I saw the breakfast sign and got all excited. Unfortunately, they no longer serve breakfast. They do serve very cheap drinks, though, and they have a pool table. Also, I read this article about the owner and the history of the bar and it’s pretty interesting: It’s totally a dive, but there are a lot of things to like about dive bars.

I never had an experience like this in any bar I’ve ever been to. From the outside this looks like a dive bar, and I love dive bars, so one day when driving by I decided to stop for a drink and check it out. The place is more than a dive, it is a dump. Stains on the floors, walls, and pooltables, and what wasn’t a stain looked like grime. A few steps inside I noticed a strong sour/acidic smell like — I am not exaggerating — stale vomit or urine. The only people there were the bartended and an old man sitting at the bar. By the time I got to the bar, I had decided to leave, but when the bartender asked what I wanted I didn’t want to say I was leaving because the place was disgusting(she had to work there after all). So I said I was just there to have a look to know if I wanted to bring some friends there. The old man at the bar apparently was the owner, and started screaming at me about how he was tired of people comming in just to look, and then started spouting insults and obscenaties at me. I made an attempt to calm him down, but it seemed he could barely comprehend what I was saying. He didn’t even have a drink in front of him so I suspect there is some kind chronic alcoholism psychosis going on there. I only bring that up because the person that is ultimately responsible for the health and safety of his patrons seems to have impaired mental capacities, and the filthy conditions indicate the staff certainly aren’t picking up the slack. There is a full bar so they must serve food, but I can’t imagine the Health Department being cool with this place. I might recommend stoping in just for the freak-show value and I would really like to see other people’s reviews, but honestly it doesn’t seem like a safe place from a physical or health perspective.
