Pad thai and cheese puffs were amazing and arrived hot. I ordered delivery and it came SUPER quick and was incredibly satisfying. Definitely going to reorder :)

This place deserves 5 stars for its customer service alone! The owner, Jack, genuinely cares about all the customers and is always walking around talking and getting to know everyone that comes in. He even remembers where you sat the last time you came in. The food is extremely delicious as well. I always get the thai beef salad and I love it. The owner goes to the market every day to buy fresh produce for all the dishes. This is truly one of my favorite places to visit. It just feels like home! As a bonus, after telling the owner that we were planning on visiting Thailand, he gave us his personal number to contact him to help plan our trip and find us cheap flights!

FANTASTIC! This maybe the best Thai restaurant I have ever visited. I had the drunken noodles and they were out of this world. My wife had the Panang Curry and it was superb! Both dinner entrees were $ 10.95 and were completely worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I am a big Thai food fan and have eaten my way through lots of Thai restaurants. Rocharin Thai will go down as one my favorites. First, the décor: very zen-like, peaceful and pleasant. The environment complements the attentive, yet unobtrusive, service. As for the food, I can only speak to the one dish I had here; Fire Basil w/Shrimp. It was nothing short of delicious. The dish was cooked just right with a generous serving of shrimp and veggies and that delicious basil. Too often ethnic dishes labeled as spicy hot cater to the American palette and they aren’t hot at all, unless you are a spice wimp. Not so here. The Fire Basil set my mouth on fire, just the way I like it. My eyes watered, my nose ran, haha-my dining partner may have been grossed out. I would consider this restaurant moderately priced and a very good value. It might even deserve a five star but since I have had only one dish here, I don’t know if it is «as good as it gets.» But it’s certainly close.

I don’t usually write reviews but I fell in love with this place and felt compelled to write a review. I come into town for business and make a point to stay at the Hampton inn because it is relatively close to rocha run. I have only got the emerald dish and it is unbelievable. That’s not exactly the name but what I ask for every time. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

My friend brought me here for my birthday. I must say my experience here was fair, we both had the Thai boat noodle. The broth was delicious but it wasn’t hot more like warm and our noodles were still very firm. But afterwards we got the fried banana with coconut ice cream that made our experience here much better. That dessert was sooo amazing I was sad that we finished it lol. But we will definitely come here again!

We came here for dinner on a quite Sunday evening. The menu is definitely very accommodating for a vegetarian or vegan palate. I was pretty surprised to see mock chicken on the menu since most Thai places I’ve been to have really just subbed meat with veggies or tofu. We ordered a glass of wine and beer. Drink prices were around $ 7-$ 12 per glass of wine, while beer was around $ 5 per bottle. Food wise, we ordered the summer rolls, pad thai with mock chicken + extra egg and peanuts, and the cashew nut with tofu. My favorite dish had to be the pad thai with the mock chicken. The flavors were rich and burst with flavor and crunch. The cashew nut was good, but I wasn’t in love with the dish. The summer rolls were definitely fresh and filling. They come in a larger size with 4 rolls per order. Overall great food, friendly service and cozy ambiance. Would definitely come back in the future when I’m craving thai food again!

Rocharin is always my go-to Thai place. I live in Belmont shore and they deliver this way. The food is always hot and tasty. The garlic rice is TODIEFOR! Tonight they were running behind, an hour or so, and the delivery man gave me a gift card and some cash to make up for the delay. Top notch customer service for sure!

