from being hangry for the next two hours(I was nowhere near full when I left the restaurant). However, next time, I will just go get real dim sum – cheaper, more filling, and I’m guaranteed to not be offered kale for three dishes in a row.

I know this is annoying, but I’d say this is more of a 2.5 rating but rounding up to 3 stars. I’m probably not the best person to try a restaurant that is kitschy(dim sum concept) featuring Asian fusion food, as I am not a fan of fusion food. I want either Korean or new American done well. However, my friend requested coming here for her birthday dinner, so I went to check it out with her. Kudos to a very nice space in the Fremont neighborhood, and they offer all day happy hour on Sundays. The actual menu is limited, and what they want you to do is order some food but then partake in the dishes that come out offered on trays(hence dim sum-style) that have been freshly made in the kitchen. It’s kind of hard to know what to order when you don’t know what else is going to be offered throughout your meal… but I guess that is the fun of it? From the menu, four of us shared Korean Fried Chicken wings, Painted Hills hanger steak and LA Style short ribs. Now, my husband and I are Korean-American, so I can pretty much guarantee we’re going to be tougher judges on Korean-fusion food. The wings are super breaded, which seems to be in line with K.F.C. wings in this area, unfortunately. The beef dishes were fine, and a decent portion size for the happy hour prices. From the trays, we sampled the following: bean sprouts with spicy pork belly, green bean salad salmon tartare with wasabi crème fraîche, honey roasted carrots, Korean spicy-glazed ribs. The standout, believe it or not, was the roasted swiss chard that accompanied the ribs — if I could’ve ordered a huge plate of just the swiss chard, I would have. My husband enjoyed the bean sprouts and pork belly dish so much, he wants to try making it at home. We ended the meal with roasted bone marrow and crostini — that was probably the highlight of my meal other than the swiss chard. It spread on the crostini like butter, and it was delicious. I had to laugh when I read another review stating the servers bringing out tray seemed like you’re letting them down if you decline what they are offering. Totally!

My friends and I came here for the first time for SRW. The atmosphere and their dishes are very cute and nice. The menu is interesting, fusion of American and Asian(Korean and Japanese). The food tastes basically ok, but not impressive. We tried Japanese curry w/rice cake, duck confit fri d rice, spare ribs, and korean spears rib Ssam for entrée. A lot of foods were sweet side, both entrée and dessert. Japanese curry was definitely NOT real Japanese curry bcz it was too sweet from coconut cream. The portion side was good, though. The idea of new style dim sum was interesting, but the servers didn’t look happy when we said«no thank you» to their plates. Will we be back there? Maybe, but not soon… Apple Pay was a plus for Open Table to leave there quickly.

We had a reservation for 7:15, but arrived early so we were shuffled to the bar to wait while our table opened up. Server came up and asked for our drink and food order. We tell her we’re waiting for our table to open up and don’t want to order food. Also asked the server if they carried Tito’s and she assured us they did. Cosmo for me, vodka soda w/lemon & lime for Zac. 15 min later, the same server asked us if we would like something to drink. Zac — «You took our drink order 15 min ago.» Server — blank stare…“oh, sorry. So what would you like?” We repeat our order and continue you wait. 5 min later, the server comes back and notifies us they don’t have Tito’s. We ask her if she has non-flavored Hangar and she says she doesn’t know. We tell her that we’ll do unflavored Hangar if they have it. Another 10 min later the bartender brings us our drinks. Zac’s drink comes out with lime but no lemon. He tells the bartender that he ordered lemon AND lime. Then the bartender takes the lime off of Zac’s drink and then Zac goes, «No, I wanted the lime too» and the bartender tries to put the lime back on the drink after he’s been holding it in his palm. WTF. Then he says he’ll go get lemon & lime. After he leaves the server comes back and asks what we would like to eat. After we notify her AGAIN that she already asked us and we told her we were waiting for our table, all she says is «oh, sorry» and walks away. Umm… she must be high AF right now. Then we wait some more since the bartender still hadn’t brought Zac his lemon & lime. We turn to look and the bartender is making other people’s drinks. I’m sorry, but if you mess up a customer’s drink, your first action should be to correct it immediately. 7:25 and our table is finally available. Shouldn’t it be ready at the reserved time??? Worst introduction to a new restaurant. EVER. On to the food… Our table server brought out a complementary dish to compensate for the bar incident, which was nice. It was kimchi cauliflower with bleu cheese. It was a lot better than I expected. Grilled Macrina Sourdough, whipped Kimchi butter: Very good. The butter didn’t really taste like kimchi, but the bread was fantastic. Fresh Plum & Burrata Salad– Pickled jalapeño, micro greens, mint, pickled cherry, sea salt: Loved it. All components married well. Probably my favorite part of the meal. K.F.C(Korean Fried Chicken wings) — Sunflower seeds, Korean chili sauce: Mediocre at best. One of the wings had a blood clot, which Zac bit into. Gross! Grilled Hanger Steak SSAM– Bulgogi marinated, cucumber kimchi, grilled squash, lettuce, bowl of rice: It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. It didn’t really taste like it had been marinated though as there was no hint of bulgogi. I wish that they had asked how I wanted the steak cooked as it was too rare for my taste. The bottom layer of lettuce was soaked in blood. LA style Beef Short Ribs SSAM– Kalbi marinated, daikon kimchi, grilled shishito pepper, lettuce, bowl of rice: The flavor was good but they didn’t rinse the meat. There were bone shavings. Chinese Doughnut Cannoli with Citrus Cream: The Chinese donut was perfect and the chocolate on the ends was a nice touch, however the cream was more like a hard cream cheese consistency. Ginger Crème Brûlée: This by far was the most disappointing dish. The first one they brought out was liquid under the caramelized surface, like completely liquid. The server took it back right away and gave me a new one, but the second one still hadn’t set completely so it was very runny like an egg yolk. It was a shame actually, since the flavor was very good. 3.0 stars for the food. 0 stars for bar service. 4 stars for table service. I’d say 2.5 stars over all because of the shitty service We will not be coming back.

