I came here mostly for Alley Burger, but because it was just dinner and not late-night, ended up chilling at the bar until my food was prepared(pro tip: at dinner hour, place your burger order at the bar) I was pretty disappointed with the selection. When I go to bars, I always try to order something on tap. Why? Because I can open my own bottle at home, thank you very much. Unfortunately, they only had Mannie’s on tap that night. While I thought that was just a momentary«oh we’ll connect a new keg soon for the others», in the 20 minutes I was sitting there, they made no effort to ameliorate the situation. I mean seriously– what kind of bar only has one beer on tap? Punk rock was blaring on the stereo and the TVs were showing college women’s soccer, so it definitely lived up to it’s Unilocal reputation. I am mostly giving the stars for the fact that service was friendly despite my being alone and only there to order my(excellent) burger. I don’t think I’d come back to Juju if it weren’t for the burger.

Stopped by here on a Thursday night on our walk back to our Hotel. Had less than 8 people patrons here. Just wanted to try the photobooth. Which is in the very back. across the bathroom. peeee — yoooou. Stanky. The booth is completelyyy tagged up and it stank just sitting in there so we walked right out.

Love this bar! I try to stop by whenever I am in Seattle. It’s very loud, but very chill and a great place to hangout. The atmosphere of the place has that divey and rather classy feel to it. What I really like about JUJU is that they don’t play those top 40 genres you hear everywhere! Great bartenders, and cheaply priced drinks. They have industrial nights(I think it’s every night from like 9−2am or something like that) and it’s a beer and a shot of Jameson for $ 6! Easy, fast, and cheap way to get drunk! Highly recommend the place.

I love this bar! Hands down one of my favorites in Seattle. All the bartenders are the epitomy of awesome, and they make amazing and affordable drinks. Happy hour special is 2 for 1= Amanzingness! Atmosphere is low key, come as you are. Beautiful art on the walls, blown glass fixtures, slightly dark but in a cool way. Love the music, the dj, and their playlists; top notch old school, eclectic hip hop. They always have sports on(love) and have front and back patios(rare in belltown!). Great to kick off the evening or close it down! Good to grab a table on the patio for those rare sunny days!

My favorite bar in Seattle so far. The hip-hop vibe was awesome but at the same time super relaxed. Most of the music the DJ was playing was old school hip-hop, and it fit the vibe perfectly. The Chronic 2001, 2Pac, Notorious BIG, etc. The bar itself is very spaced out so you don’t feel cramped even if there’s a big crowd. Last time we went we found a booth next to the incredible artwork of Tupac, Kid Vicious and other notorious celebrities and had ourselves a great night. Like some of the other reviewers’ have said, the photo booth is a awesome touch. Pictures came out awesome!

JUJU us an awesome bar! Small and cozy, plus the staff is awesome. I stumbled into JUJU on my Belltown Bar-hopping adventure. With a skull on the sign I knew I was destined to go inside. Cool blown glass flames adorned the top of the bar. Dimly lit and neat light fixtures were everywhere. Drink specials… you bet! Can’t beat the 2 for 1 Happy Hour deal. Plus, you can have all the free popcorn you want while watching whatever sports game is on the TV. This is certainly a place I would come back to. Good times and good people.

This is one of the first bars my husband and I stumbled into after moving to Seattle over a year ago, and we keep going back. Dark, casual, stiff(cheap!) drinks with a 2 for 1 happy hour deal. Not a huge selection of wine or draft beer, but if that is what you are after then there are plenty of other places in Belltown for you. If what you are after is a low key, kinda dark punk-rock feel with excellent service and friendly but not«in your face» patrons, Juju is the place for you. They have 1 or 2TV’s and are usually playing extreme sports silently, and a photo booth with is always fun after a few drinks. They allow dogs, which is a plus for us, and have a back AND front patio. The only downside is that at a certain point of night, regardless of the crowd/event/or day of the week, the music gets doubled in volume and it can be difficult to hear yourself think, let alone hear your friends talk. Depending on the night and the mood, this can be a good or bad thing!

Great place. Nice friendly service. AWESOME atmosphere. LOVE the art and décor. Excellent place to come in and relax after a rough day. Easy to forget the worries of the day there. And to meet nice new people and actually get to know them. Cool happy hour policy, prolly one of the BEST I have found. Little place that gets lost in the nightlife of the area but a great find to just stop in and one,

Good — cool décor, good drinks, good bartenders, quick service. Bad — DIRTY. The toilet seat resembled very much like an outdoor concert port-a-potty: ladies, be prepared to work those squatting thigh muscles. Spilled drinks/possibly vomit on the floor of seating booths, some parts of the seat. UBER loud music for such small space. I really liked all the arts and décor of this place but damn, it was filthy, especially the bathroom. We sat at the bar. They were playing rock music, which I like but was WAY too loud I had to scream to converse with people. Its a pretty divey joint but I wouldn’t have guessed that from all the hip art and chandeliers around bar.

Pretty awful music on Fri. night, super loud rock. Bartenders are fantastic and quick — drinks come strong. Good private party seating area towards the back, has an outdoor patio out back.

