Not the best of experiences. A group of fairly drunk middle aged women dancing to anything and tried to pull me off my barstool whilst I was waiting for the drink I had ordered literally 10mins before. It was a Friday night, it wasn’t busy, the music was too loud and the service was indifferent. Several people left after being ignored at the bar. Pros: the beer eventually arrived and was cold and only $ 6. Cons: staff, clientele and overall atmosphere. Go if you have to.

We stopped by here for a bachelorette Party in the city. It was our last stop of the night, so we were all feeling pretty good at this point. When we first walked in, I did consider walking right back out because it seemed a little dingy and quiet(it was a Thursday night). But we stayed and it actually turned out kind of fun. They have a juke box that I took control over, and the bartender was really nice. We did spill a drink and asked for a rag right away, but it didn’t get to us for a precious few minutes. Note that the drink was an Irish Carbomb and it was slowly fermenting on my friends jeans. A little slow, a little unfriendly at first, but overall a pretty good experience!

Have you ever found a no-frills place that, for reasons indescribable, you immediately decide you love? That’s me with Blarney Stone. The kitchen does a great job on the food and the revolving tap selection is always well-priced, but I think I mostly just like its unassuming nature and the clientele. It’s a chill little Irish pub.

Sometimes the best kept secrets are right under your nose! My team and I chanced upon The Blarney Stone after a quick search on Unilocal for some St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Located across Pike Place Market on First, the Blarney Stone is exactly what you’d imagine — a local watering hole with a friendly staff and fully stocked bar. Like most pubs on St. Patrick’s Day, it was pretty busy by lunchtime and we were lucky to grab a table. Maybe someone called in sick, but I was kind of surprised they didn’t have more people on staff that day. Props to the pair that held down the fort — thanks for keeping a smile on your faces even though the pub was swamped! I was most surprised, though, with how great everything tasted! Their menu isn’t the most extravagant, but everyone left satisfied and with a full stomach. We tried the: –Kilkenny Beer Cheese Soup — Who would’ve thought that beer and cheese would make such a great combo?! Honestly, I’d come back solely for this and their grilled bread. I’d recommend going for a cup paired with the Reuben sandwich! –Reuben Sandwich — This is not a small lunch! My coworkers ended up splitting this sandwich with cups of soup, and could barely finish it all. –Bangers and Mash — This dish comes with two of Uli’s Famous sausages with a generous helping of mashed potatoes. While Uli’s sausage is tasty in general, I’d say that the gravy definitely made this dish. –Corned Beef & Cabbages — My first time trying corned beef and cabbage, but definitely not my last! The corned beef was very tender and well-seasoned, with just the right level of saltiness. I actually loved the cabbage — I thought it had a sweeter taste(and I now understand why it pairs so well with the corned beef, haha. ;)) St. Patrick’s Day or not, I’d definitely come back to The Blarney Stone Pub. While the corned beef and cabbage is a bit on the heavier side, I’d recommend a cup of the cheese soup with a salad or sandwich for a tasty weekday lunch. They even have a few seats outside for when it gets nicer! :)

I’ve only been here twice, however the service and the food both times has been absolutely excellent. The first time we ordered bangers and mash and it was so delicious. The second time we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the sausage roll and we were speechless. Gourmet food for sure. We love coming here and we will definitely be back!

Well I can’t give this place zero stars because it won’t let me but… Damn this place sucks. It was not even closed and they were kicking people out and turning lights off because the bartenders were tired. Both bartenders were being so disrespectful and yelling at us to «down our drinks» and get the f out. Never coming back. EVER. DONOTEVERCOMEHEREUNLESSYOUWANTTOBETREATEDLIKEAN A**HOLE.

Was downtown visiting my bro who was in town from Carolina. We were at a couple of establishments up in WL mall area watching NFL playoffs and decided to come here for something different. Was very impressed with my fav Irish fare– Bangers and Mash! Since I was the only one hungry can’t give you anymore but the beer was fresh and good atmosphere. I will be back.

Ordered the Shepard’s Pie, it was fantastic. It was cooked very well, there was just a bit of crunch and really hit the spot. Size of the meal was good and the prices are on par.

Dive Bar? Yeah. Great Bartenders & Service? FORSURE! Looking for a local pub to hit on the way from the Pike Market to my hotel 5 blocks away, I popped in this so called«Dive Bar», and«YESITIS!». If it were not for«Kristen,» I would have probably turned tailed and headed for a more«Commercial Style Establishment.» Kristen, and the Gentleman working along with her, made me feel at home, and want to stay! Unfortunately, my date and I had just eaten, and I just went there for drinks, so food wasn’t an option. The staff said that their food is very good. Next time I will find out, however, the service, as well as the patrons were all very friendly. The Blarney stone has many beers on tap, as well as bottled beers. If you’re looking for a «Dress Down,» «Economical» place to enjoy a cold beer, and not break your wallet, this is your place! I will be back! Thanks for the fun! Chef Gary Curry

Meh not impressed. The server, Jay, was nothing special and refused to give us our Unilocal check in offer even though he closed us out before asking if we were done because«he was leaving». Despite that service problem, I would still give it 3 stars. The food is decent and well priced. Their house chips are worth getting and if you like sour cream dip add that on for an extra dollar. Pulled pork sliders were good too and big portions. The bar had about 10 people in it during a Sunday afternoon when there is football on which I was surprised about. I thought there would be more people. They have red zone on their side tvs without sound and a regular game on their main big tv. A good selection of beer on tap although it was more expensive than other beer we had in the area. I think if you locals have a better bar to watch football in, I would just go there.

