I don’t usually come here but I didn’t have time to get Starbucks on my way to work. I ordered a hot chocolate which wasn’t anything spectacular. Found a hair baked into my cookie ¾ of the way into it. Gross and yuck…

Nice people; always attentive and they seem to go out of their way to get to know the regulars. Good coffee: you’re expected and very standard espresso offering. OK snack selection: not a huge selection, and not exceptionally well stocked, so if you’re in after 8am, you may be left with not much choice. Thus far, its pretty standard baked goods, nothing you’ll crave, but just fine if you missed breakfast. I have found that they are a bit more expensive than two other coffee joints within a 2 block radius. I have also discovered that if you’re pressed for time, you’re out of luck. The ordering process is a bit slow(I’m signing a receipt on a $ 3 transaction paid with a debit card — why?), only some of their baristas ask ahead of the cashier for orders so you won’t have to wait, and sometimes the lone barista is also heating sandwiches, slowing things to a crawl. OK «on the go» coffee shop for those that may not have time to go a bit out of their way.

I stopped in for a latte and asked for directions. Ellen was very helpful and full of information. Friendly and has her product knowledge down!

I stopped by Diva Espresso this morning before a meeting in Smith Tower. Great coffee. Super nice baristas. Lovely space. Whenever possible, I prefer to support the small coffee houses. Great little artsy space — truly representative of Seattle. I will go there whenever I’m in the neighborhood!

I have been there a few times over the past few years. Each time the service is slow, employees are too busy talking to the people they know. The last and final straw was when they forgot to make my drink again. I stopped going for coffee. More recently i started stopping 3 times a week for an apple fritter in the mornings. They cost 1.95 when they have them. Yesterday, i went in and she said it would be 3.01. WHAT? I was told they are trying out a new vendor. We’ll I should have saved my money. It was the worst apple fritter i’ve ever had. They used a wheat type dough and i’m not sure what else besides apples was in it. They have now lost all of my business. The only nice thing i have to say is: There was a very nice young man who worked the register. I don’t know his name but at least he was the nicest person there.

Had an unfortunate experience here today. I came in, bought a cup of coffee, and asked the barista if they had wifi. He says they do, and explained the password was listed on little cards at each table. In short, the wifi didn’t work at all(on my phone or laptop), and when I brought this up, he didn’t care to do much to fix it. It’s not like the coffee here is exceptional, so why would anyone come here when the wifi doesn’t even work?

Just stopped in and I’m impressed. If I still worked downtown I would be a regular. If I remember correctly this used to be a Starbucks. This is a much better use of the space! Also, they have almond milk… Plus hemp, rice and soy. Wow! I asked what some of the drinks were and the barista explained them all to me! So nice. I will be back next time I am nearby.

Just opened! They’re accessible just off the lobby of the Smith Tower, so it’s perfect for office monkeys like me, or people needing a little caffeine before heading up to the building’s observation deck. Friendly staff, a pastry case of fresh goodies, and a pretty darn good latte. They had a selection of gluten-free and vegan pastries as well. They’re also offering pre-made sandwiches, which I was able to sample this morning — if the rest of that pastrami sandwich is as good as that sample, I can tell I’ll be here a lot.

The wonderful folks at Diva Espresso downtown make our morning complete! Not only is the coffee delicious(and *not* burnt bean water), the staff is great to talk with… and they know how to multitask so good conversation never interrupts the excellent service. I live in Kent, so don’t have a Diva close to home — so wish I did! Diva has gratefully earned 10 thumbs up!

Great coffees and yummy baked goods. I just wish they had a grill to make sandwiches. My favorite item is their Soma shakes with vanilla powder. Sooooo delicious and flavorful. The staff is nice and a great welcome to the work day.

I keep going back to this coffee shop and I don’t know why. The bitchy barista guy is so RUDE to me… throwing my pastry around, not saying hello, and just trying to ignore me. His attitude bothers me. Well you know what… I’ll walk by your store and go to Starbucks. They are always friendly and take the time to acknowledge me.

Great spot to grab a hot drink and some snacks, like a scone. Very friendly staff and lots of variety of drinks. There several nice tables and chairs where you can kick back with friends or alone with a book or a laptop. But it’s’ pretty popular so you might find seating limited. But that’s a good sign, right? I went here twice and each time tried a different scone. I noticed both were a little lacking in flavor. Not sure why. I usually get Starbuck’s scones and love them. So maybe I’m just used to their product. But there are other options here so see what you think. But I also love to support the local-owned, smaller shops like this so I’ll keep coming back for hot chocolate when in town. But I might smuggle in a scone from elsewhere. ;)

Meh. Espresso was okay, service was nice but slow to rev up(I love standing at a counter waiting for someone three feet away to notice and acknowledge me). Space is okay, nice tables but otherwise feels kind of soulless. Cherry Street beats this place hands down.

As the Duke of Diva, I’ve been here a lot. The coffee is great, the espresso is good, the staff are dynamite. The food is decent but pre-made, the baked goods usually offer gluten free options and a few token apples are usually near the cashier. The location is in the lobby of a government building, so I think they close early(5pm?) and are not open on the weekends. There is a lot of traffic and often meetings happening at all the tables which gives it a totally different feel than your typical Seattle café. The line gets long in the morning, and it gets a little confusing as it double backs on itself but you’ll get through it eventually. All-in-all, a nice friendly spot AND if you’re looking to rub elbows with local government officials, this is your spot!

Nice, strong coffee when the office-brewed coffee just isn’t cutting it. Extremely friendly staff, very convenient location(esp if you work in the building). Lunch items are a little pricey, and aren’t anything to write home about.

Friendliest baristas ever! And they make a mean americano. I attended a conference in the Chinook Building and spent many breaks enjoying their coffee and treats. The lines can get long at times, but no one was deterred(that’s a good sign!) I will definitely return when I’m in the area, and make time to visit their West Seattle location by my house!

Best coffee shop in the Chinook building! .also the only one. The staff is friendly, the food is somewhat varied and okay, the drinks are served fresh and the seating is sturdy and well-lit. Not the sort of place to sit and study or read for hours, but a good enough place to stop in if you need a last minute bite to eat or quick caffeine fix. It’s closest competition is in the ground floor coffee/food stand in the neighboring County Administration building(a.k.a. the Honeycomb).

I am so happy to know where this Diva is… so happy. It is going to be my coffee shop near work. The employees are nice, the service fast, and the coffee good. Plus there are these luxury biscotti that look amazing. I haven’t had one yet, but give me time. The vibe, which is indeed critical to the Seattle coffee experience, calmly walks the line between place to setup a laptop, place to chat with your friends, and place to stare out the large windows when it is raining. This will do indeed.

Diva is the best and they just added a store on First Hill. No more bad coffee from Harborview. :p Not fancy décor but good coffee… vary good coffee. Much better than other local coffee coffee shops with no frills.

Located within the building that I work in, this location is super convenient. Staff is always usually friendly and the coffee is always freshly made and hot. Décor is standard coffee shop which in no way is a bad thing. Prices are a little on the high side especially for the«lunch» items like salads and sandwiches. The shop can get real busy as well so expect to wait depending on the time.