I never thought I could say this, but I am really beginning to like Los Angeles. Los Angeles, after all, has a dynamic food scene that rivals some of the best cities in the world. Of course you might argue that Los Angeles«is» one of the best cities in the world and I am certain you could make a good case for it. Most of the marvelous discoveries I have made in the LA food scene have come via recommendations from my friends in the area. But when I am left to fend for myself, I have consistently turned to Unilocal for help discovering some of these amazing food experiences. There’s just one problem — I am finding myself disappointing time and again while relying on Unilocal’s rating system to steer me in the right direction. After searching Unilocal for the highest ranked Thai restaurants in the LA area, I came across Rocharin. Other than a Vegan Thai place and Thai coffee house, this place ranked highest on Unilocal’s list. Just so it’s clear, in Vegas the Unilocal rankings are so amazingly accurate, you could impress Anthony Bourdain with your restaurant picking skills. I am finding that is not the case in LA. Perhaps that is harsh to my brothers and sisters in the LA Unilocal community, but I have been burned so many times i am starting to have doubts. (Please forgive me, oh mighty Unilocal, but I have serious doubts.) I have sat down to write several reviews of my LA food adventures, though almost all of them have been left on the cutting room floor. I simply cannot find it in my heart to tear apart some place I have only been to once and quite honestly may never visit again. Even if that place came highly recommended by Unilocalers in the LA community(or perhaps they ended up getting thrown out«because» of the them). :-) Rocharin was just one example of disappointment, but I am only slightly disappointed, so I will continue. We ordered the Crispy Spring Rolls as an appetizer and I had the Tom Yum, which is my favorite Thai dish and one of the basis(besides Pad Thai) for judging good Thai food. The spring rolls were okay but very sweet, even without the sauce. The Tom Yum was sweet as well, way too sweet in fact. I ordered a 5 in the spice level, but it was barely spicy at all. Their version of the Tom Yum has noodles, which i have seen before. I guess I could take it either way, but the broth was just too sweet. My girl ordered the drunken noodles, her favorite, and guess what? You got it — too damn sweet. Maybe I am being a little too harsh, after all, I do have the privilege of living in a city that is home to one of this country’s best Thai restaurants, and maybe, just perhaps, I have become spoiled by that fact. Honestly, the food was so close to being pretty good, it almost gets 3 stars. ITWASJUSTTOODAMNSWEET!

Some of the best Thai food around. Travels well with delivery. Chicken pad thai is heaven and mango sticky rice makes a great dessert. Be careful with spice though. I love heat and even medium from here has quite the kick!

This is hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had. They have a good variety of traditional dishes as well as some special options. I ordered the Emerald City Noodles(which is essentially Green Curry Pad Thai) and the Tom Yum, both of which were amazing! I’ve never had Tom Yum before, and this was an excellent first impression. It was mildly spicy, had a great zesty kick, and the fried wonton was really crispy and paired perfectly with the soup. The Emerald City Noodles were equally good, and probably my favorite Thai dish to date. Also, even though I was so full after the meal, the fried banana with coconut ice cream is not to be missed. The have beautiful presentation and the hot fried banana pieces are coated in batter laced with coconut flakes, a great contrast to the cold ice cream. Yum!

Saw this place a couple weeks ago when I was meeting up with my landlord, decided to check it out tonight. I normally don’t post reviews but this place is so good. I got the Tom Yum Noodle soup and it was pure perfection. The restaurant itself is clean and the service is awesome. 5 stars from me and I will be returning for sure

I don’t normally review a place unless I feel very strongly about it(good or bad). I’ve been coming to this place with my family and friends for the past couple of years, and it’s fantastic every time! The food is delicious, fresh, satisfying and so great! The atmosphere is chill, and a bit upscale, with cloth napkins, a cool modern interior and nice music that is just right for being able to actually talk with your date or family.(You could have a party or date here easily. It’s intimate yet has enough space for a large party.) I have tried all kinds of dishes here, and none have ever disappointed. The Thai ribs are super great in their garlic sauce. So yummy! The fish is great, delicate and lovely. My favorite is probably the spicy green beans, which are in an amazing spicy red sauce and the green beans themselves are perfectly cooked and still have a crunch to them. The garlic rice is an option and is so delicious. Definitely try it. They do all the dishes you’d expect to find at a Thai restaurant in the U.S., but they also have some great specialties. The owner is often out front to greet you and check in on you. He’s so very friendly and one of the most positive people I have ever met. He always has a smile! And the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s tucked away in the back of a shopping center, so it’s easy to miss it. There’s a parking lot in back, too, which usually has plenty of spots for free parking. I can’t say enough great things about this place!(I’ve also tried many other local Thai places, and in my opinion, this is by far the best Thai restaurant in the area. P. S. The mango with sticky rice dessert is heavenly! Definitely try that as well!

This was a delivery order through Eat24. The yellow curry was delicious! It smelled amazing and tasted even better. I also ordered the wonton soup to meet the delivery minimum. It was very flavorful and filled with veggies, shrimp and chicken. I would definitely order from them again. My order was delivered around 20 minutes before they said it would be, which was awesome because I was super hungry and tired after a long, stressful week. I only had to wait about 25 minutes from order to delivery. I’ll look forward to going to their restaurant in the future, too!

Great service and delicious and affordable Thai restaurant! Celebrated a birthday dinner here on Monday night for 6 people. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. I got a noodle dish(can’t remember the name) that had very small and thin noodles, with chicken, celery, egg, tomatoes, and onions. It was sooo good and had a special sauce all throughout the dish… for only $ 10.95! the portion was huge and took half home for next day. They bring out a special dessert for birthday with a candle and«happy birthday» spelt in chocolate sauce. Definitely recommended this restaurant! It is my go to Thai place!

