Served food to us after midnight and even gave sour skittles with the check. Best establishment ever.

Finally got a chance to come here after working across the street for many months. I was a bit surprised at the décor and lack of warmth when I first walked it. I pictured it being a bit darker with less poppy music to give me a british pub vibe. The walls were bright and tables were actually spread out. Not very many people near eachother. It’s not a bad thing, just an odd observation from an odd person. The menu, while my brain screamed«get poutine you wannabe Canadian!», made it very difficult to choose. There were many dishes I wanted to try, but I didn’t want to be disappointed. So I played it safe and got the deluxe burger I think its called. Had guiness BBQ sauce and chipotle aioli. I hat chipotle but got it anyway and I actually couldn’t taste it at all so I was happy. Real decent burger. Reminded me of the Whiskey River burger at Red Robin which I love. Fries were good too! Hard to stop eating. All around, it was tasty. Good vibes with friends. Music had a bit too much Miley and Taylor Swift, which I guess is for the very young wait staff, but if turned down a bit it would be more tolerable. I’m being very picky here, I’m aware. Doesn’t matter, I’d go back tomorrow if I could. Last thought, Butter Chicken Poutine sounds SO gross! But it could be one of those gross sounding ideas that actually works very well. I want to try it someday.

Yummy food and tasty drinks! Located down a flight of stairs below Motif Hotel, this restaurant feels like a British pub inside. I had the French Dip with fries and a mojito, both of which were wonderful. The au jus was thick and tasty, like a beef gravy. The mojito had just the right amount of mint sprigs, giving it the perfect flavor. Service was quick, attentive, and professional.

The French Onion Boar Burger was insanely good! It is ground Boar meat griddled and marinated in french onion soup stock. Topped with swiss cheese and caramelized onions on a brioche bun withonion jam and mayo. No ketchup needed! On the side– Caesar salad with bacon bits(why didn’t anyone think of this before?). Like the bartender reccomended !!!

Don’t EVER think about bringing food here. My husband and I wanted to finish watching a football game here. We had just finished dinner at Palamino across the street and had a few slices of pizza left and we had it in a leftover box and re hostess lost her shit over that small box of leftover pizza and told us it was a LAW. Excuse me, restaurant policy is not law. They basically lost a tab from us and future service for their rudeness and inability to bring in leftovers. Normally I would have asked to talk to the manager but she was such a bitch that we just left!

The Elephant & Castle is a British Pub Chain that is located in the bottom of the Chic Hotel Motif. If you’re looking to stay close for a meal, pint, and happy hour specials, this may suit you. Many different places nearby offering happy hour specials, however Service is Excellent, and there is many beers, ales, ciders, stouts on tap. They do boast a pool table below, and a weekly brewers night Enjoy Chef Gary Curry

Visiting Seattle and wanted to catch some football before heading home. We wandered downtown and were drawn into this place because of the noise and game being broadcast over outside speakers. They advertise themselves as a football bar, have 15 awesome TVs and a great setup but NONFL networks. The same game was on every tv! Whatever is on cbs is what you get here. Total letdown, pay the little extra a month and get the use out of the TVs!

My friends and I were wondering downtown in the rain looking for a good dinner and drinks spot. We happened to find Elephant and Castle right at the end of happy hour. We were able to order some cheap drinks and appetizers right as we sat down. We also ate dinner there and got a few more drinks. Everything was so so good! We got so much food at a great price and really good drinks. The waiter we had was GREAT. He was so attentive and friendly. I got the Slumdog, which was HUGE and super good. My friend got the stuff yorkshire which was an amazing amount of food and also super delicious. My other friend got a turkey wrap which he did not particularly enjoy, but admitted that everything else we had was superb. I highly recommend Elephant and Castle. They also have a cool looking bar and pool tables. Definitely somewhere I will go back.

We randomly walked in off the street and we were blown away by the fact that we got seated so quickly and got our food quickly too! The seats are comfy, which is important! These chairs can fit large hips! The atmosphere is dark, loud, and feels like you’re right at home. I had the deluxe burger and my friend had the steak and both were cooked to perfection. We both cleaned our plates and had room for dessert. Even more amazing is we came during a busy convention weekend! It felt like a regular weeknight. We will definitely come here again.