A step away from Pikes Place Market. Has the look and feel of a local pub. Good beers on tap, good drinks, good food. This is a place you should stop by while in Seattle, relax from the busy day and enjoy a cold beer

Great dive bar near Pike Place market. Great beer selection and less than a block away from Pikes. It’s pretty easy to get a table and the food here is really good. I’ve had the cheese bread and the hummus and would recommend both!

They had a sign that said somethings like«Guys, let the ladies shop, we have beers here!» So I moved my delicate lady gams and got a beer elsewhere.

Escape the crowd at Pike Place Market and have a drink at this pub! Great service, sporting events on the television & a great Irish Pub traditional menu for reasonable prices! 14 beers on tap and full bar to meet your adult beverage needs! I came here after riding the $ 15 Ferris Wheel at the Waterfront for a Cider to calm my nerves. Oh, and On Wednesdays, they have karaōke!

Two things I try in every town I visit. 1.) Pizza 2.) Irish pubs. The staff(and regular) was very nice, but the music was god awful. I don’t expect to hear the Cheiftans, Pogues, or Dubliners at an Irish pub, as when I was in Ireland most of them played 90s rock, but I also don’t expect to hear dance music at high decibels in the middle of the day. In a touristy area. Enjoyed a Guinness and a Jameson, but then went else ware. Had to go outside to get away from horrible music, and then got to enjoy the local homeless people… May be better at night, but I’d say go else were for your afternoon delight.

A decent place away from the madness of the pike place. We made a short stop here right before dinner at Japonessa to have a drink. The staff was pretty cool, laid-back and nice. There was a Unilocal deal with which you would get $ 3 off of your second beer. The beer was ok, the choices were not wild, but taking the deal into account, I was pleased with our choice. We did not order food as we were headed to another destination and I cannot comment on that. Wednesday nights are apparently Karaōke night. The place was not that crowded. Liked the music playlist. Parking can be a hassle.

Based on the cool bartender and the awesome selection of Irish whiskies. This is a good chill spot away from the madness of the Pike Place market. I did not get to eat, but other people looked happy with their meals. Will be a definite stop from now on.

I didn’t plan on coming here one Friday for Happy Hour, but I am sure glad I did. Great food, great drink selection, great HH prices, great music– this is what awesome looks like. Service– Quick, friendly, and accurate! We were greeted promptly and had our food and drinks fast. My husband and I totally rocked their Unilocal Offer. Drinks– Tasty and good prices. I always love a place with Smithwicks on tap! I really liked their wide selection of Irish beers and cider. Ambiance– Great music with good variety and the place is your classic Irish bar with a divey feel. Everything was very clean, but it still had that«two people wearing plaid totally had a fight here» feel. I can’t wait to go back for round two here!

Wow! Found this place on The Stranger’s Cocktail Compass app when we were looking a last minute happy hour spot on a Friday night. In short, very glad we did. We pretty much hit the almost jackpot!!! First, we got in and the tap list was very nice for an irish pub. I got a hard cider(it was a dry cider) and it went down so smooth that I had to get another in short order. :-) Bonus: by checking here, so get a Unilocal deal for your second beer or wine for $ 3. This bonus really made it a good deal as my normal pint was $ 6.50. SCORE! Second, we got the these delicious potato things off of the HH menu… really, all potatoes should come like this. Baked goodness mashed up with cheese and bacon and slapped back on top the potato. Slap a side of ranch, and you’re gettin it done! Yum yum! Finally, the only(very minor) downside and why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because when we got there, all the tables are very close to the bar and I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to go to the bar and order or not. Someone eventually came to wait on us(and she was VERY nice) but it took awhile. I will definitely be back!

Staff was really cool, so plus on star for that. Beer was OK, cold at least. And by beer I mean Guinness. Food, not so good. The same filling in the mushrooms was used in the sausage roll. Just kinda boring overall. I guess this place moved from a few blocks over and just trying to get their shine back. Yeah good luck with that folks.

The night I stopped by The Blarney Stone Pub, a newer establishment in downtown Seattle, I wrote a brief Tip about my experience. However, allow me to elaborate a bit with further details. Within only a very short time of sitting down at the bar and ordering a drink(beer selections weren’t extensive, but workable and affordable), I witnessed the following random things: — A guy whole-heartedly attempting to karaōke sing and rap Warren G’s «Regulate.» — Two drunk sisters from L.A. enjoying their first night in Seattle, who made it known they were in town to attend their friend’s wedding the next day.(The louder/older of the two DIDNOT approve of the upcoming nuptials!) — An impromptu dance-off(please keep in mind it was karaōke music) between two patrons; one black, one white. You already know who won that quick«battle.» — A staggering drunk/bum waving a five dollar bill and inquiring what he could purchase with it(as if he really NEEDED anything more). The bartender served him a crappy, light beer and then promptly denied him any additional service. After all of this in such a short amount of time, I wasn’t sure if I should jump up and run for my life or set-up shop here for the rest of the night. However, I enjoyed my one drink and then was on my way. Although I didn’t eat here or notice anything exceptional about the bar itself(minus the service), the unexpected entertainment value alone made it worth a visit this night. 3.5 Stars
