Service here is pretty great. They are always friendly and doing their best to get you on your way quickly. They have a variety of desserts, breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, and bottled drinks(in addition to any coffee drinks you want made). I think pricing is relatively reasonable. About $ 2.50 for a croissant sandwich or bagel. You’re basically paying for the convenience which I don’t mind since I work across the street.

This review details a great place to sit down and enjoy an expresso, cola, iced tea, snacks, or small meals when your business takes you to the King County Courthouse and you don’t have much time to venture to nearby downtown eateries. Snack bars in the courthouse do not have seating areas and the 4th avenue caffé has five tables to sit at. Although located across 4th Ave from the King County Courthouse there is easy access from within the courthouse to the caffé by taking courthouse elevator to first floor, walking under the downtown street through a pedestrian tunnel, arriving at the King County Administration building, taking elevator to first floor and arriving at the 4th avenue caffé in the lobby. The expresso menu hanging from the ceiling describes the various drink sizes using the imperial system of fluid ounces abbreviated by 8oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz. The system of describing drink sizes is much easier to understand than the coffee stands that use whimsical terms such as «Tall» or «Grande Supremo». The self serve refrigerator is packed with a huge variety of canned and bottled beverages, yogurts, fruits, and cheeses. Although I couldn’t easily find my favorite Snapple in the crowded fridge the barista directed me to the correct shelf and which side to get at my lemon iced tea choice. Next to the beverage fridge is a pastry case with three shelves of cakes, quiches, croissants, cinnamon rolls, and other baked items. The lower half of the pastry case has an open refrigerator with pre made salads and sandwiches. I picked an everything bagel with turkey and cream cheese and accepted the barista’s offer of putting my sandwich in the panini press to grill and warm it up. She explained that the grill time would be only be two minutes so not to worry that the cream cheese would not ooze out and make messy eating. Two large rectangular baskets of cookies, brownies, apples, muffins, granola, and oatmeal cups are next to the cash register. Out of reach is a shelf of potato chip bags piled high that could come down in the next geological tremor the city experiences. When the grilled turkey bagel was done it was perfect and inspired me to write this review. The sandwich was handed back to me rewrapped in foil and inside a small paper sack ready for travel even though I chose to eat it right away at the nearest table. Unwrapping the foil I could see toasty grill marks on each side of the everything bagel and my dress shirt I picked out earlier in the morning for the court hearing to come appreciated that cream cheese was not oozing out.

this place is BAD alllll the time. I work in the building so I have been giving them a shot off and on for 6 years now and I rarely get anything fresh. the sandwiches and salads look OK on top but after you pay $ 6 for it and get back to your desk it’s wet or moist on bottom, or has old wilted lettuce inside or the bread is hard and old. it’s always something with this place! Their food is OLD and recycled! The coffee is gross, all the time. they recycle their doughnuts from one morning to the next and try to mix in the old and new. I even got a expired Snapple from here before! the only thing they have that is consistently OK is their hard boiled eggs and a cheese stick. also their turkey and provolone Panini is OK.

Yummy little salads, like pasta salads and stuffsss. They have sandwiches, salads and other good treatsss. And of course drinks(coffee, etc). I’ve only ever been after work, but I’m sure it gets busy during lunch with all the business/govt workers in the area.

If you think free casino coffee’s bad… there’s even worse. For a business that does 90 percent of its sales in coffee drinks, unbelieveably bad coffee! Ever left your coffee pot on for hours at home, poured yourself a cup and took a sip? Bingo. Yuck.