Met a friend here for HH, and the prices for import beer(Guinness, Boddington, Newcastle, etc) were cheaper than most of Seattle at HH. Half price appetizers were also great. The beer garden outside is nice but it gets a lot if foot traffic so it’s not as great as it’s made out to be. I think sitting in the back of the bar or in one of the sunken lower booths will do just fine, with almost all of the best European beets to keep you going. Why 4 instead of 5: you have Guinness(thumbs up) and you have Bass(threw up in the back of my mouth), but no Harp. How will I get a half and half with no Harp? Bad form sir.

It was a warm and sunny evening in beautiful downtown Seattle, the perfect night for people watching and dining al fresco. My friend and I decided to eat dinner here — I’d walked by a hundred times but never stopped. I’m so glad we decided on this place. Service was great and food rocked — the atmosphere was stellar. Here are the reasons for my stellar review. We were greeted very warmly and sat promptly — we dined outside because the evening begged for it. Our drink orders were quickly taken — water for both myself and my friend. We had a tough time deciding what to order because of the extensive menu. I was tempted to try the bangers and mash, but opted instead for the French Dip. I am a huge lover of the Dip, but this is dip done to perfection — perfect slices of roast beef, very vibrant horseradish aioli and Swiss cheese that balanced out everything. Oh yes, and wonderful sautéed mushrooms. But, we must talk about the au jus — a bit thicker than what I normally eat, but that was totally cool because the flavor was out of this world. I don’t know what they put in it, but the spices were dee to the lish. Oh yes, and the fries were amazeballs, too — love the seasoning. My friend ordered the chicken salad, which looked heavenly. Gorgeous grilled chicken, pieces of mandarin orange and cashews all looked like divine ness on a plate! Since it was my birthday, we got a free dessert, which was a brownie sundae that was huge and amazing — ice cream, whipped cream and caramel between two chocolate brownies drizzled with fudge and sprinkled with powdered sugar! OHHYEAH! All in all it was an amazing meal, service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I’ll definitely be back — you should try it, too!

I know about this place from San Francisco and I loved the food and atmosphere there. The Seattle location has food that is great pub fare! The location is great is below street level and they serve up some good beer! I wish there was a location near my home town Los Angeles

Not bad, but not the best. Really dark inside, and the hostesses aren’t very welcoming. We dropped in for HH on Saturday and had a beer and I ordered the hummus and naan. Let me tell you. This hummus was A-MAZING! I wanted to lick the plate. haha. The naan was nice and soft. If I go back, it will definitely be for this. :) My boyfriend loves fried pickles, and ordered them. He said they were ok. The pickles were too thin, and too much breading. He could hardly taste the pickles inside. Overall, an okay experience. If you go, go for the hummus and naan ;)

I’ve one good experience here but one very bad one. Good time: lovely servers and good food and pretty okay prices for alcohol(haha well as good as it can get in a downtown area). But the bad experience completely wiped that good one away. Bad time: as my party and I were getting ready to pay, our server(Patrick) mixed up all of our orders. Everone in our party got mixed up bills and it took a while to correct. Then he came back and had already charged my card for double what I actually owed. I wad assured that I wasn’t charged yet but I checked my with my online bank while I was waiting. The charge had gone through. I asked for the old receipts so I could prove to my bank that it was a mistake, he had already thrown them out and deleted the mistake. Then he handed me my bill again and had insisted that I ordered everything listed. When my friend told him that he had added her order to my bill he took it back. When he came back with the correct order I had to pay again. When he came back he said that my card was declined. My friend covered my bill and we left after even more frustration. Never going back and never recommending this place again.

Wait was kinda of long to get service going. And it would be nice if they moved the hostess desk to the second floor instead of making you climb all the way down then right back up again, particularly on nice sunny days when everyone wants to eat outside anyway. But once we got situated, and finally waited on by our server, it was a very pleasant experience. Great setting. Fun drinks. Just a delightful experience in Downtown Seattle.

A group of friends and I stayed at Motif and decided to try out this bar, especially since it was at such a convenient location and is open later than the restaurant/bar in Motif. We came here mostly for drinks and to get some food to snack on. We stopped by around midnight and the bar was relatively empty. Our server was really awesome. He made sure that we got everything we wanted and even gave us some recommendations on other places to try out during our short stay in Seattle. We ordered a round of shots and beers and also nachos and hot wings. The nachos were unexpectedly huge and was more than enough to go around for a group of 5. The reason for the low rating was because the nachos and hot wings pretty much just tasted like your average food and I thought it was a bit pricey overall.
