I want to like this café as its close to my house but I will walk the extra steps to freshy’s. Each visit to admiral has resulted in staff appearing confused. You can order your coffee and a muffin and the muffin is long gone before the coffee is ready. At Freshys if you have to wait for your coffee the staff will carry over to your table.

Such an amazing place! I’ll just go on about a few things that i love, the staff is so nice and sweet! They always make me and my toddler feel welcome and there are chalkboard tables and kids books to keep them busy while you wait for the awesome waffles you will hopefully order! If your not feeling breakfast perhaps a delicious sandwich and a local beer is more your style! A great place to meet an old friend over some wine/beer/coffee of even just a place to get away and relax with beverage and watch the people pass by.

Great staff, friendly local place — really interesting coffee flavors, lots of non-dairy milk options, vegan and gluten free food available. Fun atmosphere and great place to hang out if you need to get stuff with wifi access. Highly recommend spending your money here and supporting local community.

Yum! Tasty delicious! Great chai teas, great food, all good! Although I have to say, I had a waitress a while back who was grumpy, rude, seems like she burned the milk in my tea, just not great. Had short dark hair and a lazy eye. Avoid her if possible. But other than that, so great!

Bright and sunny(even in the winter!) this corner coffee joint surprisingly had great grub when I tried it yesterday. Staff was nice, too. The coffee was the most memorable part. Freakishly good. Had a coconut chilled coffee I can’t stop thinking about.

I really wanted to like this place but I don’t think I will ever go back. The coffee was good and it came in a cute mason jars. The food was a different story. Ordered a greasy pickled sandwich, did i mention lots of onions. Not very tasty and I couldn’t finish it. I also had some scrambled eggs topped with cold cheese. I would have liked the cheese melted but I’m not sure if thats the way they intend it to be served. The interior is charming and the service was good, but the food and sub-par in my opinion.

Not«Gluten Free» as advertised in the local flyer. More accurate would be «Gluten Friendly option available». Also, as a vegetarian, I could taste the meat grease on my food. Unexpected, is all. More importantly, please advertise«Gluten Friendly option available». Otherwise, place is a really cool neighborhood feel and nice staff.

Admiral Bird West Seattle This lovely little spot is so inviting and cozy. The food is wonderful, the people are even more wonderful. Found myself stranded without bus fare and no debit card to get cash. Mary Anne wanted to pay it forward and dug up $ 2.50 for my sorry butt. She saved my broken feet from a long walk home. Just because she was a sweet person. That’s who takes care of you at Admiral Bird. Sweet people who care! And great food.

This is a great little place. The service is friendly and the atmosphere has a whimsical style to it. I went in during when there lunch menu was up and tried the turkey with cranberry sandwich which was served on croissant bread. It was delicious! The turkey meat did not taste like any ordinary one you will get at a deli. It really tastes soft and tender. Similar to how it does on thanksgiving fresh out of the oven. I do no like dry meat and tend to go for dark meats. I don’t think this was dark however it maintained the softness and moisture of one. Also the cranberry sauce on the bottom added a nice sweet tangy-ness to the flavor. The mocha was great as well and the barista even offered to add more mocha to it if it was not enough. I would have liked worked on my laptop here however their wireless was down. But other than that I definitely recommend!

This is one of the best coffee shops in the Admiral Junction. The layout and décor are nice and it definitely has a good neighborhood vibe. Lots of choices between breakfast snacks and a nice rotating tap list. Great little spot.

I love it here. Not many places left where you can refill your own coffee and just hang out, then order food when you’re ready. Cool atmosphere, awesome food, a small but good number if beers and ciders on tap. It’s my favorite place on Sundays.

Good coffee and other options in a great neighborhood location. Pick up some flowers while you are here. Built in florist!

I’ve been to this corner café many times now, and I have enjoyed my food, drink, and the atmosphere each time. I have never had unfriendly service like some of the other reviewers. Quite the opposite. Everyone behind the counter has been extremely friendly. The food is really good! However, I base this comment on the breakfast items alone. I have not eaten lunch here yet. The breakfast tacos rock my world though. The espressos are also excellent. Best coffee in the Admiral Junction neighborhood IMO. Overall, a really nice coffee/café spot.

Love their breakfast sandy, however the surly girl at the counter who never smiles makes me want to go somewhere else. She acts like she is mad to be there. This morning, my order came to $ 7.13. I gave her a ten, and she said, «thirteen cents». She said nothing else; I told her I didn’t have 13 cents. She just looked at me and my friend had to dig out the 13 cents change. What’s up with the attitude?!

Great Lattes! Eclectic organic coffee shop with some great deals for beers on tap served in mason jars & a fresh flower shop in back. It’s comfortable with a laid back music and beach town feel. A clean, tasty cookies and compostable straws kinda place. I’m a fan of The Admiral Bird for a great cup of coffee and a tasty 80 cent cookie.

I LOVE this place! They’ve created a really great neighborhood vibe. The coffee drinks are great(including their Nutella latte) and I’m really impressed by their breakfast offerings. They have a breakfast salad, which is arugula and lots of yummy things on top with one egg over quinoa. Unexpected, healthy, and really tasty! The décor is really cute — thoughtful and every detail attended to. Just tried their waffles that they serve on the weekends — so good! I’m not a big waffle fan, but I am of theirs! Very happy to have this place in my neighborhood. They serve alcoholic drinks too, including mimosas. Yay!

Great café at the Admiral Junction. The coffee is good and the breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Not much of a menu, but they focus on what they can do well. The dutch babies are also worth a try.

The Admiral Bird has tasty coffee(Raven’s Brew), delicious local pastries(I had their lemon curd cheese brioche… nom!), handmade(in house) chai, friendly service, cute décor, and great prices for the value. I love the space they share with Flower Lab, which I had never been in until yesterday(I was in Admiral and developed a hankering for a latte). It’s a really sweet, relaxing space– not overly perfumed with flowers(thank goodness, or my allergies would have killed me), and it feels very airy with the amount of natural light, and the colors in the space. This is a small café(4 or 5 tables), so perfect for getting together with a girlfriend to chat, or reading a book with your coffee and people-watching on Admiral. There’s parking on the street, and it’s in a great location if you’re at all in the neighborhood(corner of Admiral and California). For those familiar with Bird on a Wire, The Admiral Bird is partly run by the same gal, so expect the same level of awesomeness.
