I learned about sandylew last year after my cousin happened upon the shop while staying downtown for my daughter’s wedding. My cousin knew that it was a place I would love and I do! I have been back 3 or 4 times and each time the helpful sales clerks find me great looks. They carry such unique clothing lines and I can always find something stylish and flattering! They carry Comfy USA, a great basics brand with occasional out of the box looks, lauren vidal(great pant/leggings), sun kim(edgier look), staples and some brands made in Germany and Israel that are really soft and always get me compliments. You won’t be disappointed you stopped in. It is right by Pike Place Market and I always park in the lot just to the north on 1st Ave bc it is so close and easy to get in and out of.

Typically I do not like shopping for clothes. I was thrilled to discover this little boutique while visiting Seattle. Sandy and her wonderful staff manage to find so many outfits that fit perfectly and make me look fantastic. I’m constantly asked by people where I got the clothes I wear from Sandy’s shop. Sandy not only helped with clothes but also provided great advice to help me with my arthritic fingers. She went out of her way by giving me finger wraps which actually do really help. She also makes and sells fabulous jewelry. It is always a treat to visit her store. Seattle tourism should add her to their list as this has become one reason I visit!

I entered Sandylew boutique completely by accident. Arrived to Seattle winter of 2010, was strolling along numerous doors of shops on 1 st avenue, signing to myself nice but not Manhattan. Then between Pike and Union streets I opened the door to Sandylew and immediately was struck by what was inside on a display. It was a bit of everything; most attractive scarves and gloves, artfully displayed in glass cabinets pieces of jewelry. But most of all those avant-garde looking clothing. Those pieces came from all around the world, executed by well known names in business and by young and rapidly growing in fame and sales designers. Being new to Seattle I didn’t know Sandy herself was a well known jewelry designer. But she is much more than that. Those pieces of clothing that came from around the world were hand picked by Sandy. She travels a lot, she goes to numerous fashion shows, not only in CA, New York, but Turkey and France too. It takes a lot of caring to bring the best to Seattle. We her customers are very grateful to have Sandy and her very loyal and incredibly helpful sales people here in Seattle.

Lovely store and amazing clothes. Reasonable prices. Now, I just need to lose 50 lbs so I don’t embarrass myself when I buy something other than hats there.

Heading to a meeting downtown, I found myself running 10 mins early. Perfect! Just enough time to pop into this adorable shop I’d passed and see what was in store. Literally. This cute little boutique is perfect for a gift. Little knit scarves, hats, mittens, and shawls were on display. I also noticed jewelry, purses, belts and various accessories by the register and hanging from racks. You can find pretty much anything here ranging from heavy coats to rings and wallets. Though I spotted a lot of cute items, most everything was for mature women. I’d say the demographic is really between 40 – 60 though there could really be something for any age here. If you want a cute local souvenir from a trip, consider buying something here. It’s right near The Market but nothing is emblazoned with a tacky space needle or the word Seattle scrawled all over it. Definitely an easy spot to kill 10 minutes in. I was tempted by a number of cute things. Especially eh scarves and hats!

I love Sandylew, the store lives up to its motto: having fun getting dressed! It’s no coincidence that it’s located near Seattle Art Museum because the clothing is wearable art. And Sandylew herself is a hoot and a half, I’d like to have her sharing her opinion as I get ready each morning.

I echo what«S. Alicia S.» said exactly. The only thing I would add is that the owner and her assistant will really and truly help you find the right item or outfit. If they can’t make it work they’ll unselfishly point you toward other boutiques. And that’s fantastic.
