This location is now CLOSED. Drove by there last night and tonight and there is a sign on the door says closed.

Lackluster service, stuffed meatloaf is very dry. Was excited about the revamped menu, but ended up still being juuuuuuuust a decent experience. Better bars are nearby.

I could not believe the horrible customer service I experience here. YOUWILLNOTBELIEVEWHATHAPPENED. So I order 2 beers from the bartender. Everything good so far. Then his friends walk in and he spends about 10 minutes talking to them and ignoring everyone else. OK, not so bad. Then I order a burger about the same time his friends order food. Check this out. He comes out with yummy warm food for him and his friends and sits at the bar for 30 minutes eating with his friends. Guess what… No burger for me. He even gets up and steps on-top of the bar to get his friends and him napkins while ignoring everyone else. I have to wait till he’s done eating and talking with his friends till he finally goes behind the bar. 45 minutes later he finally gets behind the bar. I ask to close out. As he hands me my check I say, «So my burger never came?» He looks at me dumbfounded and says. «I’m sorry. I forgot. « What a total moron. This bar sucks. Sucks bad. Not because of the food or booze but because the bartender sat there and feed himself and his friends while patrons waited. I will never go there again AND I will make sure everyone I am friends with knows about how bad this bar is. Too bad guys, you lost a customer in 1 visit because you hired the wrong person and trusted then. Horrible way to conduct a business.

I loved this place when it was Paddy’s, and love it even more now. I come in all the time and am always greeted with a smile and excellent service. Since changing over to O’Maille’s, they have switched up the menu a bit – the standard pub favorites are all still there, and they now have some amazing healthier options as well – you can tell the new kitchen manager really cares about the quality of the food being served. This is one of the best neighborhood joints you’ll find in South Lake Union – food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are all A+++.

OK, let me preface this. My friends and I work for a company close to this location. Before it changed to O’Maille’s we frequented this place at least 2 times a week. We even came up with a phrase«Paddy’s Index» to describe a half sandwich and a beer as the defacto lunch price index. The index was used to measure whether or not we will visit other restaurants in the area. This is how much we loved the place. But, just like the major stock indices taking a dump right now, Paddy’s Index is no more. After the switch to O’Maille’s, the half sandwich lunch menu was gone, and we were forced to order a full sandwich. The staff was nice enough to allow us to split a full sandwich, and initially the idea was even suggested by the waitresses. Then last week lunch time happened. There were 5 of as usual. 4 of us ordered 2 beers each, and split 2 full sandwiches. 1 ordered a fish and chip special. The last guy left early for work reasons and there were 4 of us left sipping on our 2nd beer. He had paid his share before leaving. This occasion is special because, it started with the waitress being really snarky with the practice of splitting sandwiches. Paraphrase«Sigh, I shouldn’t have told you guys about that.» Which I can understand but come on, it’s your job to put on a smile and tell us it’s not allowed. Next time we will order something else. But here is the kicker: we all go home, everything is fine until one credit card amount peaked everyone’s eyebrows. One of us got seriously overcharged; to the amount of $ 45 for a half sandwich($ 7) and 2 beers($ 10) + tip. A total of $ 23 was signed off on his receipt as he overcompensated for a low-tip from another one of us. I am not sure how $ 45 got summed up and we for sure did not individually order that much. We thought it might have been to cover our friend that left early, but he definitely paid as well. Now I am cross checking all my credit card charges from this place in the last month to see if I was overcharged at all. This place is officially blacklisted from our lunch places and I will not hesitate to tell others the walk is not worth it. I will rather drop $ 15 on crappy cafeteria food than go again. Too bad, your ruben sandwich was actually pretty decent.

Several of my colleagues and I used to regularly frequent O’Mailles(or Paddy O’Coynes, as it used to be called) 2 – 3 times a week for lunch, as we work in South Lake Union. You can bet that we will not be going back. Paddy’s strength before was that is was an average, clean, fairly cheap(lunch special + a beer on average totaled $ 13 with tax. Not much to pay for filling food and a nice buzz to help get you through an afternoon of crying at your desk — even if their rotating draft never changed from some average IPA). The O’Mailles rebrand appears to have been an attempt at a refresh — to class up the joint, if you will. What this actually means is that they have repainted a new logo onto the outside of the building and jacked up their prices, removing the previous lunch menus. It’s South Lake Union, your clientele are slobby Amazon engineers who just want a cheap lunch, don’t try to get fancy. The service is pretty poor. The waitress first suggested we could split sandwiches(«Finally, we can eat half-Rueben sandwiches again — like our price-conscious forefathers** used to on the windy moors of Ireland», we thought) — but then audibly sighed, telling us «I shouldn’t have told you how to half the sandwiches» the next time we visited. I’d laugh that off, if she wasn’t dead serious. Hell, asking for our check to be split got the same response. I can see why the staff at this restaurant act lazy or tired — after all, they’re serving brogrammers all day in a boring part of town — but don’t take it out on the people who, prior to these events, frequented your restaurant multiple times a week and never did anything exceptional bar sometimes order mayo on the side(which is probably sigh-worthy in the new world order). Of course, the kicker was my colleague being overcharged on his credit card bill by over double the cost of his meal. Maybe it was my fault: I probably should have tipped more for the awful service I received. It’s okay, we’ll go back next St. Patrick’s day and get charged double again for smaller portions on paper plates(this actually happened this year). **Disclaimer: I’m actually not American, I’m British, so don’t have fake Irish forefathers. We know Irish food, though. We invented Ireland as a place to send all the cheap whiskey.

