I love this coffee joint. Quiet, warm and cozy. Right on the street corner. Windows all around and they have a tiny food menu with pizza, calzones or salads. They also have pastries and bagels. The herb bagel is so sooo good! Bring a lot of quarters because I believe it’s only street parking. Enjoy!

I love it here, the coffee is always top notch! And best of all I feel at home, they have the best staff… Z, Justin, Forrest, Emma & Jarai… with Eric who make the smoothest espressos and lattes and are fun to hang out with there! I never feel like it’s us(the customers) and them… they make me feel like I’m a part of their little family group :-) and even though I moved so it’s not always convenient to go to this Caffe Vita, I still make sure to go a couple times a week because I love the atmosphere of the place and the people… and of course the great coffee!

Even though Caffe Vita has been around for a good 20 years, I somehow never stopped into one until last Friday. After my visit, I know I’ll have to make an effort to visit this place more often. Despite being a huge coffee fan, I opted for a chai latte. I was happy to see they had it given just how limited their menu was. It was easily the best I ever had. It had a wonderful balance of all the warm flavors I want in a chai tea, but wasn’t overly sweet like others I have had. And the foam. Oh man, the foam. It was so velvety and delicious. As a former barista, I was very impressed! Caffe Vita is a bit on the pricey side, but what coffee shop isn’t these days? I also wasn’t a huge fan of the layout. I was actually meeting someone here on business, and there were very few tables set up for this kind of purpose. There was a good deal of bar style seating around the perimeter, as well as a large communal-type table. I ended up having to take a seat next to another customer and move when one of the smaller individual tables opened up. Even then, the table was located underneath the stairs, which made it difficult to keep an eye on the door for the person I was meeting. Just a really awkward kind of layout. With all that said, I highly recommend Caffe Vita. Though their menu is limited, their drinks are sheer perfection. Before stopping into another Starbucks, think about finding a nearby Caffe Vita instead!

Still liking the space. But have to take a star away for a few reasons. Prices have went up here. A grande mocha for instance is now over $ 5. It also seems to attract an interest mix of clientele of professionals and sketchy looking characters since it is close to Skid Row. But the main reason is the free Wi-Fi isn’t as reliable for work purposes than I would like. While it was easy to get onto the free Wi-Fi, the connectivity here was not very compatible with my company’s VPN so I couldn’t access everything that I needed. Though I want to note this issue isn’t specific to all Caffe Vita locations. I didn’t have a problem with the Wi-Fi working out of the Capitol Hill location. If you are visiting this coffee shop casually for a drink, it is perfectly fine. But if you intend to work here, you may want to think twice if you are depending on the reliability of the Wi-Fi.

Caffe mocha was great, and can even be made with non-dairy milk! The service was excellent.

Forest and Emily are masters of the cappuccino. Chug the cold brew and slam down the veal meatball sandwich. Not always in the budget($$) but totally worth it!

Good coffee and pastry options… and mmmmm, brick oven pizza/calzones are available weekdays from 11−4pm from Pizzeria Napoletana. Plenty of seating upstairs or down and good service too!

They spent lots of time asking a few heroin junkies if they wanted butter with their bagels and when it was my turn to order they rudely hurried me through the line. As for the coffee, the ristretto shots were quite sour. I suppose they could have given me two normal shots instead of four ristretto ones thinking I wouldn’t know the difference, either that or they just have really bad coffee.

Coffee was great, strong just the way I like it. Love the place and the ambience, very relaxing. Sucks I didn’t come here when they were serving pizza? Apparently they do but I’m not quite sure. I’d come here again definitely.

Sometimes it can be hard to find really good coffee in Seattle with Starbucks everywhere. They do roast their own coffee and make a good cup. A little out of the way from my office, but definitely worth the trip.

Always pass by here, when I’m on the 36 bus in the past. Finally get to try it. My wife needed coffee prior to the Chinese New Year celebrations in Chinatown. This place is in the beginning parts of downtown around a pretty crappy area. Where people of all sorts roam around. A pizzeria is also connected inside the place. They have an upstairs, as well as the main. The view from the south is pretty nice. The sun was shining on us, as we drank our drinks. You can see the sounder trains and regular trains blowing up smoke and leaving. I had an iced tea and my wife had a strong coffee. I liked their premade iced tea and she thought hers was too sweet, even though it was supposed to be strong. Going to try the bone tea next time.