Wow! Our new favorite Seattle restaurant. The beautiful food is brought around on trays dim sum style so you can see what it looks like before deciding if you would like it. Everything is so beautiful and tastes equally fabulous. Vegetables are fresh and creatively prepared, bursting with flavor. The short ribs were fabulous — gooey, spicy and meaty. There is also a list of menu items that you can order in addition to the dim sum offerings. We will definitely go again. Service was top notch, food was top notch, and the price was extremely reasonable. Just go! It’s really fun to go with four or more people to share all of the delightful dishes.

I came here on a lovely warm summer evening with a friend and we sat out on the patio for our meal. I loved the look and layout of the restaurant. It reminded me of Revel with the open kitchen counter as well as the small table and chairs set up. We were just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour. Tray Kitchen has a modern day«dim sum» concept. They have trays with dishes that are like appetizers ranging from $ 5-$ 10. I was not impressed with the selections especially at the prices they were charging. Most of the dishes I saw were small salads, veggies dishes, and some fish. There was one meat dish with pork belly and bean sprouts but it did not look appetizing. The only thing we got was a cauliflower in sriracha sauce with a blue cheese crema. Honestly, it just tasted like sriracha. I only ever saw $ 5 trays, not sure what a $ 10 would look like. I felt bad saying no so many times because none of the dishes intrigued me. We ended ordering the Korean Fried Chicken(KFC) from the HH menu. You get 2 wings for $ 7. It was tasty but I don’t think it was worth $ 7. We also ordered some entrée items. The entrée menu is pretty small. There were more drink options than food options. We ordered the Short Rib Wraps. It was good but it was a pain to remove the bones and then wrap the meat. My favorite dish was the duck confit fried rice. We ordered a large which was about $ 24 but the bowl was very small. Not worth it price wise for me. The flavors were very good and it had a salted soy sauce egg yolk that added a lot of texture and flavor to the dish. Unfortunately we dug into this before I could get a picture. It comes in a little cast iron bowl, so the rice is a bit hard and crunchy, which is my favorite! It was a nice experience and it was fun to try but I don’t think I’ll be coming back here for dinner. I may check out brunch since I saw a lot of congee pictures but I never actually saw it on the menu or on the trays, so I’m assuming it’s a brunch item. It’s easy to rack up the bill here but since there were only a few things we liked it came out to be about $ 25 per person between 2 people. Not terrible but I could’ve gotten a lot more and a lot fuller for $ 25 somewhere else.

