SP+ Transportation

It was a week before prom and my group still had not found a party bus rental that was available and/​or had a reasonable price for 12 people. I called SP Plus and they responded within 2 hours with exactly what I was looking for. I talked with Jeff who was extremely helpful and assisted in finding the perfect party bus for the cheapest price. It was such a relief after having called well over 10 places with no success. He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgable about the company. He made working with SP Plus exceptionally easy.
On the day of prom, the party bus showed up on time and the driver was very kind and outgoing. However, she did not know much about how to work the lights or the audio on the inside and her driving was a little wild for our liking. Some of the passengers ending up getting motion sickness because of it.
Overall, our experience was good and we would use this company again in the future.

I hired SP Plus to transport my wedding party around the city on our wedding day for photos, and they simply DID NOT SHOW UP.
I discovered SP Plus Transportation at the Seattle Wedding Show in January 2012. My sister and I toured one of the executive vans and were very impressed. I subsequently booked a 26 passenger exeuctive van for three hours beginning at 12:30 p.m. on my wedding day, March 17, 2012. I obtained a banquet permit and was very excited that I would be able to transport my entire wedding party around the city for photos.
A little less than two weeks before our wedding I confirmed my reservation and itinerary with SP Plus. I received a response from their Transportation Supervisor/​Special Events Coordinator who confirmed our booking. My credit card was charged the full contract amount the day before the wedding.
However, on my wedding day, my husband and I sat with our wedding party in the lobby of The Westin hotel waiting for the van to arrive. It was the most important day of my life so far and I really needed everything to go smoothly. But the SP PLUS van never arrived. We waited for almost an hour while my wedding coordinator called every phone number we had (there was never an answer), until finally we were forced to call taxi cabs to transport 25 people around the city for our wedding photos. I don’t think anyone can possibly imagine how much extra, unnecessary stress (and money) this caused me, my family, and friends. I had worked hard for months to coordinate this aspect of my day, and SP Plus Transportation chose to simply not show up.
When my husband and I were finally able to speak to someone from SP PLUS Transportation (while en route to our honeymoon), we were informed that the driver simply «did not show up for work that day.» The regional manager we spoke with nonchalantly offered to refund our money, and when pressed said he would include an additional $ 100 for our trouble. Although our money was refunded, it did not make up for the fact that such an important and carefully planned aspect of our day was spoiled.
SP PLUS Transportation came very close to ruining our wedding day. Please consider this experience when considering using this company for your corporate or personal needs.