While here on a business trip from Philly, a group of friends/coworkers decided to ditch the Hyatt and Über to Seal Beach for Thai food. On the way down the highway we passed a street fair(common here but rare at home). That put me in a cautious mood. «This better be good if I’m missing out on a street fair,» I commented. It turned out to be one the best casual Thai places I’ve ever been. Chill atmosphere. Wasn’t crowded, but it was a Sunday. I got the tenderized beef curry. It’s almost like a stew with potatoes. Just a hardy comforting thing on an uncommon chilly evening. We got like a gillion appetizers, and they were all good. Everyone else liked their entrees too. Lychee Martini was a hit

Overcooked or Undercooked, which do you prefer? Can’t decide? No worries, with Rocharin, they take this choice away and give you both. After wanting to visit this Thai Bistro for quite some time now, I decided to check it out and remove a dust collecting bookmark. Located right on the corner of PCH and 5th st. In City of Seal Beach, right behind Koi Sushi restaurant. The interior is a typical bistro style, with its lighted ball pendants, contemporary seating, cushioned communal bench running along the walls, bling bling holders for the napkins, candles and tiny flower center pieces. Although they could’ve done something with the walls, as they’re bare from any wall décor. Maybe they thought the transition of different shades of grey paint were enough… boring I say. Nonetheless, overall a rather nice chill atmosphere. The items ordered started with the SHRIMPWRAPPER– Half was really good, the half that actually had shrimp inside that is. Over 2″ of the wrapper was just the wrapper. So disappointed in the fact of them using such small shrimp. So what are they trying to say? Glad I’m not taking it personal. SOFTSHELLCRAB– was very good, especially with the SPICEYPANANGCURRY(excellent). They have an alternate flavor option of Black Pepper garlic. HONEYRIBS(Pork) — These ribs were just ok. The succulent tenderness of the meat as it falls right off the bone did not exist with these ribs. However the sauce did have good flavor. The plate was garnished with Carrots and Broccoli that were both Undercooked and half cold. HONEYDUCK– Overcooked! The plate also came with a couple slices of sweet potato all wrapped up nicely in foil molded into a duck. After having a few bites I had to send it back. The new duck that was served to us happened to be a little better, but still dry. The funny thing is, they fed us the same sweet potato we partially ate from the prior plate all wrapped back up into a new duck… Nice job kitchen. wow. WHITE and BROWNRICE accompanied the dishes. Brown rice was good, a little al dente. The white rice was very undercooked, borderline crunchy. FRIEDICECREAM(with coconut) — Save the best for last, right? That’s what she said. But seriously, this desert was very good. What disappointed me was the laziness in the plating. The photo of this dessert from over a year ago that was posted on Unilocal was the reason why I bookmarked this restaurant originally. The dish that we received looked like it was plated Denny’s style. Overall, Rocharin was a decent experience at best. The service was pleasant and our waitress was attentive. This issue was with the kitchen. I feel ALL the dishes could’ve been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the poor quality assurance in the kitchen. I hope the owner shakes a few heads back there.

I think I found my new favorite Thai restaurant Being a huge Thai foodie, someone took me here for dinner. We came on a weekday and there was no wait. We were seated immediately at one of their cute booths. Once seated, we ordered the following and its description: Thai Tea– I liked that it was not too sweet. It was really good and perfect. Fried Shrimp Rolls– These were excellent. I loved the beautiful presentation in their deep fry basket. Each shrimp rolls were a good size and served with a sweet sauce. It was an excellent start to our dinner. They are pretty filling. Crab Fried Rice– We asked for added pineapple and it was delicious. There were a lot of crab in it. Yummy!!! Pork– This was served with the bone. They were flavored well and tasted really good. If you like crab then this is the dish for you. My only complaint was that it was a tad dry. Fish– The fish was a fried fish covered in an orangery sweet sauce. I thought it was very good and the fish was not fishy. I would get this again. Tom Yum– The tom yum here tasted different than other thai restaurants. It was a lot more sweeter but in a good way. I really enjoyed it. Our total was $ 69(without tip). I thought the pricing was very good considering how much food we had and quality. The service was excellent. They were very nice and the food came out fast. The restaurant is small but beautiful. It kinda looks like a wine bar inside with some Asian fusion décor. Their bar area is very cute. I think this restaurant would be perfect for a small dinner party. The table settings are also very beautiful. I cannot wait to come back.
