Sadly I never really got a chance to try the food here. The one time I finally made it to Dope Burger, I had just eaten and ended up getting a milkshake which was pretty close to my standards of excellence. It actually had some texture to it and wasn’t simply soft serve in a cup. It was however a vanilla shake and the flavor was lacking. If I hadn’t had to be at work right afterward I would have definitely opted for a milkshake with alcohol, which would have been the server’s recommended chocolate shake with bourbon most likely. Anyways this place has since burned down, I went to eat there today for lunch and was confused and standing out front, staring in through the window looking at all the smoke damage and missing furniture, when someone stopped to explain to me what had happened. There was a fire shortly after bar-time, estimated around 2:15am, and luckily there were still some employees next door who were then able to call the fire department. This particular restaurant will not be re-opening anytime soon but hopefully they had insurance which can be used to find a new place that they can then not burn down. The people I know seemed to like this place so I’m giving it a post-rating of 4⁄5.

actually the specials are quite fantastic(a genius peanutbutter, pickle and bacon burger; a mindblowingly-good falafel burger, even the rueben burger was great) and the onion rings are a little disappointing(too little onion for how big and thick the rings are). and really the fries just need a little more crispness to be perfect. I had a banana-Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake that was *incredible* — chunks of banana alongside crispy bits of cereal. Depending on the day of the week you might get shredded iceburg(yuck) as opposed to shredded romaine(Yum!) so there might be a bit of a consistency problem in off-hours. The bacon is thick and crispy and fatty — this is one of the few places I trust to put bacon on my burger now. In retrospect the dope sauce is actually quite good now that I’ve given it a fair shake. My friends have said the veggie options are very good as well.

I can’t say I’ve been here that sober, but that’s partly due to the fact that every bar surrounds this place and that it’s open until very late(which is smart business). That being said, my memory will never fail me and I know for a fact that these guys do it right. The fries are fresh cut and crisp, which is a refreshing twist to that frozen crap. The burgers are made with great ingredients, a satisfying third pound patty that’s not frozen and handmade, which means they taste delicious. I love the surfer on avocado, because quite frankly, avocado and meat just go together so well. The dope burger is also a reliable choice, which is pretty much your standard burger with meat, cheese and special«dope» sauce that resembles a kind of thousand island dressing that you find at In-N-Out. The waitstaff are always extremely patient and the coolness factor goes into the fact that they serve alcoholic milkshakes. That’s on the bucket list for next time I want to clog my arteries!

I was not sure I wanted to try Dope Burger. The previous place(Noodle Ranch) I didn’t care for and I heard it was the same owners. But my cravings got the best of me the other day and I needed a burger ASAP!!! So happy I had a craving! I had the surfer on avocado, burger with an egg and avocado. YUM! They had this«Dope» sauce, yes that’s what they call it and it was DOPE!!! I also got the avocado fries, yes avocado fries!!! They were crunchy and soft at the same time. They make a special ranch that is saranch. It’s sriracha and ranch mixed together. YUM!!! I also got the chocolate shake. It was perfect! It had a huge straw, I didn’t know what to think at first but then when I got a huge mouth full of chocolate I was in heaven! We also got the chili fries, but they seemed on the dryer side to our liking. I will be going back to Dope burger for sure. Side note: You can take it to go and eat at Juju if you want to enjoy Juju’s happy hour.

