I walked into Studio One and was immediately greeted by the receptionist. She booked me an appointment the following Saturday with Krishna. My natural hair color is ash/​light blonde and my friend had bleached all the color out of it. I needed a color correction-​it was tricky and going to be time consuming. Krishna wasn’t expecting such a big project to walk in at 9 am however she took her time and we came up with a plan to correct my color. My appointment lasted 4.5 hours. Krishna paid extra attention to detail when correcting my blonde and she integrated darker tones to bring my color back. The environment was clean, calm and friendly along with fair pricing. I highly recommend Studio One and Krishna.

I just move to Seal Beach and started searching for a new hairstylist. I google the salons around the area and I found Studio One. I wanted someone with experience so they book my appointment with GLADYS. She was really nice and professional. It always been really hard for me to find a hairstylist because I have really curly hair and unmanageable. I can tell she was really knowledgeable and she knew what she was doing.
My hair was amazing!!! I get noting but complements. GLADYS is the best hairstylist I ever had. I highly recommend her!!! I already booked my next appointment With her.

Alexi Cobb is the BEST eyebrow artist on EARTH. After having my eyebrow nearly waxed off by another salon, Alexi worked with me over several months to regrow and shape my brows. Recently we began eyebrow extensions and I am truly amazed at the results. I feel beautiful after my visits with Alexi. I highly recommend her! Job well done Lexi!

I came to Studio One just for Alexi Cobb and her amazing eyebrow skills. Not only did Alexi clean up my haphazard eyebrows we decided to add in the eyebrow extensions as well. I have been back twice now and I can’t tell you how much I love not having to pencil in my eyebrows every morning! They look so great and have helped me to just wake up and go with the kids in the morning instead of worrying about having a full face of makeup done.
Just to add: not only did Alexi do an amazing job she is also just too adorable for words. Love her!

Sadly I didn’t get a chance to have my hair done but I went in to ask a question about my recently chemically damaged hair (thanks to an awful salon). I was so happy to meet Kathy who was super helpful and sympathetic and even gave me special conditioning treatment to take home on the house. She clearly really knows her stuff and was so generous to help out a stranger in need. Wish I’d gone to them for color!

Claudie is the best! She really cares about your hair& gives you what you want! I went from being box color black to a brown haired girl with blonde highlights. Claudie was patient with my hair& gave my hair life! My hair is so much healthier than before I met her. Claudie is a life saver. She is your go to girl! She can work WONDERS!!!

I’m very grateful I found Krishna and this hair salon. I have been coloring my hair for over 30 years and she is the best colorist I have ever found! And I have been to some very fancy, high-​end, ridiculously expensive salons in my day. My hair comes out much better here with Krishna and for less than half the price! With my previous hair dresser, it was pretty much hit and miss. Sometimes it was great… sometimes… not so much. I have never had a bad experience with Krishna. I always leave here happy. Krishna is a very highly skilled, artistic professional. A perfectionist to be exact. She listens to everything I say, asks questions and goes above and beyond to get the results I want. I really could not be happier.
Make an appointment with Krishna, you will be glad you did!

It doesn’t get any better nor more consistent. We go to Gladys. She’s a fabulous person besides great at hair! She gets actually 10 stars. Five from me and five from the friend I go with who took me in there with my bad hair. She also left five stars so that’s now fifteen! Go Gladys! And everyone there is so nice and talented. I’m a Michigander visiting my friends in Huntington Beach, CA. I’m 54 where my hair has really changed texture. I went in with my longish, straight, fine, thinning and frazzled hair. I came out with smooth, clean cut, beautifully highlighted hair. I am elated!
I didn’t know anyone here. I decided to just make an appointment and let fate take its’ course. I did select this salon as the owner was part of the salon tragedy in Seal Beach a few years ago; I wanted to support his efforts.
My stylist, Krishna, was amazing. She was kind, understanding and really went out of her way to give extra care and detail while highlighting my hair.
I highly recommend this salon and will return the next time I am in town.