This is not closed! It has just changed names to O’Maille’s! Go here! Best place ever!!! I go here all the time, service is always amazing and so is the food. It’s our regular spot, you won’t be dissappointed. Update February 2016: Foods went really down hill with new name. Thanks to Chris for the heads up, closed now.

Patty Coynes is a pretty average bar. Our server seemed very nice but we could tell he was nervous. The selection of beers on tap was plentiful and the happy hour is good. The location is so cool. Pier 70 near a creepy naked man and naked boy fountain. I’d eat here again.

I have been to Paddy Coyne’s many times, but have yet to leave a review. This is pretty much your standard Irish Pub. They have a decent selection of menu options and drinks. They have a good lunch specials that are reasonably priced. It’s a pretty fun place. Another thing I like about this place is that it’s not overly busy during lunch, which is rare in Amazon land. Also, they are open for brunch on weekends. It’s not the best brunch ever, but it’s fine, and I’m glad they have it available. Last time I went in I found out they were recently sold, so look for a name and menu change coming soon. I hope this is not a step in the wrong direction.

Can’t say I’ve gone to many bars to begin with so there’s not much to compare to. Went and attended a friends 30th chill birthday celebration and we made it in time for Happy Hour!(woohoo! that saves us some money). Hubby and I end up ordering two orders of their«fish and chips» i thoroughly enjoyed their fries but the fish was meh. We also ordered chicken tenders? or something like that. I guess I was expecting a batter/fried chicken tenders but it end up to be a bbq flavored? something to that extent. I didn’t care for the chicken much, again, the fries were yummy and luckily we weren’t paying full price for such bar food. Not exactly wow’d. Not much of a selection either. Hubby got a beer, I had two midori sours(first time having this so i can’t compare, BUTOMFG!!! i LOOOOVED it) i had em back-to-back, would’ve had a third or more had it not been the fact that we needed to leave shortly and I would have to drive. Got 3 shots of lemon drops, i tasted the hubby’s and was not a fan. Give me the fruity tuitti drinks any day over the drops. All that and with tip end up costing us about $ 70. Service was great, she was there when we needed her(and not) and attentive. We most likely won’t be going back. But now, speaking of the midori sour, i’m wanting one. I might just become an «alcoholic» to fruity tuitti drinks

Decent location and usually has a lot of seating. The outdoor seating is nice for happy hours and they have a good beer selection. Would recommend if Brave Horse is packed. This place is really close to Amazon so the customers are mostly from there. Food is decent, just run of the mill east coast diner quality.

My BF and I decided to have a late dinner here, and we ordered the shepherd’s pie and stuffed potato skins. The potato skins were kind of bland. They tasted ok but could have been better. The shepherd’s pie was good, but it wasn’t super flavorful. The service here is good, though, and our server was very friendly. My BF likes this place, so if we return, I want to try some of their other items.

Just… Wow! Was recommended to come here by a co worker to ceoebrate the Seahawks win and we were not disappointed. Esmerelda was our server and she was so friendly and personable. My girlfriend ordered the pub burger and I ordered the fog city sandwich — an open face steak sandwich. It was FANTASTIC. Really some of the best steak I’ve had, and at an Irish pub?! The bread soaked up all the juices and was nice and buttery and garlicy. The fries are shoestring style, kind of bland but pretty good still. Prices aren’t bad either! And the food came out REALLY quickly! There are also TVs to be seen from everywhere and of course a full bar. Will definitely be back!

A typical Irish pub/bar/restaurant. Good beer selection with a fun passport card to earn prizes with. Food has been mostly meh, nothing special and not particularly cheap either. HOWEVER — their mushroom soup is some of the best damn soup I have had in the city. I’m pretty it’s basically butter and mushrooms but my lord… I order it every time. I’ve demanded the recipe on multiple occasions. The soup alone bumped this place up from 3 to 4 stars in my book.

Classic Irish Pub, Guinness and sports. Great happy hour. Outdoor seating, booths, and bar seating. The Happy hour menu has drawn me in twice, and both times I I had to have the same thing. Cheeseburger. Classic pub style. the bun was good, and tried it’s best to stay together. This is the kind of sandwich that needs to be cut in half. The reason I liked it was because it wasn’t overcooked, and the dressings were very fresh. Both times the food was consistent. The first time I had the french fries which were pretty good. Last time I got an amazing herb salad instead of fries. The salad was amazing. Service is fast and friendly, but when busy you may have to swirl your glass or empty beer bottle around until they notice you’ve gone dry. I’m sure to return.

We had a sendoff for our boss here. A dozen of us met for drinks and appetizers. We were seated upstairs in this loft room that looked down over the first floor. It was a sweet place to be, away from the noisy bar and crowd. I don’t drink so I can’t report on the beverages, but the appetizers were decent. The waitresses were great and checked on us often. Wow. What a find. A strange place for an Irish pub but so convenient for those of us in SLU. It is just a few blocks up from amazon land and they have a really great bartender Andy. The Black and Tan was great a well poured(eg he used a spoon for the«black») Their special double IPA was also great. But the best thing was the Irish decoration. Not quite grimy enough for a real pub but a nice spot
