I guess since this is a tourist spot it got my attention. Don’t come here for the food or you’ll be disappointed, if you are a foodie like me. I ordered the Mac and cheese, and I didn’t eat much. It was not ooey –bubbly crispy Mac and cheese. It was penne pasta with a dumb down cheese sauce(think like an Alfredo) with some breadcrumbs thrown on top. Yuck. The spinach salad was just ok. Husband had the Ruben and liked it, fries were crispy. The 6 sampler of beer was good but for $ 12 seemed a bit pricey when we got a 5 beer sampler for $ 5 at Fremont brewery the night before. The apricot cider was really tasty.

No problem giving Pike 4 stars. Really unique atmosphere, we spent a few minutes just roaming around looking at the walls and all the collectibles. My wife and I split the sausage and sauerkraut and it was delicious. Ironically the pretzel that they brag about was really disappointing. It was stale and there is nothing worse than a stale soft pretzel. I am sure we will return though, the rest of the experience was worth it.

At the end of the Pike Place Market and this place is sick. It’s a brewery so the beer is fresh. Missed the tour but they have them daily at 2pm besides Sunday and Monday. Either restaurant or bar so we choose bar. Simply order at the bar and then take our order wherever you want to seat. With so many options went with the sampler which was a reasonable $ 12 for size different type of beers. The paddle they give it to you is neat in that the beers are labeled one to 6. They even give you a menu so you know what you drinking. Many exotic flavors and you have to work your way up as 1 is the most light while 6 has the highest alc content. But the higher you went, the flavors were better also. Sit back and relax and have a sip of Seattle flavors fresh from the tap.

Upon exploring the shops, I stumbled upon Pike Brewing Company located inside the Pike Place Market. Since my friend was busy sifting through piles of sewing patterns, I took the opportunity to grab a beer while she shopped. Located on the first floor, you walk down the stairs and find yourself with options. The brewery is spacious with a restaurant, bar, museum and gift shop all in one place. Since I was cruising by myself, I just decided to take a seat at the bar. The draft list is relatively minimal, but they seem to be on the smaller side so they are forgiven. The selections covered a lot of range from light to dark with a small specials list on the side. Flights are also available, but I wasn’t too keen on IPAs. Instead, I got the Extra XXXXX Stout. Definitely a heavy head with lacing, but the taste was smooth with a slight espresso and dark cacao bitterness. By the time I finished my beer, my friend was done shopping. Sometimes things just work out like that! Super chill spot to rest and relax.

Not anything you would expect in the pikes market district, this bar is tucked away on 1st street. We tried the pike sampler which featured six of the popular brews. My favorite was Pike Monk’s Uncle, a Belgium style ale that is surprisingly 9% alcohol. It’s a sneaker!!! We sat at the bar and the hostess was quick and efficient! This place is great for locals looking for an after work drink, or the weary travelers(like us) who just need a beer. Five stars!

For bar area only and not food: 2 stars for the 2 small flat screen… For a brewery that is located in Pikes place, it had a huge bar yet only one tiny small flat… And the other flat was directly behind it. It was super tiny and they were showing the game… I know, should be lucky for a place to have a TV but now and days they usually have at least ¾ or one big one… This one was like a 32″ hanging up high… Anyway, we came to get some beers for the playoffs. We got the pikes place IPA and it was pretty flat. Place wasn’t good looking either, very dirty. Just go to the bar across the street.

Their scotch ale was pretty good. The bratwurst plate(not a brat like in a bun) was so-so. There’s lots of seating, and its a fun old touristy seeming place. Not bad, I’d try another beer there. But would probably not seek it out as a place to eat again. FYI, they no longer have fish and chips. Though they are building a new restaurant attached to this location that will focus on fish and chips.

The broken arrow burger w thick bacon is arguably the best burger in Seattle. The brews are awesome, the atmosphere is a typical tavern, but the food is gourmet. One of my favorite Seattle places to eat.

We just had two of the Stout XXXXX. My husband made the mistake of opening a tab at the bar, where you place all orders even the food, and now we’re stuck in line to pay. The beer was excellent, service was not. Poor customer service. They have enough servers to… serve and take people’s money. Their prices(for the food) are high enough to not have their customers wait in line to order and then pay. We left there hungry and got much better service and food elsewhere.

Great Place for Lunch! Located in the lower floor of the Pike Place Market, they offer a variety of home brewed beers, and stouts. The Clam Chowder is very good. The service is «Fast & Excellent». They offer many items on their menu, and they’re a great place to stop while you’re shopping. I’ll Be Back! Chef Gary Curry

This place is tucked inside Pike Place. We came here after a long drive and wanted to grab some beers. The decoration in here is pretty awesome and service was good. I’d come back for the beers but skip out on the food.