Have walked by Dope Burger several times waiting for just the right time to be in the mood for a burger to try it out. True to its name the menu was filled with several types of burgers. As I went through the ingredients they all seemed pretty similar adding or removing an item here and there. But if you’re a burger person and particular about your burgers then that’s exactly what you’re looking for, a burger done the way you want it. Food: I decided to go with the Chicago burger which comes with American cheese, relish, celery salt, sport peppers, iceberg, tomato, yellow mustard & dope sauce. Since I’m a fan of peppers it seemed the logical choice. The bun is on the larger size which is pretty much all you see when you look at the burger but there is quite a bit of ingredients they just get consumed by the big bun which kept it a bit cleaner than most to eat. The peppers were a great added touch. Burger itself was cooked to perfection. It’s average size(1/3lb) burger for most restaurants so no surprises there. Overall a really good burger. I also went with a side of chilli & cheese fries which sounded really good at the time. The portion is rather large. The fries were soggy, the chilli had some sort of sweet taste to it and looked very dry. I could only stomach a few of these which I hate wasting but I’m sure my stomach & sphincter will thank me later. Also had a side of House made Avocado fries which I was curious about being that I really like Avocado’s. They were amazing, I’d definitely stop by for those. And you have to get the Sriracha/Ranch dipping sauce. It just completes them. Price: For 2 people ordering 2 burgers, 2 sides and a shake it was about $ 28 which is on the higher side for just a burger place but considering the location and the fact that if you’re here you’re out for the night it seems comparable to the area. Décor: Very open seating area with a bar in the back that has bar stools to sit at. There’s plenty of room to pick a spot and have a bit of seating space and not worry about being smashed against the wall or sitting in the aisle. There are also a few tables out front on the patio for when the sun decides to make a cameo appearance. Definitely a Hipster spot. Since I spend quite a bit of time in this area I’ll definitely be back.

Unfortunately for my arteries, I have been compulsively eating every burger in Seattle. The reuben burger at Dope is the best burger I’ve had so far. It is perfect. Best burgers in Seattle. It’s science: 1. Big burger, but not too big to fit in my big mouth. 2. Three words, peanut butter bacon.(Don’t hate, it’s divine.) 3. Juicy goodness. 4. Honestly friendly service. 5. Lots of fried sides with lots of sauces. 6. Open late. 7. Comfortable atmosphere. Let me elaborate on #1. Burgers in Seattle are getting better and better. And some burger joints equate better with bigger. My gaping maw is one of the biggest in Seattle, yet even I have a hard time getting some Seattle burgers in my pie hole. If I have to cut it in half, squish it down, and use 42 napkins, then the burger is too big. Just saying.

A burger joint in belltown? ‘Bout time! Good to see something different with all the asian-fusian joints in the neighborhood. I was a huge fan of the Noodle Ranch but I can understand why they changed formats. I think they have a really creative selection of burgers, with some unique treats like the avocado fries. Plus the servers and bartenders there are genuinely nice– which can be a rarity these days.

Went out for lunch to escape from work, and stumbled upon this place. I had the spicy chicken which was really good. The prices are okay for the burger $ 6-$ 7, but the fries are an extra $ 3.25 up to $ 4.00 for sweet potato/onion rings/etc. The atmosphere is a little creepy, really dark towards the back, but they had the tv going, which made it a little better. The servers seemed really nice and would come by to make sure you had what you needed. Also, it’s good to know that they charge an extra $ 0.50 for ranch/thousand island/tartar/etc, just in case you need to have those for your fries/onion rings. Overall it was good, but nothing great, and I’m not sure the prices really reflect what you get.

Dope Burger is ok. I think in order for me to be a fan, they need to work on their vegetarian options. They currently only have two vegetarian options: the Super Mario and the Sloppy Jane. The Super Mario is a portobella mushroom, stuffed with cheese and avocado and deep fried and then put into a burger bun. It’s good for a couple of bites, but by the end, you just feel greasy and bloated. I think a lot of people don’t eat meat to feel healthier, and the Super Mario definitely doesn’t support that. The other option, the Sloppy Jane, is just nasty. On a burger bun, they have some sort of beet, rice and raisin mush. Yes, raisins. It’s ok for a few bites, but then it’s just kind of gross. So mushy… and raisins, on a burger. They allow you to substitute any beef burger with the Sloppy Jane, but really, it’s not the same. They need to just carry boca or gardenburgers for that. The third time I went, I ordered the surfer on avocado with chicken — this was a fried egg with avocado on top of chicken. The chicken was chewy, but other than that, this was the best thing I’ve had here. Another redeeming factor is that their buns are real solid — they don’t tear or leak, which seems to be an epidemic in this country. Prices are fair — about $ 7 for a burger, but that doesn’t include fries. They have fries, onion rings, fried avocado and fried mushrooms, all for about $ 3 each. The fried mushrooms are kind of watery and the fried avocado is definitely not worth it. **Quick tips: If you’re a vegetarian, don’t go: you’ll be miserable. Eat the surfer on avocado if you eat beef or chicken. Do not order the avocado fries.**