Came to Caffe Vita quite early in the morning on our way to the airport and ordered some regular iced coffee. The coffee was great, and the atmosphere was pretty cool. Wish we would’ve come before our last day to actually hang out. Highly recommend!

This coffee hits the spot, luna is my favorite. The whole shop environment is so relaxing, you have an option to sit outside and enjoy that fresh rain fall or be surrounded by amazing tall full length windows, it’s an awesome shop with amazing coffee and baristas

An oasis that is the desert in the Walking Dead that is pioneer square. They sell coffee, pastries, pizza, and beer. Now open on Sundays during football season. The staff is always great and they can make some rare ass awesome coffee stuff.

Hours of operation(8 am — 2 pm on Sundays) posted here are incorrect. I was really looking forward to this place based on reviews, made my way over only to find it shut down at 8:45 a.m. Bummer, and a waste of my vacation time. Could be an innocent oversight yet such an easy thing to update if management cared enough.

An oasis in PeePeeLand ! I simply adore the coffee, the staff, the company, the art, the feng shui, the view ! I am so proud of my boyfriend and my self when we drink delicious coffee for breakfast rather than a fifth of vodka ! Caffe Vita makes sobriety tolerable ! Loitering possible ! Society palatable ! Join the recreation(re-creation) !

I can’t really review the actual coffee because today is the second time I ordered any coffee product in a café in… my life. Aside from this I don’t drink coffee, so I’m basically a coffee virgin. I ordered a mocha today and I enjoyed it. Couldn’t tell you if it was good or bad. Service was quick and friendly. I was initially nervous about ordering, since I have no idea about coffee and read some bad service reviews. I must’ve gotten lucky today? I do frequent coffee shops, however, because I like to chill out and relax. I typically order tea and read. The atmosphere here is not so much inviting or relaxing. Slightly chaotic even though it was practically empty when I arrived. The set up is anxiety-inducing, just so random and other than clean/neat/organized. And it’s loud and echo-y and sometimes you feel like there is an earthquake because of the train runnnig below — which is both annoying and exciting for me because I love trains. Anyway… Caffe Vita is sort of near my office, but there are coffeeshops that are closer that I’d likely frequent over this place. If I did return, I’d love to try the pizza here :) PS — free wifi, no password required :)

The coffee is good! But the service is less than desirable. I agree with the other comments… staff does not greet you, they take their time getting to you which is annoying bc people need to get to work in the morning. I think today was my last day there… to many other coffee shops downtown to have to deal with bad service. 1) I paid with my debit card, I had my hand out to receive the card and she pits it down on the counter. 2) I’m standing there to order but the cashier just keeps talking to the other person who had already paid and was served. 3) I am never greeted there 4) can I get a thank you for giving you business I’m all about supporting my local business people but not this one. Your coffee is not that great. Diva is just as good with better service, at least they know how to say hi and thank you. No wonder I don’t see my fellow co workers there and that says a lot.

Great coffee — I had a cup of single-origin Ethiopia Yergachiffe that was heavenly. I can say this much: I’ve gone to Stumptown many times and rolled my eyes when they reccomend that I «must try it like it is». Sure, yeah — maybe my first sip. But I inevitably want to add at least a LITTLE bit of cream and sugar once I taste it. Café Vita, however, served me up such a remarkably delicious cup of coffee(and just drip coffee!) that I gladly guzzled it down like I normally would a cup of tea. Also got a very tasty cappuccino to go. Only downside I can think of is that the prep area near the espresso maker and cooler was pretty gross and worn-down looking. Could be time for a new coat of paint.

Laptop camper here. Caffe Vita roasts my favorite coffee, so I’m interested in all of their locations. This one is on the edge of the International District, features two floors and is also home to Pizzeria Napoletana(pizza is available M — F, 11AM — 4PM) with its brick oven. The beans are roasted at their Capitol Hill location. * Americano: Very smooth and rich Vita’s Pioneer Square is a smaller location(but larger than the Fremont location) with an industrial look. The upstairs has a nice view, board games and books. There’s free wi-fi(yay) and a restroom. I didn’t see many pastries in the case — scones, donuts, cookies. For some reason there weren’t many laptop campers present. You know you love me. X0X0, laptop camper.