I’m not too impressed with my overall experience at Tray Kitchen yesterday. First of all, the waiters are really nice, but not the owner/manager. When my husband and I walked up to the door, one of the waiters welcomed us and told us to come in and he’ll be with us soon. We went in and waited. Another guy(I think the owner or manager) said he would get us seated. Oddly though, he left us there and just helped other people behind us and started to completely ignore us. The previous waiter came back and seated us next to the window. Later on my husband went up to that same owner/manager guy to ask for utensils but he completely ignored him, looking the other way. Our waiter saw that my husband had a question and helped us. Perhaps the owner/manager guy is racist? I don’t know. But, seriously, that guy gives off a very pretentious vibe. Second of all, I agree with a few other Unilocalers that the dim sum style serving(where they go around with carts/trays and you pick items off the carts/tray) does not work for this restaurant. It works for typical Chinese dim sum restaurants because the dim sum items are the same pretty much wherever you go: chicken feet, pork dumplings, pot stickers, clams, Chinese broccoli, etc. etc. We don’t know what this restaurant has. There’s no menu to show what dim sum dishes they have. You just have to wait around until something good comes along, which isn’t often. A new tray comes around about every 15 minutes, but they kept coming around with kale salad and shaved asparagus. The one time they came around with ribs, my husband and I got excited to see something that wasn’t salad. Being next to the window was a huge disadvantage. The trays would start on the other side of the room, so by the time they made it to our table, all the good stuff was gone. The food is okay. The shrimp with broccoli was my favorite. The sauce was perfect, broccoli was soft with some crunch, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The pork belly and bean sprouts dish was good but a little bland. The brussel sprouts cessar with chinese doughnut was mediocre. The ribs tasted like old meat slathered in sauce. The Korean Fried Chicken has a really good sauce but the meat on the wings were flavorless. So you would get a nice flavor blast with your initial bite and then it becomes flavorless. We wrapped up dinner with a $ 50 bill after being discriminated/ignored by the owner/manager guy, having to wait a long time between trays, eating such small portions, and left feeling hungry. We went to Frelard Pizza Company next door for a slice of pizza to fill us up. If you want to check it out, go for it. I think you would have a better experience elsewhere or go to an actual dim sum place where carts and trays are constantly going around, they always have plenty of food for everyone at the restaurant, they’ll have a menu so you’ll know what will be served so you can wait for those dishes to come around, and you can actually leave the restaurant full after spending $ 50.

I came for Sunday brunch expecting the dim sum style but much to my dissapointment, they weren’t serving it. There was a cute tray cart with some congee toppings but that was about it. The farro bowl I ordered had kale, mushrooms and ricotta cheese and it was the most bizarre sauce I had ever tasted. It wasn’t bad… it was just strange. The closest thing I could use to describe it was hummus mashed with ricotta cheese? The bowl wasn’t super filling. It didn’t seem super Asian or Korean flavor-wise but it was ok. The décor of this spot is super cute. I love the open kitchen but I’m totally scratching my head as to what’s going on with the food here.

WOW I can’t convey how happy I was with our meal last night. I’m so glad to have finally had the chance to try out Tray Kitchen. It was completely worth it. I’ll start with the food, which is the most important part. I am forcing myself to write this review a day after our meal so that the dishes we ended up ordering(there is no menu for most of the dishes, they just walk around with trays dim sum style) would be fresh in my mind. However, many of the dishes were familiar to me since I spent some time studying the previous Unilocal reviews right before dining here. My absolute favorite was the rice cakes with grilled octopus. We both opined that we would get two more if given the opportunity(but alas, this dish did not make its way back around to us). The rice cakes were the perfect amount of chewiness with a slight char to add some crispy texture. The octopus was sublimely prepared, perfectly tender. It was all completely submersed in this wonderful sauce. The sauce, OH the sauce. I don’t know Korean chili pastes by name, but it was the same flavor as the chili paste Koreans usually use to mix into plain rice. Oh my, it was so amazing. I found myself dipping the Brussels Sprouts salad into the sauce that was leftover on my plate, not wanting to waste any bit of that sauce! My next two favorite(it was a tie) were the crispy pork belly salad and the shrimp sauteed with broccoli in a Thai vinaigrette. You know me and pork belly. The server had only needed to utter the words«pork belly» when I proclaimed«YES!» to the dish. The pork belly was nicely prepared with the right amount of crispiness while keeping the meat still tender. I can’t remember what kind of salad it was with… I vaguely recall grapefruit and orange, but my focus was on the bellaaaay. The shrimp and broccoli were so flavorful, with a nice acidic tang. My only criticism there was that the broccoli was slightly overcooked. What else… there were lots of dishes. Third favorite was the smoked salmon with minced apple pear. It was a simple dish with three slices of salmon, but the salmon was fantastic. We had a few salad type dishes, like the chinese doughnuts with brussels sprouts caesar salad(the doughnut added a nice crunchy texture to the salad and was creative, but otherwise just okay). The pan roasted brussels sprouts were pretty good too, a similar flavor with hip tang like the shrimp. The kung pao sweet breads(they use cow brain) was pretty good but a little too spicy(and I have a high spice tolerance). The only items we ordered off the A La Carte menu were the KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) and the Chinese Doughnut Cannoli. For some reason, the KFC took FOREVER to get to us. We got the half order(3 wings). The wings aren’t cut so each«wing» includes the drummette and the actual wing. It was messy, and came at the end of the meal, so we took our time using fork and knife to cut into it. The flavor was great, but the meat itself wasn’t seasoned. The breading was really thick and crunchy(like kettle chips). It was good, and I’m glad I tried it, but probably won’t order it again. We took the dessert home, having stuffed ourselves a little too full. Regardless, I wanted to try that chinese doughnut cannoli because I’ve never come across such thing and didn’t want to pass up the opportunity! It was really good, and I liked the shell much better than regular cannoli because it is so much lighter. The space here is very cute and modern, and the restaurant is slapped right into the middle of an industrial area. There is no parking so you’ll have to find some on the street(wasn’t too bad for a Sunday evening). You don’t get a dedicated server. Everyone there tag teams to help you, including the bartender. I loved it here and am looking forward to a future visit.