This is probably a great place to go if you’re high. The staff seemed high, and they knew the scruffy and longhaired customers by name. The bartender wouldn’t make a Manhattan because it took too much effort — no joke. Duuuude. My burger was pretty good, but the bun was burnt. And it’s a bit ridiculous that fries are $ 3 extra but they were good too. This place needs to make some major changes. Otherwise I’d place bets that they’ll close within a year. *EDIT: This place caught on fire and is closed now. I bet they got high and forgot to turn off the ovens.*

I’ll be surprised if this place lasts another six months in business. A few of us were looking for some last minute eats in Belltown and came across Dope Burger, the old Noodle Ranch. The Inside: The insides resembled what you’d find in a Beastie Boys video circa 1988 and that was the exactly the music they played the entire time we were there… loads and loads of Beastie Boys. Lots of graffiti artwork and bizarre color choices. It looks like they did minimal changes to the old Noodle Ranch setup. It looks like it fits into the Belltown environment like Lil’ Jon would blend into the Seattle Opera. If this place was in say the U-District or perhaps Wallingford, it might do better. The Food: It was as generic of a burger place as I could ever imagine. For a $ 6 burger, I’d expect something that was a bit more nirvana on the tongue. It tasted pretty much what you’d get at a Kid Valley, so not bad, but just not worth the $ 6 price. They charge you for all the extras, like fries and such too. If you want a full meal of a burger, fries and perhaps a drink, it’ll set you back about $ 11-$ 12. As the interior wasn’t much to write home about, I don’t think the prices were warranted. My burger was well cooked to the point that the only juiciness came from what they referred to as «Dope Sauce»(which appears to be on everything). The guy serving us revealed a bit about it, «a little mustard, a little ketchup, some mayo and some secret spices I can’t reveal». Seriously? Can’t you pretty much mix that at McDonald’s? It tasted like plain ol’ mayo to me. The Bar: I was shocked that this place actually had a bar, or better defined as what looks to be some guy’s home bar that they stuck in the back of the restaurant. They had several types of beer on tap(e.g. Blue Moon, Manny’s, etc), but their spirits selection was pretty sparse. The Staff: I agree with the prior reviewer as the staff looked like they were stoned and the smoke was not by way of the grill. While they were nice and relatively attentive, it looked like the place was more of a hang out pad for them rather than an actual business. I wouldn’t have been surprised if I saw a couple of the staff playing Playstation in the background. Would I Go Back? Probably not. It really doesn’t fit into the Belltown vibe and comes across as kind of a fly by night place. For the price you pay, you aren’t getting much in the way of value or taste. Try Kid Valley in Lower Queen Anne if you are really jones’n for a burger.

Sorry Belltown but you got a crap burger place… I was looking forward to trying this place(cheap burgers, diner style) but was sooo disappointed. The service was fine and the milkshake was creamy and delicious. There you go, finished the high points. The burger is cheap meat cooked till it is gray and crumbling. The buns are toasted till burnt with black spots, yet cold… how is this possible? Not sure, but they pulled it off. No flavor and sloppy with their dope sauce, which is reminiscent of off brand 1,000 Island dressing… I was hoping for a «Dicks» style or «Red Mill» but I got crap. Ski Lodge burgers are twice as good. AVOID this place.

