Delicious authentic tasting Indian bowls and wraps packaged for travel :) This truck stops at my college on Wednesdays(UWB/CC) and its my go to for lunch. I love the chicken tikka masala bowl and they are great about not making it spicy for me.

The aloo gobi bowl was incredible; the best I’ve had in the city.

I’ll start with the bad first: the handwritten menu board was a bit hard to read. That’s really my only criticism! I couldn’t read everything at the top of the board very well, but I was pretty sure that I wanted a roll with aloo gobi. I also wanted it as spicy as possible. No problem, assured the smiling young lady at the counter. She told me about a spicy green hot sauce that she makes with limes and Thai chilis, and assured me that it is very hot. It didn’t take very long to get my order as there weren’t too many orders ahead of me. The roll came with a chickpea curry garnished with pickled onions and a small container of her green hot sauce. As for price, I’d say the prices are pretty average for food trucks in general, and fair for what you get. Food trucks are a labor of love, and the people running them deserve to get a fair wage. I’m not going to quibble over paying a few bucks over what something might cost me elsewhere. The glorious aromas of Indian food wafting from this truck was what sold me in the first place, and i was not disappointed. The chickpea curry was very tasty and the aloo gobi roll was turned into something spectacular by adding liberal amounts of her magical green sauce. OMG. That stuff is amazing. It’s hot, yes, but it’s insanely delicious on top of being ridiculously spicy. I hope she decides to sell jars of that someday! *This review is based on one visit.*

I tried the Kathi Rice Bowl with Chicken Tikka, and I thought it was pretty good. I really like the fried egg with it. I paid an extra 25 cents to spice it up, but I couldn’t tell that it was… then again, I ate foods spicier than the average person, so maybe it was, but I would have liked it spicier. The total was 12 dollars and some change, plus I gave a tip, so it was a little pricey, but seems like most of these food trucks are. But the chicken was tender and flavorful, and glad I had tried it.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka Kathi Bowl(no egg) and really enjoyed it, although the price($ 10.99) is rather high for a food truck. There were about 10 – 12 substantial pieces of lean chicken, over a bed of rice with peas, carrots and pickled onion. It was a very savory dish and the sauce was full of authentic flavors. The spice level was pretty mild and could have been spicier… the pickled onion brought a lot of heat though. Overall, the bowl was very filling and I even had enough leftover for a small dinner serving. The service is friendly and my order was ready in about 10 minutes.

I found this truck at the Bellevue ChowDown event, and ordered the Naked Kathi Bowl, which was a bowl of basmati rice, and pickled onions with spicy lamb and added a fried egg on top. When the cashier asked how I wanted my egg, I told him over-easy, and made a point to explain that I like the yolk to run. Well, that didn’t happen. My egg unfortunately was overcooked, but then I didn’t get very much of the spicy lamb.(I wish I had gotten the tikka chicken instead because maybe I would’ve gotten more of it.) Although I appreciate that the meal was indeed spicy, it just didn’t have enough protein for me, so was really more of a rice bowl. I wouldn’t spend 11 bucks here.

It was so delicious! Shama the chef and owner is a real delight! She has composed an extremely tasteful exotic concoction tat I highly recommend you experience! The spices are right, not too much, just the right amount of hot! you can spice is up a little more for a few $$. If you get the chance! Order anything on the menu you will not be disappointed!

I had the paneer roll, and I have read others’ concerns about small size and expensiveness. I’m a small eater, and the single roll was plenty for me. I was stuffed! So I guess take that how you will, I enjoyed the crisp roll with the soft, salty cheese inside. I loved the hot sauce as well — I feel like it was a good deal overall. Service was pretty fast, and with a smile! Will eat here again.

I firmly believed no one can f***up panner, until I ate at roll ok please. Words cannot describe how terrible it was. The chicken was flavorless and rubbery. Note they also have a sauce to make up for the lack of flavor in the food however they charge you money so that you can fix the bland food they serve you. Who the hell charges extra for chutney? Combine that with the terrible customer service where you get trumped in line by friends off the truck folks no way going back here. To be fair the lamb lasted alright however the portions are a ripoff for the price(even if it is supposedly high quality etc.)

