Leaving the Kenny Chesney concert last night and we were hankerin for some Mexican food and an ice cold coke. Stumbled in and there was a line, was stuffy but it smelled delish and we waited. The five stars are for the food and mostly because there were only two guys working and they rocked it! Props to you for bustin it out. Nachos were warm and fresh.

Walked here from Passport Agency. Quick service, reasonable price«Baja» Bowl, and comfortable«fast» food dining. Very similar to Chipotle but they have $ 7 special(two tacos & and a beer). They food is fresh and prepared in front of you.

It was pretty good. The food was alright, but the price was awesome. Good enough for lunch. Filling too! The burrito was awesome. Difficult to understand the heavy Spanish accents of the employees, but it wasn’t that bad. I’ve had better Mexican food, but for the price in downtown Seattle it was good enough.

I don’t know why I keep going back. It is just not this location, I have also had bad experiences at the Kirkland and Woodinville locations. This time though I ordered the two taco’s, all I wanted was chicken and Pico De Gallo on soft corn tortillas. I did get the chicken and the tortillas, NO Pico De Gallo, they added lettuce and cheese. Really??? I was specific on what I asked for and verified it with the guy who made it. Not a fan!!! Should have gone to another place.

Not sure how they manage, but everything on their menu from nachos to their taco salad tastes bland. Definitely a mismatch between quality and price, especially relative to Chipotle.

Me and my girlfriend walk in here, and our first thought was, hey this is kinda of a cute little place. We were wrong! The guy there was a so rude! I ordered an enchilada, and the guy mutters something. I said what? He replyed, and muttered again. I told him I can’t hear you that well can you speak up, and he looked at me funny. He then angrily slopped food onto my plater and ever time he asked if I wanted such, and such, and such, and such on it. Which I Could not hear so he just threw what ever on. Then my girlfriend ordered and he muttered some options again, and did the same. It was ridiculous all we asked was he speak up cause he was being so quiet. My response to that was a table filled with dumped uneaten food spread all over it while he was in the back, have fun picking that up buddy !

Decent fast food for not much money. If that’s what you’re expecting, you’ll like this place.

I keep coming back here because of the $ 2.29 beers. What gives this Taco del Mar 2 stars is that when I come in there is never any background music on, the tvs are on, but silent, giving the room kind of an eerie feeling. And the employees and management don’t seem happy at all. But the beers are cheap! The good is standard Taco Del Mar fare. I used to come in frequently a couple years ago, when there was a really nice guy working the night shift. He told me that the manager takes the tips. That’s horrible.

Pretty standard fast food. Employees don’t care. No manager or owner ever present. Food is always good. Never great. I’ll be back because it’s cheap and fast.

Open late for the midnight TDM run. Not the best but far from the worst. Slow service all times of day.

Sad face. My burrito is yucky. I can’t figure out what is off but it’s just not good.

After seeing Taco Del Mar all over Seattle, we had to try it. It was probably the most affordable meal we’ve had since we’ve been here, but I think you get what you pay for. I got the two tacos and my husband a burrito. We both got a combo with chips and queso, and the queso tasted like it came from the Tostidos queso from the grocery store. Overall, it was a good lunch, and affordable, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Taco Del Mar seems kind of expensive for the soggy, unhealthy tacos they serve. There is zero customer service at this location, so don’t expect any warm fuzzies. Maybe I’m becoming a Seattle local, but I would much rather go to a local restaurant or taco food truck than visit a chain like this, especially when it’s not even good!

I have been working in this area for about 2 years now and I have been to this location a countless number of times. There have always been a few things that have really irked me about this place though. First off, the Indian guy that runs the joint has a very low-quality customer service standard. Never offers stamp cards to returning customers and tells his entire staff to do the same. In fact, I have seen this staff refuse stamping cards to customers. This hasn’t bothered me too much until now. I have even heard a few of the guys working for him mutter that he is cheap. Secondly, they offer no hot sauces like they used to! What happened to the good ol days where there was 3 different kinds of tobasco and Cholula right at every table? Finally, what brought me to write this review is when they make the burritos, I usually like to get a few other toppings(jalepenos, etc) but they make them so quick and give no opportunity to even ask most times if that is all I wanted. Sure, I wouldn’t even mind paying extra if I needed to but there is usually never an option to get anything that is in the standard burritos without repeating myself loudly and in a stern manner to get what I want. I’m a nice person and I’m even happier when I have a burrito with everything I want in it! I have been in there so many times now that they have gotten used to what I would typically order and it hasn’t really been that big of a deal until now. I sent my associate to get me the same burrito that I always get. He asked the same guy that works there(who has probably made me at least a dozen burritos before) for exactly what I wanted but he refused to listen. He piled everything together and wrapped it while my associate was asking for extra lettuce and jalepenos. He finally looked up and asks him, «that everything?» and my associate decided not to get himself anything else like he planned on and walked out. This was upsetting to me so I go back and return the burrito and tell him, «if you cannot make me what I ask for, then you will not get my money.» And he gave me my money back and I left. Terrible experience. Never going back, no matter how hard my mexican cravings will be.

This place can get pretty busy during lunch, so you’ll be safe going at 11:30AM or 1:00PM. To save a calorie or a few, just go with a bowl with no rice.

This is average at best. The staff was quick to help and explained fully any questions I had. I had the taco Salad for lunch and it was average at best. Quality of the food was good but it was nothing to write home about. This was a good quick lunch for in between meetings without spending a ton of money. Decent food for a good price. If you want real Mexican this is not the place. If you want quick Mexican that is good quality this is the place. Quick, Easy and does the job of not making you hungry… that is all it is.

I work for a company that has 15 employees. Over the last 6 months, we’ve all had our credit card numbers stolen from somewhere in Pioneer Square, we weren’t sure who was stealing the cards until a co-worker used a new card for the first time at this Taco Del Mar and then waited two weeks. Low and behold his card was compromised. We’ve told the Police as well, but nothing has happened. If you are going to go here, do not use plastic. The food here is fine, it’s like any Taco Del Mar.

Went here before the Sounders game for some grub & cervezas. I had the carnitas nachos with sour cream & guacamole. The pinto beans were a little wet so they made the chips a little soggy. Would have liked more cheese on them too. Hubby had the mondo fish burrito. He loves their white sauce they put on them. Ordering is a little hard to do because you have to talk through the«sneeze guard» and the workers are hard to hear & understand. Super cheap beer prices for the Pioneer Square area. :)

Sad face emoticon. I LOVE Mexican food… apparently unless it’s from Taco del Mar. Perhaps I’m just a spoiled Bay girl… after all, we have some of the best Mexican food on the planet in the Mission District, home of the Mission-Style burrito(shameless PR, I know). Sadly, the vegetarian burrito I ordered here was almost completely inedible. Despite the fact that it had been freshly made, the burrito’s flour tortilla actually TASTED like the foil it was wrapped in. The rest of the burrito had zero flavor… I was essentially eating an aluminum burrito. The guy who served us acted like he was annoyed that he had customers. Tacos del MAR? More like Tacos del«Meh».