I really wanted to like Dope Burger. First star is taken away for the blehness of the restaurant. Is that even a word? They basically didn’t change anything(minus painting one wall!) since it was Noodle Ranch. Shouldn’t a new joint at least get a bit of a make over? Next star is taken away for the horrible service. There were a total of maybe 10 customers. It took over 30 minutes to order and get our burgers! They were not super thick patties, not like they were cooking for 15 minutes. Oh and we were served by two different people(one gave us menu/took order) another brought food, drinks etc… one was nice other seemed to not want to be at work. The third star was taken away for a misleading burger. I ordered the reuben stunner. It was a burger with SHAVED pastrami, sauerkraut and thousand island. I was excited about this burger and so was my friend. The burger itself was good. The bun was toasted(nice touch) however the said pastrami? It was like double the thickness of thick cut bacon and not cooked well(it was not tender). It was so thick and fatty and not properly cooked that it couldn’t be eaten. What a shame. I asked about the SHAVED pastrami as I was leaving. I guess it’s always the way I got it. The burger would have been pretty good if it actually had shaved pastrami on it. Maybe next time I’ll bring my own from I love NY deli and ask them to throw it on top? If there is a next time. In all honesty it’s not a bad spot but it isn’t amazing and I sure as hell wouldn’t recommend coming here on your lunch break because honestly if you get the kind of service we got yesterday you won’t get back from lunch in time.

In 3 words — not so dope. Burger was average and pretty messy and not well put together. I do like a toasted bun, however this one was burned and too stiff. There was a big black ring of burned bun on the bottom — guess they’re not using a toaster or grill on that one.
The fries and onion rings were extra, but not worth 3.50 extra. The rings were basically very crusty ones — nothing that had been prepared with care. Ambiance was bland — they had done the minimal makeover to the old Noodle Ranch and it wasn’t very inviting. Seriously, after one visit I cannot think of a reason to go back there. There are better burger choices nearby to make me choose this place. Even Dicks would be better than this. And to think they closed Noodle Ranch for this? I miss it already.

Looks great from the menu and website, and has all the right credentials — solid burger fundamentals(onion rings, shakes, etc.) with some interesting burger creations but nothing too wacky. The reality is this is just an adequate burger patty coupled with a heavily-mayo-flavored sauce and a bunch of average fried foods. The onion rings didn’t appear to be housemade, the fries could have been, but this whole place was swimming in mediocrity. That said, I’m sure it will do well with its full bar and long hours.

hahaha Dope Burger is owned by the same folks who owned Noodle Ranch? No wonder they were acting all cool when I kept asking them if they were going to get rid of anything and everything reminiscent of Noodle Ranch. That aside they’re all very friendly and more importantly the burgers are really good! I had the mushroom burger and it was great. The vegetarian burger(battered and deep-fried portabella cap) looked really good as well. A terrific addition to the neighborhood. Check it out. They’re worth supporting.

Yeeah boo-eee, they got the dope burgers, the dope fries and the dope shakes, Yo. Do people still say dope to express the quality of a thing? The last things I remember being dope were sneaks, beats and Kangols. Didn’t dope switch over to bomb-ass shortly after that? I also was under the impression that Rapture-era shadowed graffiti style had progressed into Juxtapoz magazine tattoo art style. Given that, Dope Burger is maybe the first retro place that is not of the sixties. Located in the old Noodle Ranch space, Dope Burger is owned by the same folks. A great idea for the neighborhood as Belltown doesn’t really have a burger joint until now. A bang-up spot to sit in the window and people watch on a snowy night and they will have sidewalk seating when weather permits. Surprise of all surprises: it’s not overpriced and pretentious. Good olé burgers and fries and shakes. There are some interesting menu items, too. We tried the avocado fries, but I found they sound better on paper than in my mouth. The avocado inside is just very hot green mush. Oh well, at least we tried, right? Sweetheart had the portabello«burger» which was very good while I stuck to the basic Dope Burger. I think the highlight is the toasted bun — just a bit larger than the patty so your grub stays inside where it belongs instead of on the plate or dripping down your arm. They have a bar. Plus. They project movies onto the wall. Plus. They offer veggie and vegan options. More plusses. They are fair priced. Our two burgers, one avocado fries and a PBR Tallboy came to $ 21.50 before tip, so burgers are in the 5 – 7 dollar range. Staff is friendly and service is quick. It’s not the most outrageous burger ever to cross my lips, but it’s damn fine and well worth it. Very dope, indeed.

