I wanted to try something different, and I always see this when I go to the Ballard Safeway. So I thought I’d give it a chance. I got the Texas Burrito. Very filling. I like that they have black beans. The burrito was good but I feel the meat was missing something in flavor. It wasn’t bad. It was good, but not great. And the spicy salsa is probably the spiciest that I’ve tried in Seattle for mexican food. Staff was friendly. I’ll go back and try some other things.

This place is a hidden gem in Seattle/Ballard. Some of the best tortas I’ve ever had. Good prices and friendly service.

I love this little taco truck — It’s cheap, it’s delicious, and the folks that own it are the nicest! I recently moved here from Texas, so I’ve been on the hunt for some good Mexican food, and this spot definitely satisfies the cravings! I usually go for the asada or pastor tacos, and they’ve always been super tasty!

This place. where to begin. I hate hyping eateries this much, but this place is the real deal when it comes to Mexican food. This is the kind of place you bring your friends to for the sheer enjoyment of seeing the look on their faces when they take their first bites. The food is just that good. I could probably eat here every day and be satisfied. Judging by the relatively short wait each time I’ve been, this truck seems to be a well-kept neighborhood secret that I hope will never reach Paseo levels of repute(and lines), because it’s definitely on that level. Things to try(read: devour): — Torta Cubana(very large, would serve two) — Regular Torta(I recommend any of the beef options) — Tacos Al Pastor — Carne Asada Tacos

Awesome place. Cheap, yummy, great service, huge portion!!! The place is in Shell gas station parking lot — Market and 15th. Ordered Tortas and Taco Salad. They both were good. Tortas was huge and delicious. Taco Salad was fresh and scrumptious. Very cheap and friendly. Will go back for sure!

Their tacos cost 1.53 with tax. Nothing wrong with that, EXCEPT their sign says 99 cent tacos. Um, what? I asked them about it, and he said somebody broke their sign. Um, what? Why don’t you fix it, I asked, or take over the 99? He did not appreciate this, ending up with«I don’t give a f**k.» If they fix their sign I would like to try their food, but on principle I will not patronize an unethical establishment that lies about its prices.

The quality and taste has slipped since I started eating here over a year ago. I notice some of the ingredients have changed too, to lesser and probably cheaper ingredients. Really bummed out about that, as the quality for value was what made this place so terrific. Now it doesn’t seem to have the«wow» factor anymore. I hope they go back to the quality stuff they were using before.

Cheap, delicious, flavorful, with friendly service. What more could you ask for? I’m not a big quesadilla fan, but theirs are outstanding. Their burritos are hands-down the best in the area. All the meat choices are delicious – so much flavor! And the guy who typically runs the truck is just so, so nice. My only complaint is that they aren’t open 24/7…because I could pretty much eat here all the time.

This place is the hidden gem that you probably wouldn’t think to try if you didn’t know what to look for in a food truck. The flavor is on par with the best I have had in Mexico at a price point that one should expect from their food trucks. I got the lengua tacos and spicy pork torta. The torta is a messy, super tasty affair like a proper sandwich should be. The tacos are a perfect balance of the ingredients and were a total flavor bomb. They offer sauces, which are excellent. But you won’t need them because the flavors are perfect as is.

As time goes on i’m starting to realize that this truck might be one of the best in the city if not the state.

Carne Asada tacos are the best. Better than el camion in my opinion(plus they are super fast).

This was the messiest torta I have ever eaten and probably the best on I have ever consumed. Bravo amigos for producing such an awesome sandwich in a gas station parking lot.

There was previous mention in an old review about this place of boiled meats. Well sir you were dead on. The meats are not grilled thus they are bland and boring. Not much reason to even eat meat if it’s not going to trigger your taste buds and make you want more. Bad Mexican food just pisses me off. Stay in your car and find another truck.

First off, the beans here are really good. My kids love them, and I do too, for that matter. Also, the couple that work here are really nice. Now, I have only had the tacos here, and have not tried the other items off of their menu as many of the other esteemed Unilocalers have done. Specifically, I have tried the carnitas, al pastor, and chicken tacos. The chicken was good, but the carnitas and al pastor are not what you would expect. They are not necessarily bad, but they are not really carnitas and Al Pastor. In short, do I know better places? Yes. Would I go back again? Most definitely. Let’s support this couple!

Oh ya! Now here’s a taco truck I can get behind. Cheap, delicious, and convenient. Yes, they’re in a gravel parking lot on 15th ave, leave your lowrider on the street. I stopped in for an assortment of tacos and a tamale a couple weeks ago. Some of the better Mexican food I’ve had. The pastor was seasoned great and juicy, the carne wasn’t dried out. The chicken tamale was a bunch of chicken in it along with a bit of pepper. This will become my new goto for tacos. Grab a growler at Hilliard’s around the corner and call it a night. They also have a small covered, «carport/hooch» dining area with a TV playing futball.

They call it a Torta. I call it a stomach destroyer. For $ 7 my dude & I split it along with 2 $ 1 tacos &2 $ 2 somethings. This was a bad plan. The torta is superlarge! It alone could have fed us. And delicious! I shiver with delight at the thought of the $ 8.50 torta that comes with pepper jack, guac & other deliciousness. The $ 1 tacos were a little forgettable, although the chorizo was nice. We also got it to go & the red & green hot sauce was hot love! The $ 2 somethings were well worth the extra cash as they were again, ridiculously huge and came with sour cream & guacamole. This place is located in a desolate little strip near the Ballard bridge. There is a pretty sweet taco van set-up w/multiple tables, chairs, napkins, s & p, COVER, and all that other fancy stuff. Do remember it is cash money only or else you will be a sad muchacho/a.

I was seriously craving some authentic Mexican tacos. As stated many a time before, I am a bit of a Mexican food connosieur/snob since I am from south Texas. I knew there were several taco trucks in Seattle, but didn’t know quite where to find them, let alone which one was closest. Then I remembered the craptastic little place I always make fun of right by the Ballard bridge. I was desperate. I figured, what the hell? Why not? So off I went to the little taco stand. .99 tacos?! WHAAAAT?! I got two with the thought that if they sucked it wasn’t much of a loss. They very much did NOT suck. They were phenomenal. The one complaint was a bit too much onion, but whatever. I just scraped the excess off. The green sauce was good; I didn’t try the red(it looked scary to someone that is not a fan of spice). They had very Mexican music playing, but surprisingly, it was not annoying(and this coming from someone who isn’t really a fan of Mexican culture). The people were friendly, and they had Mexican coke which is always a plus. I felt like I was momentarily transported back to my little hometown in south Texas.