Get the steammed mussels and clams in the white wine sauce. It was so good and you can taste the freshness of them both. So plump and tasty! You can order ¾lbs for $ 16 or 1.5lbs for $ 25. It comes with a couple slices of sourdough toast and butter dipping sauce. The apple cider was a good compliment to this. Tucked away on the south side(left side) of Pike’s Place Market. Follow the«more restaurants» signage… and it takes you passed a small indoor bridge/hall where you can look down at the gum wall. Ewww Then you’ll see a large Pike Place pub sign.

The area is very hidden. Not a whole lot of people knows this place for some reason and I don’t blame them. This place is located underground the market but seems like bikers are guys that mostly goes to eat here. For the fun part, the food is spot on. Every component of all the food that we ordered were well executed and of course it tasted great. I’d definitely would recommend this place. Beer and burgers? Yes.

Average beer, underwhelming atmosphere. Definitely a spot for tourists, given their namesake. The service was alright, and the line for beer is just too long… Counters are a little dirty and the food is, unfortunately, nothing special. Plenty of souvenirs to buy and kitschy decorations all over. Not a place for the younger 20’s crowd, I noticed, so it’s loud, but not very lively. If you’re visiting Seattle, do a bit more browsing for other breweries!

Ah, the old brewery-restaurant dichotomy. So difficult to get both right, and Pike does not get both of them right. Their beers are pretty good. Standouts are the Kilt Lifter, the XXXXX Stout, and some of the seasonals like the Locale. I’ve read some other reviews that advise you to get a beer here and get your food elsewhere; this is good to listen to. I have found the service to be good-to-excellent both times I’ve been here, but I tend to go at off-times and haven’t experienced Pike in a full frenzy. I also sit in the restaurant rather than the bar. The food just isn’t very good. The first time I was here a few years ago I got a burger that was almost burnt despite my ordering medium-rare. This past week I went back again. My wife and I ordered their dungeness crab and artichoke dip appetizer and the crab chowder. The dip was not very flavorful, contained WAY too many huge pieces of cooked onion(to the point that it was an onion dip with a bit of crab and artichoke) and was not properly seasoned at all. The onions overpower everything and you barely taste crab or artichoke. The chowder was also underseasoned and not very flavorful. They both fell quite flat. I can’t say enough nice things about the server we had last time(Lauren) and the beer. But, skip the food until they get a new chef.

I remember seeing this place while at Pike Place Market, but never stopped by until my boyfriend and I decided to attend the annual Piketoberfest celebration here. We’re so glad we did because the Piketoberfest event is truly one of the best Oktoberfest celebrations around town. For $ 40 you get 10 tasting tokens, a souvenir glass and unlimited samples of the local food vendors. They also had a live polka band! It’s well-worth the money. The space is huge and is two-stories. We enjoyed seeing all the old beer memorabilia on the walls, and even met the owners who are really nice people. They also have the cutest dog! I’d like to come back, just to try a sample of all the beers here because the Pike Brewery beers that I did have during Piketoberfest were just a little light for my preference since I really like strong, bitter, hoppy beers hence the four stars instead of five. So, looking forward to coming back here, solely for the beer.

The atmosphere is trendy. It’s a nice place to grab a beer and sit down while visiting Pike’s Market. Children are allowed to sit in this bar type area(with couches, booths, tables and televisions). We only grabbed a drink, and did not have anything to eat. Why 3 stars? It wasn’t super, and it wasn’t terrible. Had to get out of our booths to get our own napkins. You have to go up to the bar to order your drinks and food. We didn’t have anyone checking on us. Perhaps that’s what people want. But, I was in the mood to just sit down, grab an appetizer, have a drink, and talk about the Mariner’s.

This place was nice but the service sucked. We sat ourselves i had to go grab the menus if i knew where the water was i would of gone and grabbed that too. The food was nothing special it was sad that they had plenty of brewed beer there but they couldn’t make their own chips for some decent nachos. How sad is that? The atmosphere was loud and live but the service lagged. I had a few of the«space needle» drafts those were pretty good they had a nice caramel hoppy taste which i really do like :) that beer was pretty good. Is just hard to go and grab ur own beer when every one is trying to do the same thing. Over all i liked this place because its down stairs of pike market but i wouldn’t come back here again. They do have nice souvenir glasses to take home i couldnt tell u how much they cost but i got mine for free 99 ;) lol.

On our first night in Seattle, we wanted to have dinner somewhere casual, no reservations required, and had lots of beer. Pike Brewing Company fit the bill. This place is great for tourists as its conveniently located near Pike Place Market and has an extensive drink and food menu. It’s a continuous toss up between a burger and a pulled pork sandwich for me, but that night the cravings for BBQ won out. The fries that came with the sandwich were deliciously crispy and salty. Great casual dinner here! Service was awesome.

The secret before exploring the cluster of activity in Pike Place Market is… Escape down the gummy alleyway to Pikes Brewing for several tasty pints of craft brew. Pike’s has a tasty variety of IPA’s and pretty good grub. It is huge with lots areas to sit, drink and eat… It is decorated to the MAX with beer memorabilia covering the walls.