Having found the place by looking for the Noodle Ranch… I had to tell the hubby about a place with such an excellent name. For a place that just opened, it was pretty busy. I think it could be a good addition to the neighborhood… especially right next to Mama’s. I ordered the Surfer on Avocado and the wedge salad. Although the wedge salad seemed a little drenched with dressing, I couldn’t stop eating it — I think i was the bacon bits. The burger had avocado and a fried egg which was interesting… but I think I had too much«dope sauce» because the nicely toasted bun eventually was too soggy for me to eat. My partner in crime had the blue cheese burger with fries. He said he thought the burger was better than 5 guys. Fries were ok, too. I think our biggest complaint is the music was sooo not happening. With a name like Dope Burger and graffiti circa 1995 on the walls… wouldn’t it make sense to have some old school hip hop?!

I saw robin’s review so i headed straight down there to check it out. Since it is brand new i didn’t expect much, but the service was excellent. As for the menu it has some fun options. I kept it basic and got the one with the namesake, it had a buttery flat bun that was sort of interesting, although since the meat doesn’t fill it out it’s a bit dissapointing like beer googles and skinny jeans in the morning. I didn’t check out the bar but I’m glad it’s there because although i love many of the happy hour joins around town it is a pain to get what i want that fast but this is clearly tailored to that crowd so i’m willing to bet they’ll have better service since the selection is decent. I didn’t like the fact that the burger was medium rare as I like mine well done and expect that by default but it didn’t taste bad. I will go back in a couple of weeks because I’m sure they will incorporate new feedback in that will improve their business. But for now it’s a meh.

My best friend and I were hankering for some burgers tonight, and she mentioned that her coworker had suggested this new place, «Dope Burger.» I sadly told her that it wasn’t opened yet b/c I live close by and they were still working on the inside. So it was quite to our pleasant surprise that as we were walking past heading to a DIFFERENT burger joint, we saw the«OPEN» neon lights shining in the window!!! The inside is cool — very reminiscent of burger joints from the 80’s. Cool graffiti designs on the walls. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chill, which is cool, but then again, that’s how most of the bars on that strip feel(Shorty’s, Lava Lounge, etc), so it fits right in in the location. For dinner, I had(you guessed it), the Dope Burger. I asked that they put caramelized onions on my burger instead of the raw onions, and damn, was I happy I suggested that! The buns are interesting — kind of flat but a soft top and a nice crispy bottom. They’re magical and kind of hard to explain. All burgers come just by themselves, so you have to add on the fries, etc. They have these avocado fries(which I didn’t try), but I guess they have an avocado batter on them — sound delicious! I got a regular side of fries. The fries were fine — a side is enough for one person, FYI — crispy and golden, but to be honest, I’m not sure the portion size was worth $ 3.25 worth of potato. To top it off, I got a chocolate milkshake. Our server mentioned that the bartender will even put in alcohol in the shakes if you’d like, but I just got mine plain. It came in a plastic disposable cup(think Starbucks frap) with a pile of whipped cream, a straw AND a spoon. DELISH! My burger was super tasty, and it’s really filling on it’s own. Would probably skip the fries next time or just eat a couple off someone else’s plate, b/c they’re not really anything to write home about. The servers were super nice and cool. The ONLY complaint I would have is that we sat near the bar(a little more than halfway into the restaurant), and it was still SUPER cold from the front door just opening and closing a few times. We ate with our winter coats on. Maybe crank up the heat a little? Good job Dope Burger! You guys are gonna KILL in that location and I’m super happy to have awesome milkshakes so close by!