I decided to check out Roll OK Please thanks to its creative name(google: horn ok please) I stood in line at 11:20 hoping to beat the lunch hour rush. There were only 5 people ahead of me but it still took forever! I only got my meal at 12. So if you have a time crunch or dont want to stand 40 minutes to eat, do skip this place. When you stand in line for so long you notice random things, like the hindi swear words scribbled inside the truck. On to the food: The chicken kati roll itself is like the companys middle name — «OK». Way too much gravy within the roll. Nothing memorable. However, the karahi ghosht taco(Mutton) was phenomenal. I wanted more of that mutton. Unfortunately i got the taco ~7 minutes before my roll, so the taco was all soggy by the time I got to it. I didnt get to enjoy the roti /egg because it was sloppy at that point. Again way too much gravy in the taco. But that karahi ghosht tasted like what dreams are made of. If they can serve that mutton with rice and call it a bowl, I may stand in line again. The service albeit slow, is still good. The folks in the truck were affable, accommodating, helpful and with a smile on their faces. The mutton + nice folks bump it from a 3 to a 4.

Just finished my chicken tikka Kathi roll with a side a channa masala. Ordered it spicy. YUM! My only complaint is I could have ramped it up just a bit more on the spice level. Flavors were all there and so quick. I’ll find this truck again. Shama, the owner, rocks! :)

This was sooo good! These kathi rolls are what Indians call egg rolls. It is a roti with a layer of omelette. I was skeptical that egg and paneer would go well together but they do. They really do! My paneer kathi roll had paneer that was flavorful but not too flavorful so it complemented the sauces well. The sauces were very good and incredibly flavorful. I’m not sure what else to say. I’ve never had these in India so can’t say if they are authentic but the flavors and ingredients used seem to be authentic. My only complaint: pricing. I think that the price for the paneer roll($ 6.99) was a little on the high side. Or maybe my complaint is that they are a little small. I’m a small female and really felt like one wasn’t quite enough to fill me up. And buying two for ~$ 14 would make for a very expensive food truck lunch. Because of the high pricing/small sizes, I recommend this to people who want a lighter lunch or a snack and then judge for yourself if you think it is worth it.

I was delighted to see Roll Ok Please at the South Lake Union campus and I had Chicken Frankie on 3⁄10. Taste was horrible and no where close to authentic frankie as they claim. Food was cold and the food did not look fresh to me, the chicken pieces were very big and not something i would put in a frankie. It was a total waste of money as i have trashed the roll after having two bites. I was so excited to have the roll but this has put me down completely, i dont think i would go again to get a roll.

I tried Roll OK Please for the first time a few days ago and I was delighted! The food truck workers were really friendly and sweet and SO fast! The line was pretty long but I got my order in and my food within 15 minutes. I got the Aaloo Gobi Bowl n Roll and it was a lot of food — a bowl was probably enough for me, but I love leftovers so yay! I felt like the price(about $ 11) was fair for what I got, and I could have ordered just one thing instead of a combo and spent far less. I loved the sunny side up egg on top of the bowl and the roll was so good that I ate it all on my walk back to work. The yogurt sauce tricked me — I thought it would be a mild, soothing agent to combat the spiciness of the roll and bowl, but it was spicy itself! I am a spice wuss, though, so don’t mind me. Nothing gourmet but solid and yummy street food served by sweet people. Recommended!

This food truck fails the ripoff test. I was dragged here by coworkers on a nasty rainy day to squint at the menu of $ 8 – 13 dishes behind a line of people who enable places like this to exist. I ordered the pork nanga bowl from the specials menu. The board didn’t say that the specials were different from their main menu counterparts in any way but the meat. After I’d handed over my credit card, the lady at the counter conveniently mentioned that they have a $ 10 minimum. My four coworkers and I all failed to notice this upfront – it’s only stated in the tiny print at the very bottom of the menu, which people tend to scan from a distance while waiting in line, not when it’s their turn at the front. How about posting this in a readable font next to the credit card logo stickers by the window? By the way, I was only 16 cents short. Annoyed, I agreed to buy a side of hot sauce to meet the $ 10 minimum, and I moved over to the side. As I waited for my food, I noticed that, in spite of the rain and the obvious fact that nobody was going to eat their food in the parking lot, people who’d ordered a roll were getting it handed to them in an open basket. No bags, utensils, or even napkins. When my name was called, I was given my nanga bowl, the cup of yogurt sauce, and the cup of hot sauce stacked on top of one another. Do you seriously expect me to walk four blocks back to my office, in the rain, with an umbrella in one hand and three slippery containers in the other – after paying $ 10 for a bowl of premade rice and shredded meat from a truck? When I got back to the office and opened my food, I realized there was no egg in the bowl. My coworker said he’d had the same thing happen before, and it was actually not a mistake: It turns out that the specials, in spite of already costing more than their main menu counterparts, do not come with an egg – and this is stated NOWHERE on the board. Oh, I almost forgot: The food itself was tasty, but not worth all the aforementioned bullshit.

