Walked by this patch of heaven on the way to Lunchbox Laboratory. It caught my eye because it was so unusual to see this patch of green in the middle of D/T. Yeah I know Seattle is green everywhere. This one patch is especially GREEN. It’s surrounded by a chain link fence but is left open for anyone to walk in and enjoy the different plots of plants. The greens are punctuated by colorful flowers in all different heights. A tool shed sits somewhere in the middle of this lovely surprise. This is a community garden. Anyone is free to plant and care for the plants here. Awesome idea!

What can you say about a P-Patch other than they are all great ideas and this one in particular always catches me off guard because of it’s location, I always have to stop and walk around, as I did today, glad I took some pics of the early spring flowers.

A very nice collection of garden plots whose users have decorated quite cleverly. A welcome patch of green in the city and was a totally unexpected encounter for me. Hooray Seattle for making this available.

This is such a cute little garden with lovely paths(albeit short ones) and entrances. During the holidays, the gigantic fir tree in front of it is lit up with a gorgeous set of colorful lights.
