Thai On Main

Place looks nice. There is live music. A bit crowded but the food came out fairly quickly and it was AMAZING!!!

Great Thai food. Lunch specials are a great deal soup rice and meal for under 10. I really like their conunut soup. It is delicious. I really just need more words to fill minimum. If you post a review you get a Thai tea. Sweet!

We had beef with Chinese broccoli, Tom yoong gun soup and pad Thai house combo. All dishes very tasty and just the right amount of spices and authentic Thai flavors. Thai iced tea really good and refreshing! We then had bottle of wine; half price!!! On Mondays. One last thing write a review on Unilocal and get a free ice tea!

This place has a great location Main Street seal beach. They have have great price for lunch. I tried the pad Thai it was good but nothing special. The shrimp bacon appetizer is pretty good.

This place continue to provide quality Thai food consistently. It is my daughter’s favorite Thai place.
Every time we walk on the Main street and see all the other resturants, we say we should check this place, we should check that place.
However, in the last 5 years we have not been to any other place than «Thai On Main».
Highly recommended!

First time try the Thai food here. Green curry is not bad choice and the egg roll is good.

The Coconut soup is the best I have had in a long while. Great big shrimp, and plenty of them.

I came here on my friend’s suggestion and the 4 star rating but I ultimately left unsatisfied and disappointed. Yes it’s clean and modern but the food just didn’t stack up compared to the countless other Thai restaurants I’ve dined in. I had the yellow curry and a little bit of my friend’s pineapple fried rice. Neither dish impressed. The rice dish was close to room temp. The yellow curry was quite thin, and could have used more chicken — or at least thicker cuts of it. The portion of rice wasn’t enough either.
service was okay, our waitress failed to take the rest of our party’s drink orders and my friend’s beer arrived pretty late — in fact we were all done with our food before my friend ever got his beer. We arrived well before their dinner rush but it got busier towards the end of our dinner which probably was why we weren’t really checked on.
Overall I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. I read a couple of replies they’ve left for other Unilocalers and they really come off aggressive. I’m sure they’re banking their success on locals that live in the area. It’s all good if you like this place I just won’t be suggesting it to my friends.

This place has great Thai food and it is a cute setup as well. Everything was clean and all of the employees were super friendly. The bar also had a great selection of cocktails and had some craft beer available as well.
We got 2 dishes and a soup and had leftovers. Everything was as it should be and we left happy and didn’t forget our leftovers. Score for us the next day!

I ordered the lunch special. It’s affordable and comes with a soup or salad!!! So good!
The service here is great and also their Thai tea is bomb. The ambience is cute and right in the beach!

I really enjoyed this place especially because of the ambience. I love being able to come to the beach and then get Thai food. Also, it’s great to get dessert after!

Me and a group of co-​workers came here last weekend and had a blast!
Food– Appetizers were on delicious, especially try the bacon wrapped shrimp and the Fried Shrimp Won-​tons. A favorite of mine is their Drunken Noodles and their Yellow Curry. Honesty their menu selection was plentiful, wanted to get everything!
Alcohol– Amazing beers on Tap. If your lucky they may still have their Beer of the month– Downtown South Ale was so good I couldn’t get enough of it. Also their tangerine Beer was also note worthy.
Environment– Nice Lighting, courteous waiter/​waitresses, amazing aromas coming from the Kitchen.

Location was perfect, because as soon as we got out of the restaurant there were bars to either side of the restaurant.

Best Thai place in town!!! Fast service and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for authentic thai food this is where you need to come.
The yellow curry is to die for.

Yellow Curry that my husband ordered was awesome. The lunch portions were just right and was reasonably priced (I think $ 8.95). I can’t remember the name of what I ordered «L3» on the lunch menu. I got it with just veggies and no meat and it was very filling.

Delicious Thai food and super friendly staff.
The drunken noodles are so good it will feel like you got smacked in the taste buds. There is a large selection of refreshing beer and you can enjoy the beach after. Just make sure you don’t eat and drink so much where you would walk off the pier.

Love the curry and the appetizers. Very delicious and healthy food. The ambience and décor of the restaurant are very aesthetically pleasing which leaves for a solid dinner experience. The location of the restaurant is great, right on main in downtown seal beach with a solid view of Main Street. Nice during sunset and if you write a review on Unilocal you get a free Thai ice tea. So you already know why I’m writing this.

Had a wonderful day before Christmas eve (¹²⁄₂₃) experience at Thai on Main. The food was outstanding, we had a tofu, curry, and fried rice dish. Chang beer was $ 2 and the Seal Beach locals were out in force. On top of the great food, we ran into unexpected entertainment. They had an acoustic guitar gentlemen singing Christmas carols and easy listening music. He was excellent and it really set the mood.

We love the Pad See Ew with the crispy pork. It is quite excellent. I would also highly recommend the pineapple friend rice. All their noodle dishes were fantastic. Add the crispy pork. You will thank me later.
On a sick day their Tom Yum Goong soup was fantastic clearing the sinuses and helping heal the body.

I almost demoted to 4-​star because the lunch portion, though perfectly sized, was so delicious it left me begging for more (okay not really, but I was feeling gluttonous!).
What’s great? The green curry, Tom Kai soup (spelling?), drunken noodles, & fresh spring rolls!
Get a table by the window and people watch. For dessert, I’d recommend going down the street to Bistro St. Germaine for a crêpe and cocktail.

Came here and liked most of the things I ordered (they were acceptable) however, the pork noodle soup… Tried to send it back… We are now sitting here trying to pay our tab and told the great server that we could not eat it. Owner then called and threatened to call the cops bc I wouldn’t pay for the one dish I sent back. Call the cops. I own two restaurants in Hb. You do not charge for food people can not eat.
Update: he told my girlfriend who wanted to just resolve the situation and pay for everything just to stop anger (never come back, I’m calling the cops and you’r getting arrested)
He then said SCREAMED to her «no you listen to me! You’re rude! You’re rude ! «
We walked out and our waitress still kept her tip.
If you come here make sure you like shitty food and ufc management. The girls who serve are great… Probably because they are scared
Now we have had the cops called even though my gf went and took care of the tab that should have been on them. This place will not last long. As a restaurant owner I know the customers come first.
Wanted to like this place but too many of my employees were disappointed and when I came to check it out myself the management was just not what I expected it to be. Hopefully they can clean management house and get their stuff together.
You were the rude one not taking off the one thing we didn’t like. When our server tells us to just leave without your arrival it is a U problem … You manage a Thai place so I can understand your frustration… I own MANY bars in Oc, La and now Las Vegas… My employee paid her bill and you still kept the cops rolling… They knocked on her door and she had to show her receipt … Which was paid plus a 20% tip.
My employee walked out in tears leaving this shit hole.