Last week I tried the chicken tikka roll and a chicken frankie, and both were excellent, as was the thecha sauce. If nothing else, it convinced me to come back this week to try more of the menu… This week was a mixed roll with chicken tikka and chana, plus the special karahi gosht roll. The karahi was really good, but oh my god, the chicken/chana mixed roll was amazeballs. It’s like the perfect blend of meat, veggie & spices — add in the thecha sauce, and this is easily one of my favorite Indian dishes of all time — I’m hooked.

I had been waiting to get a taste of this food truck for quite some time now. Glad to say I wasn’t disappointed. SERVICE: Roll ok please was the most popular food truck during the food truck smack down at crossroads mall. Needless to say there were at least 4 to 5 people waiting ahead of me and the order took a little time. Yet it was fairly quick and delicious. The staff were courteous and you could talk to them to get something good if you are indecisive about what to order. FOOD: here’s the menu 1. Chicken kathi roll 5.99 2. Paneer kathi roll. Veg. 5.99 3. Nanga kathi bowl… served with rice and raita… it’s like a burrito bowl so there is no flatbread involved. 6.99 4 bowl and roll combo 10.99 Add fried egg for a dollar extra 1. Coconut water 2.50 2. Masala soda 2.00 I recommed the bowl and roll if you are looking for something heavy. Their green chilli and garlic sauce is really hot and delicious. Try that if you are in the mood for something really hot. It’s free :)

July 6, 2014 — In short, deliciously tasty and distinctive Indian street food! Wow, what an awesome food truck that just launched recently. At the suggestion of Shama, the owner, I had the chicken Kathi roll and Kathi bowl with an over-easy egg on top — super tasty, and at a great price! And if you like spicy, definitely don’t miss out on the homemade green hot sauce — great taste and kick. Their location varies for now, so best to check their Facebook and Twitter for the latest info.

Food truck built solely from the love of food. Shama, your food rocks! Whether you are a foodie or not, food is always around us. Food that reminds us of a certain part of our lives, crossing cultures, vacations, trip, hometown, our family and so on. I have so many favorites place to get my happy eat on. Mom’s always #1 followed by plethora of amazing eateries with amazing chefs from all over. Most have been trained exceptional well, others cook from their experience. But they all have one thing in common: the love of food! Enter Roll Ok Please. Shama the owner and chef is techie by profession and foodie by passion. She have passion for food, life, dance and laughter! If you are looking for her in a crowd, you can’t miss her! She’s that one bubbling with excitement! She decided to quit her job at Microsoft after 15 years to start a food truck because she loves cooking that much! Talk about the bravery! And following your passion! And you can taste all of that in her food. That was last month and viola! Bright red and yellow cart filled with amazing food was born! We got: Chicken Kathi roll The Kathi bowl with extra egg on top! Their masala chai and soda looks great but it’s on the coming soon list. No problem. we shall come back! After a few chatters with the very excited crew at the front, we got our food! My first love with Kati roll was the Kati roll Company in NYC. Pretty amazing, pretty tasty! And I haven’t had any since. This? Well this was the best since. The bread/chapati that covering the roll was fresh and so tasty. The meat was tender and the spices? Tasty, explosive but not overpowering. And my bowl was delish! I love my melty yolk from the egg, the chicken. Yummm. Did I mention it was 90 degrees that day? We stood outside and polished off our plates like Cookie monster at a cookie buffet in that heat! SOGOOD! The only complaint? I couldn’t get seconds because the line got really long. She also make this epic tasting homemade hot sauce. Zomg– that thing was amazing! Green chilis crushed on a stone with garlic, vinegar and some kind of magic. Your mouth will explode but you will not stop eating! Damn endorphin, damn! Seattle lack in good Indian street food. Or even a really good Indian food for that matter. This place give you a taste of both! And they travel all over Seattle. SLU on weekdays/Fremont! And Ballard on weekends right by that Hilliards brewery you say? Well, that’s where I shall be then! And you should be too. Get your Kathi roll fix, get your bowl fix. Get your Indian street food on! You can thank me later! :) Yes, Roll ok! You are more than ok in my book!