I went last night to go bar hoppin… and although this place seems dark and eerie, they have GREAT music, i.e., hip hop and some old skool classics. I like this place & the bartender was super nice. & he was kinda cute, dancin’. I ordered a Margarita, which was alright. Not enough Tequilla. and i also had a Tiger Blood(too strong for me). It was great though. Love the atmosphere.

This place is fun. Love the décor and location… Their happy hour is great, buy one drink, get the second one free until 7pm. when you buy your first drink during HH, they give you a neat JuJu token(like from a casino) with which to redeem your next drink:) I also love the photo booth after about an hour into HH, my fridge is covered in delightfully drunken photo booth moments from this place. I do avoid the JuJu on Friday and Saturday nights, just like the rest of Belltown,(stupid hipsters, you ruin everything!). One of my friends is flying back from out of state in June and is trying to coordinate his travel times so that he gets in early afternoon and can go directly to the JuJu.

Juju, juju… how do I love thee? Let me count the ways… *Shandy– best tender to ever happen to a bar. *happy hour-buy one get one free for all wells/beers. *heated, covered back patio for the smokers *free movie theatre style popcorn *photo booth for when you get especially tipsy *you can bring dogs! Need I say more? The only negative I can say about Juju is that I prefer to get the hell out of there before 8 or 9 if it’s the weekend, because the weekend Belltown crowd starts showing up and I start feeling like I’m on Jersey Shore or something with all the popped collars and sparkly dresses, but I’m usually there on weekdays anyway. Oh, and there are a lot of creepy pigeons out back too, but they usually leave you alone.

I can’t knock Juju’s…There’s a photobooth which is always great fun! We caught some snaps there the other night! I’ve always had a great time at Juju’s and find it cozier than other spots in Belltown. People seem to be friendlier and more laid back instead of some of the wierdos you catch at the other bars in the area. The service has always been awesome and you avoid the overcrowding like at other spots.

Fantastic place to start an evening out if you choose Belltown. It’s swanky, dark, spacious, and good for large groups… we went with a gaggle of ten girls and loved the black rectangular seating, which is perfect for anywhere from 2 – 20 people. The black-and-white paintings of celebrity mug shots from the ‘50s and ‘60s complimented the ambiance. And by this I mean it added a little bit of swag. My friends also dug the photo booth — embarrassing pictures are tagged on Facebook to prove it. Just trust me: when your friend, squeezed next to 3 other people in the photobooth, yells«Scary face!» right before the photo goes off, don’t ACTUALLY do your scariest face like I did. Evidently you’ll look like a maniac. The bartender, I should mention, is a hottie who seems like he has a brain. This be good, ain’t bad 2 talk too. He was a little offish at first(after all, who wouldn’t be offish to a group of females out on a Saturday night??) but when I implored and asked how he’s doing, he turned into Mr. Congeniality, smiled, and complained a bit about the heat. Ah yes — Juju ain’t air conditioned, which can be a little tough in July. Other bars on 2nd Ave that boasted«We’re air conditioned!» in signage were bursting at the seams with bar patrons at 9pm, so maybe this bar should take note? Juju is a great place to meet for drinks with a pretty nifty back patio. Follow it up with some dancing, and you’ve got a complete downtown on the prowl night out.

Found this place through friends. It’s actually really cool, lots of great art, a full bar And staff that’s really nice and attentive. The back patio is nice but be warned, people can smoke anywhere so you’re going to stink. Also the kip pond is cute but too small for so many koi and th pigeons love to swoop down and drink from there, resulting in possible poo-beer. Thera no food so eat first unless you’ll be satisfied with popcorn(still the best damn popcorn I’ve ever had.) I WILL return.

Another bar in the concentrated mecca of drinking holes between Bell and Blanchard. Q: Why Juju when nearby there’s Shorty’s, Lava, Rob, Karma, Buddha, Rendezvous, and Bathtub? A: Not sure. Maybe you want a place classier than Lava but not as douchey as Rob Roy? Maybe you want a lounge that’s not as crowded as the others? Maybe you you’re from out of town and you don’t know that Shorty’s has pinball and sauerkraut dogs? Anywho, not a bad place for a drink.

A night of good Juju here; blazin’ music, awesome scene, good strong drinks is all here. Bartenders proved to be nice(got a free glass of marachino cherries), music was upbeat and blasting! Low lighting made me want to steal the chandeliers for my room! Go here for a girl’s night out. Highly possible to score free drinks from fellow males.

I was waiting for some friends to show up for a b-day dinner right down the street and had some time to kill so the bf and I stumbled across this place for a quick drink. We walked up and down the street trying to find a place that would be «appropriate» for running in and having a quick drink without any fuss. It was perfect for what it was — we hopped over to the bar really fast, got a drink for $ 4 or $ 5, which for Belltown, seems pretty reasonable for me. The bartenders were friendly enough — they seemed to know a lot of the regulars around here. The bar was completely empty around 8:30 or so… with only 3 or 4 other patrons, but when we walked past it a few hours later, there were people crowded outside in the little smoking area, so it looked like it picked up a bit. I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to come here… but it was exactly what we were looking for and it served its purpose so no complaints here! It looks a little dark and dingy inside… but maybe it’s a good vibe for later at night.
