The food was great, the draft beer selection was nice. The décor is a little bit outdated but who cares if the food is great! Look at my pictures.

We’ve only been here once and it wasn’t super crowded… The live music was wonderful, and the food was delicious — but our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed– so I’d only give this 4 stars… I don’t think it was her fault, I just think they could have used a little more help. Edited to add a photo :)

Came in for a beer with a friend. Ordered two beers(16 oz) and the bill was $ 15. Not a great first impression. Went next door to Alstadt and had a blast. Will be giving it an other shot eventually but definitely not in any hurry.

Best Old Fashioned ever. Enough said. Food is also very good, but that’s just a bonus. Thursday afternoon for a non-native that’s here for a visit. Quiet and relaxing, comfortable interior with rich wood and a warn feel.

We went there for drinks last night and the place was packed, super fun atmosphere, live music, we really enjoyed the ambiance. Only complaint, our server seemed like he’d rather commit suicide than serve our table. I don’t know that I’ll be back based on his zombie like/shitty attitude.

As far as Irish bars go, look no further! All of the imports you are looking for and an extensive whiskey menu! The food is always on point because it is made fresh daily. This is my favorite spot downtown, the décor is lovely and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Came here with a large group of co-workers for happy hour. We made a reservation so we had an area all to ourselves. While we only had one waitress taking care of us, she was quick and got everyone’s order right. The happy hour drink prices are reasonable, but I like scotch whiskey. While they have a very good selection, the prices are a bit steep. The happy hour food was pretty good.

This place was really cool. Food was good, as expected. Ambiance is cool and interesting. So, with all that out of the way, I have to say what really made my meal memorable was Sinead. Oh. My. Goodness. She is hilarious! She is such a treasure. I laughed so much from her antics. She was so great, I can’t rave enough about her. I may just have to come back!

My wife and I stopped in here after our underground tour for a quick lunch. Paid street or garage parking is available. Discover is an accepted form of payment. From the outside this place didn’t look like it would be busy at all. Upon entering, we were both surprised to see it actually packed inside. We were lucky enough to get the very last table available in the bar. Several TV’s are located in the bar. Patrons were boisterous and appeared to be having fun. We each ordered a couple pints. Myself a Smithwicks for $ 7. My wife a Manny’s for $ 5.50. For starters we ordered a side of Guinness cheddar bread for $ 1.95. This bread is dense and served cold. Tasty morsel. We shared the Fish & Chips(dinner portion — qty 2 pieces) for $ 17.95: wild-caught cod with crispy chips(similar to joe joe’s), tartar sauce and coleslaw. The fish was hot and not at all greasy. The batter was salty and yummy. I loved the coleslaw(horseradish slaw). The joe joe’s were plump and satisfying. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Thank you Fado satisfying our hunger after a day of playing in Seattle.

We drank lots of Jameson here and the foods are OK. The décor is, I guess, rusty. The standard fish-and-chips and corn beef are, well, standard. I don’t mind coming in for a drink with friends, but it won’t be a destination either.

Not used to having to pay the high prices. Work hard for my money. 650 a shot and seven dollars for a Guinness, is just not in my market. So that was the first and last time I will visit this establishment.

This is my kind of pub. They have Guinness on tap(of course) and a solid selection of whiskey. The fish and chips are solid and the slaw is kicking! They often have soccer on TV and it is a great place to visit during happy hour. I have always had great service and good recommendations from staff! I don’t travel downtown often, but love to pop by whenever I get a chance!

Food is good, but definitely not the driving motivation for the Fado experience. I am hugely impressed with the number of people and rowdy atmosphere Thursday-Saturday. But it’s quiet and empty when not a clear party night. Lots of great beer and euro themed festivities. Anytime a premier league game is happening, Fado will show it and help you party like you’re there.

We just had our end-of-year company party at Fado and it was awesome! We reserved a private area/room for, get this, NO minimum requirement. Virginia and Brendan helped us get all set up and took any/all requests we had plus got our food selections all ordered and brought out throughout the night according to our recommendations. Great food(those mushrooms OMG)! We had to order more in fact because we ate it all– next time, I will definitely order more up front. Eric was our server and he was on point! Our crew can hold their own with booze and we was on top of making sure none of us went thirsty and all stayed happy. The night turned out to be an overall success! Eric– you are truly a saint, thank you! I recently planned my 30th birthday and wish I could go back in time to have it at Fado; great spot, live music that resulted in some late night dancing, friendly staff, not too crowded, insanely reasonable as far as Seattle private area space goes. Hopefully Fado will have us all back in the future if ever we need an other party space because I have been hearing nothing but positive feedback from all my coworkers!