Delicious goodness and great service! They serve small plates in a dim-sum style. The servers bring trays of food and explain the dishes. You can decide what you like. They also have a main course menu to order some of the heavier entres. Majority of the menu is dim-sum style though. Went over on a saturday and got lucky since they had a last minute cancelation. Will be sure to make a reservation next time though. We ordered the KFC, duck confit fried rice, octopus with rice cakes,(forget the fish name) mousse and curried carrots with yogurt dressing. Everything was super delicious. I personally prefer small plates so I can sample more dishes. So this was a perfect arrangement for me. Highly recommended. I did not try to cocktails or dessert but heard they are great as well. Next time, I will be ordering chai crème brûlée that sounds amazing but we were simply too full for it.

A group of four friends and I came here for brunch after morning Easter service. We hadn’t decided on where to eat yet, so we got on OpenTable to find available places nearby. We decided on Tray Kitchen in Fremont since it had good reviews on Unilocal and there was an available reservation within 15 minutes! Pay attention on your way there because it can be easily missed. It is in somewhat of an industrial area in Fremont and the sign is not overtly obvious. Google Maps is your navigation friend. When we arrived, that’s when I discovered it was an Asian fusion place; I assumed it was American. The hostess gave us the brunch menu, which is only one page, which made it easy. There are at least two additional pages for wine and cocktails after the brunch menu. We ordered the KFC(Korean Fried Chicken), the Dutch baby pancake, the off-menu French toast, and the new spring seasonal lamb hash. All delicious! However, the portions could have been bigger. I ate again after about 3 hours because I was not full from brunch! But overall it was a pleasant Easter brunch. If I were to come again, then I’d try the loco moco. Also kinda wish there were more Hawaii representation. Would’ve loved something with spam. Tip: They take American Express. Yay! They do not split checks, but they can split the bill by the number of cards they get from the table. Fun fact: Even though the kitchen is open and visible from every table, you don’t end up smelling like food. It is one of my biggest pet peeves to smell like the food from the restaurant I went to, so I appreciated this aspect of Tray Kitchen. The ventilation must be excellent!

This is a cute little place between the Fremont/Ballard area that has a friendly vibe to the place. The food concept is pretty neat too, a new take on Korean comfort foods or familiar foods I’d say. I went there at brunch time and ordered the K.F.C.(Korean Fried Chicken) rice bowl and really liked the dish. At first it was a bit smaller than I imagined, especially for the pricing, but it was pretty filling. I loved the fried egg on top and the kimchi cucumbers added a nice layer of flavor and crunch. I liked the open kitchen so you can see the work that goes into your dishes. I’d definitely go again to try the dinner out but I probably wouldn’t try the congee bar out – its about $ 13 for congee which is overpriced, even with additions of condiments and other ingredients and since I can get it cheaper closer to home(and even at home for that fact) I don’t think i’ll ever try theirs. Everything else on the menu I’m pretty open too. The parking lot in is extra small, but there is plenty of street parking. I went around at 1pm on a Saturday and surprisingly it wasn’t busy at that time. For more pictures and a more in-depth review, check out my blog post here:

This place definitely adds some variety into the typical brunch rotations in my arsenal, and everything was really fantastic. We came in on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but not packed, and we sat down right away. The atmosphere inside is modern. Very high ceilings, a simple seating area, and a direct view into the kitchen. They were also playing some delightfully tacky 80s tunes during our visit, which I enjoyed. We went with a congee bowl, the farro/kale/mushroom bowl, and a dutch baby to share. I really can’t think of a negative thing to say about any of these dishes — everything was so good. One very fun/unique aspect of this place is there fixins bar. When you get a congee bowl, they have a cart with a variety of different toppings and sauces to customize the flavor of your bowl. My favorite thing here was the jalapeño relish. Put into the congee bowl, it added a little bit of heat and a little bit of sweetness. It was seriously awesome, and I’d buy a jar just to have at my house. I couldn’t decide what dish was my favorite. I loved the texture of the farro bowl, but the congee with all the different toppings added was really excellent as well. I’ll definitely be coming back!