I have been a customer of Avalon’s for over five years, and she is THE BEST. I have not only followed her to Studio One via three other salons, but I have flown cross-​country from Boston to get my hair done!
She has coloured my hair blonde, red and dark brown, cut it short and long, and they have ALL looked awesome! She is one of those hair dressers who you can say, «Just do whatever you think is best» and trust it will be amazing.
On top of that, she is just super cool and great to chat to, and it’s actually possible to get a good appointment without scheduling months in advance.

I had my hair cut and colored by Claudie. The results looked good, but my experience at the salon was unpleasant. The whole time I was there it was uncomfortably warm and the place smelled like garbage. I’m not sure if a restaurant’s trash was wafting through the open window or what. Claudie was not friendly and hardly spoke to me but instead was complaining to her coworker for much of the time. I was made to feel as though I was inconveniencing her by being there. For a while I considered going back again for my next cut/​color since the results did look good and maybe she was just having a bad day, but I came to the realization that why bother? I can find somewhere else good that does not make me feel uncomfortable.

My stylist Gladys just moved to this salon from Newport Beach, CA. She is one of the best stylists I have ever had (I am a former hairdresser who worked for Sassoon). She specializes in color, cutting and styling. I have recommended several friends who are very happy too!
This is a well managed salon with highly talented stylists. I would recommend any stylist to do your hair. Of course my favorite is Gladys and I have been going to her for a couple of years since I moved to Newport Beach. Yep, it’s worth the drive for me to go to Seal Beach for this salon.
All staff are warm and friendly. You will feel pampered and well taken care of.

I love this place and I love Claudie a lot!) She does the magic. I wanted an unusual modern asymmetric haircut and did not really know who can do it. And I asked some friends for a referral and found Claudie. She does classic and modern hair great. But honestly I was still not 100% confident trying what I wanted — usually I had long dark hair, this time I went for the short blond.
So Claudie did magic to me! I love my hair so much! They look great. It’s going to be the 3rd time I’m going to her tomorrow and I’m so excited).
The salon is great too. I love the interior style. It’s so modern and rustic with the exposed brick walls. And the personnel! Everyone is so nice, they seem like a big family).

Chris Finley is amazing! He has done my hair for 8 years and has never disappointed me. I remember first walking in and telling the girl at the front desk to give me the nicest guy who can deal with a girl with long hair who’s thinking about cutting it short for the first time (I had recently had gone through a break-​up, so needless to say I was very «fragile»). Ever since then, through all my different styles and changes in life, he has been the guy I go to to make me feel amazing about my hair when I walk out. Sometimes a completely new style, sometimes just a trim, but he’s honest and knows exactly what your looking for and what will work for you.

I have been going to my hairstylist for many many years. When he moved to this salon I was wary of change but he’s been there a while now and it’s a great salon to visit. They’re helpful with making appointments, always call with a reminder, and have reasonable prices for hair products.
I’ve never had problems finding a parking spot on the side street and it’s always a pleasure to walk in Seal Beach, it’s never a very far walk. Since going there with Chris I’ve also had my hair done by Amber and she did a great job.
If you’re looking for someone to cut curly hair and not make it too short I can’t say enough good about Chris.

This is a shout out to Liz! She does my bikini waxes and trust me when I say that she is the absolute best! (I trust no other) She is thorough, quick, clean and the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. Just the right person for handling the job ;) As far as I remember, she always books her own appointments so be sure to get her digits when you call the salon.

When I am in SB and am in need of a color, touch up, trim and or products I always go here. Claudie Shouse does a phenomial job. I look like a before and after when I leave. She is very sweet and particular about doing a professional finished look. Don’t worry if you are visiting and do not go here on a regular basis, you will be treated like you do. The interior of the salon is very inviting and casual yet comfortable. It’s not a loud noisy type of salon. Nobody is yelling at each other or telling jokes over the hum of a blow dryer. The front desk receptionist is very nice and prompt. If you need products, the selection is extensive. I also noticed some skin care items on the well stocked shelves. Relaxing with an Ocean breeze. Gotta love that too.