This is a great spot for happy hours! Their tacos are delicious and other food deals are quite a bargain. HH goes until 7 which is awesome. There were lots of different events going on which is neat because you can reserve space for up to 100 it seemed like. Service is pretty fast except I ordered fries one time and it never came.

This was my#1 checkin, loved this place for years until on the night before a big game they declared that they were a Steelers bar! Not okay, you are in Seattle and made a local uncomfortable in a place where I always felt comfortable. I will never come back or recommend, too bad. Know your audience and go Hawks!

One of the better places in Seattle to see a show(much better than Crocodile for instance). Good rotating variety of live music, so check their calendar to see the upcoming schedule for something you might be interested in. Drink options are pretty standard, not surprisingly with a focus on darker spirits. I didn’t eat during my visit, but as the name would suggest, expect to see several Irish staples.

After a lukewarm attempt at damage control post my previous review I never heard back from management. So don’t be fooled by the message from a representative. They never followed up. *Response to their updated comment on 5÷18÷15 I have never changed any settings on what private messages I receive. I am putting this here because businesses are rarely accountable over PM.

I went here for happy hour with my coworkers and was really impressed with the place! We had a large group and our waitress was attentive. The fish tacos were delicious, and I am very picky about my fish! I had some bbq guiness wings that were also really tasty. If I ever want to grab a drink with friends and are in the downtown area, I will definitely suggest this place!

I’m all about surprises, and spinning the wheel for a prize. When I’m offered a chance to order their«mystery» beer, I’m up for the game. But things turned sour for me when the beer in the brown paper bag turned out to be… MILLER…yes. At an Irish bar?! Minus 1 star right there!!! Happy Hour eats: pork belly taco. Very few bits of pork belly but delicious until you encounter bitter shredded red cabbage. The fish and chips saved the day. Battered fish was fresh and not greasy. Loved the steak fries too. Ask for malt vinegar if you want a change from the ketchup and tartar sauce. Service: good. Restrooms: only if you have to!!!

We stopped into Fado for a nightcap before heading back to our hotel. We took a seat at the bar. The bartender who greeted us was very welcoming, while ordering she mentioned that they had a orange ginger beer to mix with my bulliet bourbon. That combination a total win and she was great. My guy ordered a guiness as he usually does in a Irish Pub and ordered a shot of Irish Whiskey as well. We both enjoyed our cocktails, but left after the first round. The music in the background was pleasant, but not all of the patrons were. It was not too crowded, but very loud with drunk and yelling patrons. When we saw a customer nodding off thier seat at the end of the bar, we knew it was time to go.

Trivia night(Wednesdays at 6:30) pulls in a good crowd, and the prizes are among the best in the area. HH specials served till 7 are OK, but HH food and drink menu needs to be rotated every once in a while to give the regulars more reasons to come back. Scene is pretty much what you would expect in Seattle, ranging from beer drinkers, cider sippers, and occasionally someone who brings a laptop into the bar. Will return.

I don’t think the servers are«rude and snobby,» but they aren’t friendly either. No biggie though; we got what we asked for fairly promptly. I’d describe the servers as «functional.» I ordered a Bloody Mary and an Irish breakfast sandwich to start. The drink was tasty, and the sandwich was nothing special. It had plenty of insides – egg, sausage, etc – but needed a sauce or something to make it less dry, and to pull it together as more than just a pile of proteins between bread. They got extremely busy, as it was Hawks game day. Despite the unholy masses that filled this large and charismatic place, the waitresses kept the drinks coming. As that’s mainly what folks are looking for in an Irish bar, it’s tough to complain about a boring sandwich or less-than-chummy staff. I’d come back, and try something different.

I have been to other Fado’s before and this one is every bit as cozy and inviting as its brothers have been. I was here with a large group of people from four different meet-up groups for an ugly holiday sweater party. The waitresses/bartenders albeit busy, were always moving and doing it with a smile. I met a friend here, who came from her office holiday party that started early in the day, so she needed sustenance. I was curious about the food at this location as well so we ordered fish tacos, chicken tenders and potato wedges, and some queso that came with latke/pita-ish flat triangles perfect for dipping. Standard bar fare, but everything came out hot and fast. Drink specials were great — nothing like hot buttered rum for some of Seattle’s coldest nights!
